  • In this clip we go through the steps converting the stock SR250 Special 16'' rear wheel into an 18'' one with a Jadus Spoke Kit and an aluminium rim. The video is also relevant for re-lacing the stock SR250 Classic 18'' rear wheel.
    The video is long but methodical so details don't get missed, but scrub through the parts you already understand and the parts where the building is happening (without any talking) and you will get through it in no time. Also, the video would have been monstrous if the truing of the wheel was included, so we broke it up and included a part two here: • SR250 18'' Rear Wheel ...
    Spoke kits are available from the Jadus webshop here: www.jadusmotor...
    Custom drilled aluminium rims available here: wheelsandparts....
    Or any 36 hole aluminium can be ordered online.
    Lastly, take a minute to check out this article we wrote about spoked wheels, we think you'll enjoy it and hope you also end up seeing the importance and value in even sized, spoked wheels!

    Great video! Do you know if you can lace any 36 spoke rim to a 36 spoke hub. I have an XL 250 rim which is 18” 36 spoke I am wondering if the Jadus 18” upgrade spoke set would work with that rim.

      Hi Jo, most likely not. Most hubs have different spoke hole spacing's and diameters so the spoke lengths would be different.

    Do you also have the kit for an 18 inch front wheel? Would be awesome to have the same excel wheel in😎 my little sr is up and running, I really dig the simplicity of the bike!

      We have a kit for an 18'' front wheel for the single sided drum brake models (1980-85 Japaneses built machines). But not for the disc brake or double sided drum brake models.

    What is the length of each spoke? I couldn't buy it at the Jadus webshop.

      There are 4 different spoke lengths actually. The kits are now available at www.cross-center.com/en/

    Can you use 1982 SR250 Front rim (which is 18" with 36 holes) for rear wheel with your 18" rear conversion instead of buying another rim?

    • @JadusMotorcycleParts
      @JadusMotorcycleParts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! You most likely could. As long as the front wheel/rim is indeed an 18'' and not a 19'' like some SR250's are ;)

    Do you still sell the stainless spoke kit for the 18 inch wheel? I can't find the spoke kit on your Jadus Motorcycle Parts website. I am planning to fit an 18 inch wheel to my Yamaha Virago 250, which uses the same hub and spokes as the SR250. Note, I am in the USA. Thank you.

      Hi Jason, we are sold out sorry! But they are available here: www.cross-center.com/en/rims/all-rims/18x250-excel-wm-rim-36h-yamaha-sr-250-80-83.html They will be able to make you a set of spokes as well. Cheers.

      @@JadusMotorcycleParts Thank you very much for the info. I really appreciate it. These spokes are very hard to get in the USA because the SR250 and SRV250 were never sold here.
