- Just a quick walk around vid of our 1947 Chevy pickup. Basically stock with rebuilt 235, Fenton headers split exhaust, new w/w tires,flowmaster muffler. First start up after winter storage which explains a lot of condensate blowing out of the tail pipes. Sorry for the sun streaks and wind noise still trying to figure out this new camera. Split manifold sounds much better, it eliminates the loud popping
I have a 55 first series 3100 with a 292 in it with a 700R4 and a Gear Vendors Over Drive. I have a Cliffford 4 barrel intake manifold on it using a 1200 CFM throttle body. It runs great too.

You sir are very observant. The firewall was intentionally left the original paint which was green. The truck was my dad’s work truck that he purchased in 1959. When I was a young boy we went on numerous fishing trips and outings. He passed away when I was 12. When I started driving in high school It became mine. After I was done with my enlistment (USN) I decided to come home and fix it up. So to honor my dad’s memory I left the firewall the original paint. Every time I lift the hood I think of him and the days of my youth. Thank you for showing interest, in my truck. My family and I enjoy it on outings and cruises these days.

I used to have, and rebuilt myself, a '54 3100 standard cab. Got it from my grandpa in '83. Had to let it go in '03.

+Tony Jimenez, Thanks, coming off the cast iron fentons I have 2" head pipes into a flowmaster series 800 crossflow muffler. I had to use the crossflow 800 with 2 inlet/2 outlet because of space restrictions. This particular truck has the stock gas tank under the bed in the frame rails. So space between the driveshaft and tank, then trying to fit the dual exhaust was cramped. I finished the exhaust with 2" tail pipes with chrome extensions.

Needs glasspacks with that six. Makes the exaust snap and crackle

Hard to say. It could be as simple as him saying something “triggering” and then a person gets their feelings hurt and goes just to dislike all his videos.
Seeking simple solutions to complex problems is foolish and counter productive.
