    New owner should stop in and give the old guy a ride every now and then. I know I would. I'd love to find the '65 Mustang I had in 1999-2005. Wish I had never sold it. 😭

      Yeah, sold my 66 GT Mustang in 1990. It had a built engine. I wish I would have kept it.

    As a "Car Guy" too. I am in tears too. Selling your Dream Machine is extremely hard on your heart and soul. My Dream died back in April of 2020.

    How I’d be if I sold my 1990 corolla. I couldn’t imagine selling a car that beautiful that I took care of for so long

      @@skylerallens believe it or not, the Toyota Corolla debut in 1966, since then over 50 million have been produced, it is THE car for the masses, the most popular and reliable car in the world, Corvette is a sports car I love to own someday although not so efficient and reliable as a Corolla but it certainly has the looks 😊👍👍👍💯💯💯

    My uncle sold his 63 split window coupe in 1982 for 4,000 dollars.

  • @nukarr
    @nukarr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Only reason he sold that was either Medical Bill's for himself or family - absolutely ZERO reason to sell it other than financial distress.

    • @Sergeantgrunt
      @Sergeantgrunt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not true. Maybe he decided to retire completely and this is how he's doing it. I know when the time is right I might sell my 66' 327 coupe for the right price. It's all about the future plans. It won't be easy for me either, buy if it means being more comfortable for the next 20 years, then that what you have to do.

    • @nukarr
      @nukarr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sergeantgrunt it's a possibility but the way he was crying I suspect theres a medical issue or financial distress somewhere in his family
      Course he COULD be retiring in Ecuador etc in an Expat community where a car like that is impossible to keep and the cash pays for 20yrs of Upscale GRAND living w/medical included

    Id be crying too knowing the profit i just made lol

    • @projectg408
      @projectg408 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He’s probably already very well off and I don’t think you really think of “profit” here since it essentially took 60 years to generate that profit… that’s about $5k a year. It’s nice but isn’t the moral of the story here. He’s just sad to see something go that he loved and had for so long.
      Now, the _new_ low production super and hypercar “come up” game actually _is_ something worth looking at in terms of quick, hefty profit. If you get your hands on the right new Porsche 911 or certain Ferrari models… or restricted cars like the new Ford GT… and see the gains on those in just a few years time (the 2015-16 Porsche 911R is a prime example)… it’s pretty incredible and unprecedented how much profit you can make flipping the right supercars nowadays.
