    I got my callaloo seeds from your garden and did everything you suggested and they were beautiful and the leaves were huge. When I noticed bugs trying to attack my plant I used the diatomaceous earth and it worked well.i enjoy all your videos/ tutorials. I like peeking into your garden because it's amazing. Thank you for your tutorial today.

    We in Jamaica don't root it up we cut it each time it springs up so the calalloo tree last us for a good time and when it start to seed that when it get tuff we may leave that one for seeding to replant .so one tree may last for 3 months

    • @humbleservantshomestead7974
      @humbleservantshomestead7974  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      We dont root them up either. This one is growing in our walkway which is why it was pulled up as a demonstration to show the root structure. We sell callaloo by the bundle as well as chopped and washed by the pound so we do a good job maintaining our plants through out the season. We have several videos showing how we do both. We've grown callaloo for over 12 years this way.

These are callaloo for seed so we didnt treat them at all. Please go back and watch our other callaloo videos to see tips we share on keeping them pest free. Also remember you have to treat UNDER the leaf and re-apply after rain falls!

      Fresh chicken dung will stink. It has tons of ammonia. When it is cured and becomes manure, it does not stink.
      All you have to do to cure fresh dung is to spread it on the ground in the sun, no more than 4 inches. Incorporate some dirt, grass, etc. Cover with a layer of hay, or grass. Water it lightly and leave for 6-8 weeks. Water if there is no rain. In the end, you will have the best manure w/o any stinky smell.
