    When you solarization the soil to get rid of weeds, we need to work about our soil microbes being damaged? I have never tried it but I am so tired of weeds! Also, do you should how to make a raised bed with logs?

      Everything naturally goes to seed!

      When it “bolts” it’s about to flower, then flowers make seeds.

    Doesn't the black tarp/plastic kill the beneficial microbes, etc as well as the weeds?

    • @humbleservantshomestead7974
      @humbleservantshomestead7974  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It does kill off some of the microbes but not all. As soon as the tarp is removed the microbes from surrounding dirt also quickly repopulate the area minus the weeds of course. Also if your consistently using organic compost, you help to repopulate your healthy microbes as well.

      @bmiles4131 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Must be a proper garden tarp. I tried a blue tarp to kill grass one summer and when I pulled it up I found thick grass enjoying the shady, moist environment I made for them. I would’ve thought the heat would kill them. 😂

    please don't turn this into a doomsday/conspiracy theory/fearmongering channel. there are so many channels i no longer watch because they pivoted to the perspective. but if you find it generates views then i guess you'll do it.

      What an amazingly ignorant comment. You had better wake up to what is coming. There is nothing conspiratorial about the need to grow your own food.
