Suggestion @Cathy Zielske when lining up a card front to a base, put the base into the corner of your misty or scoreboard and put the panel on it lining that up too!
I really enjoy your channel! The best part about you is that you show me that you can change your plan and sometimes things don’t go as planned and they still come out extraordinary! And I love the boop! 🩵💜
Love that background you created for this gorgeous card, Cathy! I have a gel plate but have never used it, think it’s time to hunt it up! I was making cards yesterday and of course half everything on it and proceeded to get some black ink on it.eraser didn’t work, so resorted to the white gel pen. Worked like charm!
Love this idea and the die is awesome ! As an FYI. We Griffinites follow Anna Griffin’s recommendation and cut INTO the magnetic mat. It’s not as big a deal for this type of die, but for intricate dies, especially those that are 3D like Anna’s are, it makes all the difference, AND then you only replace the magnet mat. Hope that’s helpful!
The background is really really pretty - such a soft look. I’m inspired to use oxides on the gelli plate now. :-) I’m glad you don’t edit out the little things that don’t go to plan - this type of thing happens to me constantly.
I LOVE the transfer that you created!!! And I use an empty brayer over my paper when transferring from my gel press instead of pressing like you. It makes it so much easier!!
Pretty colors. This makes me want to pull out my gel press. Not sure if your electric eraser was a sand eraser, but, I find the grey side of the Tombow Sand Eraser does a great job at getting rid of boo boos on white card stock.
I haven’t used mine in quite awhile because it I packed away (the story of my life). I do enjoy making prints though. Cathy, it is a hand made card. It will have imperfections. I think the gel pen did a fine job covering that spot. I always say, if the recipient points out the flaws, they do not deserve your hard work making them a card.
Great save, Cathy! I've had the same issue on cards the Gel pen rescued it. For some reason, if you use your Gel pen on your hand, it works well to get it started. 😂
Cathy, the card is beautiful and anyone of your friends would love to receive it. Also your good friend Jenifer Mcquire says if the recipient critiques your hard work they are off the list. 🤣 Have a great crafting day. 🥰🤗
Hi Cathy 💜🌹🐑 from Down Under having Recently moved from Redfern to Enfield here I came online to find 🐑 as I wanted to thank 🐑 as I searched your site to find your suggestion to use a Lazy Susan to place under my Gemini Junior Machine because My new craft space I also need to be able to turn my Machine the 90 degrees… lol … I searched and bought the 2 pack from Amazon got next day delivery as I have Prime … lol … I will find a use for the other Lazy Susan hahaha I haven’t tried to use the machine yet but just wanted to thank 🐑 for your clever idea I didn’t need the idea where I actually lived in Wyong when 🐑 suggested it but I kept the idea in the back of my mind but I just searched your site til I found it … lol … and this page is appropriate because I too haven’t been able to use my gel plates and Oxides where I was living in Redfern and I am still unpacking and setting up my place and craft area
I don’t think I’ve seen many crafters use Neenah #110 with their Gel Press- usually a lightweight thinner paper. I’m guessing different results with different paper which is good to know. I really don’t have room to have lots of different types of paper. Pretty colors!
A tip for the beater is to follow through instead of rolling shirt strokes back and forth. This gets a nice layer of ink all around the brayer. Beautiful color combo!
Beautiful card Cathy. We all have covered up marks with white gel pen more then one time or another. Your card is perfect . I love the colors is so lovely and refreshing. Have a lovely day Cathy.🩷🩷🩷
My crafting day is not going smoothly. I had to stamp a bookmark 4 times before it worked. I have a mono sand eraser just for little smudges like that. It works, then I go over it with a white eraser.
So soft and pretty! You could cut another die cut and put it on top to cover the black spot... plus, dimension! And we all know, "dimension is life" 😄😄😄
I use micro sticky dots from Scrapbooking Made Simple. They are awesome. They only stick on the part you need them to stick they don’t stick anywhere else.
I had the same trouble with a die like the one you used. Wished the companies would include the directions in/on the package. I need to get my gel plate out & try this fun background technique. Very pretty card. 💜
I would have cut another cover die piece and put it on top because I never get the glue off once I mess it up. It is nice to see even CZ isn't a perfect crafter. Really cute card, love the series!
So pretty! Can't count how many times I have worked hard on a card and at the last minute something gets on it. The card is so wonderful, I doubt that the recipient will notice.
Such an adorable card. Like your new series. I don't have a gel plate and the more I see it used, the more I want one. Thank you for your inspiration. :)
I love how your background came out. Have to get out my brayer and gel press pad. Sorry you got that mark on there but think you covered it up well. No one will notice and if they are looking at your card that close then maybe they have nothing better to do with their time. They should be thankful that you cared enough to send them a card instead. Ha ha. Thanks so much for a great video.
Good grief..... You had me on the edge of my seat a few times especially with the thing from your tweezers. My poor blood pressure! It is a cute card. The background is stunning. I am going through learning with new things right now like perfect pearls and heat embossing. Well done! Another successful and fun video!
Love this card so much,, Cathy! Its got a soft sherbet kind of feel to it - delicious! 💝Thank you for sharing your design talent and your challenges because I sincerely need your design talent and then to see how you work through the challenges you encounter, which I face with every card I make! 🙃😂
I love this card, Cathy! My die plate like this arrived last week and it’s just been sitting on my desk. I’m excited to play with it next week. I love the colors you used for this. This series is great and I’m looking forward to the next one. Have a good week!
This is so soft and beautiful! I've found that if I rub the tip of the white gel pen on the pad of my finger it gets the ink flowing much better than using paper. Love the new series!
Oh Cathy! Sometimes crafting can be painful!! Thanks for keeping it real. I know I can relate to everything that happened in the crafting session for you. And... the card turned out beautiful anyway!! Cheers!!
Very very sweet card. I wonder how many of us viewers were calling out 'white gel pen, white gel pen' and voila ~ you heard us. LOLOL Perfect!
haha! right?
That’s one of the most beautiful cards you’ve made even if it gave you trouble!💕🎉🥂🎉💕
Oh th ank you!
Very pretty but simple. ❤❤❤❤❤
Fun! Now I have to get out my brayer and distress inks!
You could also cut the words apart and use just love you, or love, or you, etc. very versatile
Reminds me of a beach sunset!
Suggestion @Cathy Zielske when lining up a card front to a base, put the base into the corner of your misty or scoreboard and put the panel on it lining that up too!
Very pretty card. I like that color pallet.
Getting ready to watch your video. Chilling on my birthday today.

