Chris Cornell is an underrated member of this movement and there are several reasons for this, among them: He was the pathfinder of Grunge SOUNDGARDEN was the first band to have a signature and to sort of authenticate this term grunge that didn't even exist before. He formed TEMPLE OF THE DOG which was a tribute to Andy (another underrated grunge band due to his early death) and with Eddie Vedder, which after this band, allowed the formation of Pearl Jam. And perhaps the most underrated reason of all is that Nirvana put grunge on the rise from SEATLLE but there were bands with better and much richer content than them. Cornell was more poetic than the Beatles, heavier than Black Sabbah and with a vocal timbre compared to Freddie Mercury. He was a musician with a combination of excellent vocal, melodic and artistic quality. NO ONS SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE.

1:28 - That has to be exactly what we all do when we watch Chris. Music hasn't recovered since 5/18/17. Time is a painful reminder that he's still not here with us. The heartbreaking, and tragic way he left has made me think differently about life and existence...I cherish the pictures i took along with the awesome memories of a killer Soundgarden concert i went to in 2012 in Atlanta, GA! (I was close to the front like 4 ppl back, and i will never forget we made eye contact for like a brief second, i remember it vividly! I was just as big of a fan back then and i'll never forget that little fanboy moment lol!! Also, I love that everyone of us shares like a perceptive unity. Which is comforting to know that he will NEVER be forgotten, and neither will this timeless music!
News of his death is the worst birthday present I've ever gotten. I go on a SG/AS kick a couple times a year. Usually around my birthday in may 18th and listen, watch the magic Chris Cornell gave us with his outstanding talent.
Admiration and love, joy, respect. Plus Chris is sweating his balls off giving his all to his audience enjoying his passion. Just amazing shows in his face literally pouring out of him. Wow.

These guys are all top notch musicians but yet they watched Chris as if they were so fortunate to not only share the stage with him but to have the best seat in the house. The best compliment you could ever get is the respect from your peers.

I love this video....., I love how his bandmates look at him admiring the way he sings as all other fans do!
He looks so emotional here singing this, we miss you Chris, rest peacefully with all of your beloved friends in heaven ❤
You can see the other guys looking at him early in the song and thinking "fuck, this guy is good". RIP Chris.
Propjoe10 lmao I noticed that too so reading your comment made me lol thanks breeh
That's a real masterpiece of song...forever. RIP C.C.
This song is for spiritual long-hall truckers like me and my late brother Jonathan (1979-2023!) We are the highway!
Admiration and love, joy, respect. Plus Chris is sweating his balls off giving his all to his audience enjoying his passion. Just amazing shows in his face literally pouring out of him. Wow.
Thank you for this wonderful video❤
I love Chris Cornell. He’s a true rock legend. So underrated
😢 he brought so much talent to so many people ,there will never be another one like him😢
What is so amazing about this is his band members watching the intro as if they are not band members, but Fans. These guys are all top notch musicians but yet they watched Chris as if they were so fortunate to not only share the stage with him but to have the best seat in the house. The best compliment you could ever get is the respect from your peers.
Imagine having that voice and the ability to play a guitar at that level...,...,,,.,
That bead of sweat coming down his face... omg... miss you, CHris.
I'm an old guy at 60 years old I have never heard anyone's voice like Chris what a complete tragedy that was I don't think there is a better singer in the world than him I'm sure he's missed by so many people who loved him and I'm one of them
Agreeing with the last post. His voice literally brings me to tears. Such a beautiful person
This was an awesome performance
One of the best songs ever. Thank You Cornell. Miss you. R.I.P.! Sorry you had to go through the pain you endured…
This era of music was the best
