All NEXUS and Elite ECUs running the Haltech NSP software feature an in-built oscilloscope. But what exactly does an oscilloscope do and how is that useful for tuning cars? Hey i know this is a unrelated topic but I performance shop in Sydney has put a password on my PS 1000 and kept on beating around the bush and so I took it over too him and he swore to me it wasn't him and then on the way home I give it some beans up on to the m4 and looked in my rear view and what do you know I've had cylinder 4 suffer ringland failure and so it's out now in the bin I have Troy from pro speed performance sending Scotty at Ichibahn a IAG EJ20 MAGNUM to build and I just want this lock sorted before the car is sorted so when it comes to tuning it there is no further headaches I will call you guys sometime this week but if someone can give me a quick short answer to this massive long question that would be great cheers 👍🏻
Still amazed at these Easter eggs to Elite owners. I suspect the scope will be a well used remote support tool helping everyone on setup and first starts. I’m going to simulate a non starting car with injectors off to learn how to troubleshoot triggers etc. with the scope on cranking. Looking forward to getting my car back and playing with all NSP toys.
Great episode to watch thanks Scott. Any chance of another oscilloscope episode showing how to use the NSP scope to check and adjust your ignition coil dwell table? :)
Any reason why 'trigger voltage' and 'home voltage' channels are not available for me? Also how do you display a scope from a saved log? I can open a log in NSP software but the scope is blank.
..an example of a defective coil, fuel injector or a troubled hall sensor etc would have really driven home the usefulness of the scope feature and the potential of its use as a real diagnostic tool. Shame.

Really good to see a proper scope in an ECU, and thanks for the explanation 👍
also the show time cursors is the way to show the actual voltage readout, extremely handy for setting trigger arming voltage with a reluctor sensor
glad this is finally here. it was one of the functions I was looking forward to when the elite series first came out!
Oscilloscopes are literally the best tool in the wooorrrlldddd

good video man, love it. thanks @Haltech for making these knowledge drops
Ah yes, REALLY technical nitty gritty, love it!
Haltech with useful features for the win!
All I can say is about time ;)
Your Adaptronic line of ECU's had this feature for over 4 years.
You're welcome.
Good stuff guys!
I'm literally doing this tonight. How weird to get posted now!
Hi, just wondering do you still have your g6e or sold it? Is the motor still sweet or has it lunched with that big power 479rwkw?
Sorry the G6 is long gone.
Any reason why 'trigger voltage' and 'home voltage' channels are not available for me?

Same issue with voltage not there
Channel 9 works fine thanks ))
Rally antilag setup please!!!!!
Where exactly is this in the software? This would have saved me SOOO MUCH time a couple of months ago 😪🥲
Also, that engine simulator... don't see it at the store 😎
There is a Scope icon in the main menu bar that's at the top of the software window: th-cam.com/video/Yr2qotoDsUY/w-d-xo.html
The ECU Tester box is only available to Authorised Haltech Tuners, not available to public, sorry.
@@haltech time to make one! Hold my beer! (HAPPY THANKS GIVINGS! THANKS FOR THE AWESOME VIDEO AS ALWAYS!)
Any chance Andy has somthing to do with this lolololol I'm happy development has gone so far