I love that die and I really love that color palette!
That is so pretty Cathy!! I am going to dig out my gel press & make something. I love that colour!!
That would be cool for a new baby girl card. Lovely
Oh it would!
Absolutely love this card! Can’t wait to try this technique out. It’s absolutely beautiful. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you so much!

Really pretty. Love the soft colors you get by using the gel plate.
Thanks so much 😊
Lovely card! I love when you make a mistake and show us how to fix it❤
I already love this! And I love the series concept also!

Love it, now I have to look into that gell press😃
If you used watercolor paper, you can blend the stripes with a paint brush n a bit of water. so it looks painted. ❤
Love the card!
simple and beautiful! Right up my alley!
Better than horrible- remember.
Looks great
Love the brayer
I had the same trouble with a die like the one you used. Wished the companies would include the directions in/on the package. I need to get my gel plate out & try this fun background technique.
Very pretty card. 💜
Beautiful!!
I just saw an old video from Mindy Eggen doing this technique. I love this! Great job Cathy!
I would have cut another cover die piece and put it on top because I never get the glue off once I mess it up. It is nice to see even CZ isn't a perfect crafter. Really cute card, love the series!
So far from perfect!
So pretty! Can't count how many times I have worked hard on a card and at the last minute something gets on it. The card is so wonderful, I doubt that the recipient will notice.

Glad you kept it as is....love the striations! This is awesome!

Often I love the roll offs more than the original!

I love this card! You got a 2 for 1 with the "wipe-off" card piece.
Adorable ❤
So cute! Run gel pen over your finger to get it working again. I learned that from Amy. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for the tip!

Hello from Denver CO and very happy to Ben catching this live
Pretty colors…I have to leave for now…will revisit you on the playback. Thank you, Cathy
I would have trimmed the first panel in my trimmer so as not to waste it! Wouldn’t have been as perfect as yours!
That is gorgeous Cathy! Love that!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful! I need to break out my gel press and brayer! ❤
Oh Cathy! Sometimes crafting can be painful!! Thanks for keeping it real. I know I can relate to everything that happened in the crafting session for you. And... the card turned out beautiful anyway!! Cheers!!
Thank you for this series. 🥰💕
Lynn Le Bel beautiful card Cathy!!
Love this! Thank you, Cathy! You reminded me to pull out my almost forgotten tools to create lovely cards. 💕
It’s perfect, I love it! No one would ever know unless they were looking for the little tiny black mark! 😂
Love your brayered panel. I need to try this. Love the die cut too.
So glad you moved the sequin between the Y and the O! I was yelling at the screen! The brayered background turned out amazing!
Love the colors.
Will have to try out my brayer and oxides, as I love the look. Thanks Cathy!
Love this card. I should get my gel plate out!
Nice project! The stripe effect is unique to this technique. I am looking forward to this series. Need a gel plate now!
