I strongly disagree :-) Considering it's freedom she longed for, yet she feels indebted her whole life to Guillaume. You can meet them on a market place in Beauclair together, she sounds resigned, not happy. If you do the egg thing, you can meet Vivienna in Novigrad, Skellige and so on, running around like a wonderous child, enjoying every sight, travelling the world in true freedom fashion 🙂 I mean, It's a tough decision and while doing the quest, the only thing that would prevent you from the not so happy outcome is the utmost respect to Viviennes autonomy, not snitching and honoring her will. As this would grant her the freedom she always longed for and never could've expected. But by forcing her to go with Gillaume, in hopes of an even better outcome, you'll get one, for Guillaume and for you, but not for Vivienne.
The point of view depends on the point of sitting. Nobody forces Vivienne to do anything. And she has no debts because she simply fell in love with Guillaume. The fact that she seems happy in another scenario is a fairy tale on steroids. Seven years of apparent joy in the name of so-called freedom? Bitch, please. It's like: she must be happy now because she only has 7 years left. In this ending, she gained an eternity of freedom and happiness with someone she love and that someone loves her unconditionally. Now she is truly free. Now she gains the unlimited freedom she dreamed of.
@ Sure, tll it to yourself over and over again, you will believe it :-) But have you ever talked to Vivienne afterwards when you meet her in both instances? One does not simply fall in love to the guy who did something noble. I wonder where this love comes from you are talking about. Vivienne does not know Guillaume. If there is a fairytale, it's that story of the damsel in distress falling instantly in love with their saviour... pah :-) Please, meet her in Novigrad at the docks alone and in Beauclair with her "love" and tell me how free and happy she is :-)
20:03 If you haven't read the books, you might be unaware that Geralt is a knight -- and he's not even from Rivia. That said, Geralt started going by "Geralt of Rivia" because he was told his name would carry more status and meaning if it sounded like he came from a notable place. But then it wound up working out in his favor when Queen Meve knighted the witcher and officially dubbed him Geralt of Rivia as a favor after Geralt helped Meve out and rescued her from a Nilfgaardian army
One of my sister's favorite passages in the book. IIRC his companions found the whole dubbing as "Geralt of Rivia" rather humorous. I don't think Rivia was notable, just moderately exotic. He even adopted Rivian accent. Geralt himself was too young to remember where he was from before arriving to Kaer Morhen.
3:36 it really is 1:21:28 Geralt the PROFFESIONAL witcher, monster slayer, lifter of curses 1:22:12 reminds me of the story "Grain of truth" from the witcher books. Where a curse is lifted by true love. I believe you can meet the two LOVEBIRDS in Skellige.
You can indeed meet the lovebirds again, but not in Skellige! Towards the ending of the dlc when you need to visit the palace again you can have a small conversation with them somewhere high on a balcony overlooking the tourney grounds. However if you chose the egg method you can meet Vivienne alone in Novigrad and Skellige. (some expert player has even found out she can literally die after 7 in-game years, that amount of detail is insane!) You can also meet Guillaume alone outside of a tavern in Beauclair, he became a drunk and will still be angry with Geralt. Also i’m not too sure about this but I heard of one hidden fact that Guillaume can die during certain events in the main story if he didn’t end up with Vivienne and afterwards you can visit his grave and Vivienne will be mourning him there, so basically it turns out that it really is true love after all even if they didn’t end up together.

This is the best ending to this quest. You should be proud.

I actually have never seen this ending. It was better than I thought it possible.

So nice to see someone willing to truly consider the feelings of the participants and to take an informed risk on this quest. Well done!
true love is loooove
Nobody uses mounted combat during their first playthrough, till the tourney... 😉😆
With the full bear armour you have, you'll never be more powerful then you are right now
You are one of the few who got the good ending on that bird quest
"succor" means "aid". I don't remember it being used anywhere outside of Blood and Wine.
Happy ending!? a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.
I always choose orielle egg method
