Hey what is going on guys, today I'm sharing with you How To Use HEAD TRACKING For FREE In Racing Sims!! These settings will work in any racing sim that supports head tracking including AC, and give a VR like experiance without the performance or hardware cost!! Id like to let you know, like others have posted, this has changed everything in all my games. Il2, MSFS, Arma 3, and each and every one of my driving games. The immersion has increased to the point where i can feel the cars under me. I hope to now know how the cars feel differently to each other in ways ive seen countless reviewers say, but havent actually felt myself.
I literally went out as soon as i saw this video and bought a cheap webcam from the supermarket before they closed 😂 i have since upgraded to a 60fps one for added smoothness.

Hey, one thing to be aware of, there is a bug/software clash inside AC. If you install this, then the "pitch" inside the camera in game no longer works. View up/down/left/right/front/back all still work...just not pitch. Something inside AC and the dlls inside open track dont always play very well. If you are all-in on the face/head tracking then its a non-issue, but something to note.
i havent had any issues with that, especially when the progams are closed
Unfortunately I have to confirm this problem. Also the right left head movement with the keyboard no longer works 😮💨
EDIT: I found the solution. Basically, even if the head tracking program is closed, AC will always try to capture the movements provided by the software. By being closed and given priority over basic controls, ac prevents the user from changing the pitch of the camera. In order to solve the problem it is necessary either to delete the file folder of the program (in case you don't want to use it later, or just unistall it if you don't use the portable version) or to try to inhibit the program (perhaps by renaming a dll or the executable). In this way ac will no longer recognize the head tracking program and will return to work properly.
EDIT 2: To disable the head tracker, go to the opentrack folder and do the following. Create an empty folder (the name doesn't matter) and move the modules folder inside it, in order to temporarily neutralize the tracker. If you want to use it again, just move the modules folder to the root directory of opentrack (the opposite of what we did before).
this is so cool! i just had a blast with the fh23 at fenryr's new Hungaroring and it was so immersive. best part is that, unlike neckfx, you can still be fast!

MAN! what an interesting program, I wear glasses, and always wanted to use VR but its expensive and Idk if I might be able to use my glasses and VR at same time, great idea to the person who created this, thanks for bringing this content, :)
I can't speak for other brands, but Oculus (Meta now, I guess) comes with a little extender for the face pads to allow enough room to wear glasses with the headset on.
Wow, this is incredible! Installing the webcam and software was very simple, and in my first time trial sessions in F1 23 I literally shaved seconds off my best lap times. I can see the apex much better which makes it easier to turn in at exactly the right time. What a gamechanger! Can't wait to find out how it goes when I finetune the software.

Thanks again I can attest it does in fact work with rF2! The only issue that was entirely on my end, was that I had to use Camera 3 works like a charm. When I log back on, I will configure a wider left right head movement view!
Fantastic video cheers for the upload of this one, Just a head for anyone using an old Xbox 360 Live Vision camera if you run in to disconnection issues go in to device manager and look in "Other devices" and if you see "Xbox Security Method 3, Version 1.00, © 2005 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved" listed disable it (do not uninstall|) then restart the computer and it should now work just fine.

I'm having latency issues. My in-game head inputs are delayed by 1-1.5 seconds and a lot of lag in general. Any suggestions for a fix?

Disabled, it will be quite janky with both head movements happening at once

head movement only, however youd be suprised how much you proabably move your head while driving. i dont have an ultrawide either

It does. Just open in VR mode, and you need to use helmet cam, I believe. Note: if you don't like the helmet obscuring part of the screen, I think you can turn it off somewhere in the settings and still use helmet cam with the head tracking.

after using for the first time, in the next day i turn on my pc and the Track AI don’t recognize my webcam, i should i do ? even the webcam works with the others apps like discord?
This is cool, I've installed, but the AI tracker as an exe file I can't find under add and remove...how does one remove from my system??? Not great on pc 😂

Any reason for continuing to use AITrack, when OpenTrack now has the 'neuralnet' camera tracking built-in? I'd recommend trying it out. It works great. Also, I've noticed a lot less motion lag when using the Kalman filter insteal of Accela (though, I've read that Accela is nicer for flight sims where you have a lot more movement)
I use mine for duel purposes but I’ll have to check it out. As for why I use AITrack, it’s just what I’ve been using. I will definitely look into OpenTracks alternative though

@@lieslikelove Yes, no longer a need for AI Track. You can do it all in opentrack.

Works on ACC, doesn't start on AC. Checked the exe file, it's the same as in content manager. Just won't do anything. Anybody an idea what causes it not to start? Option in Content manager?

Hi, I have followed the steps except the mapping in 8:25, things look working, the squid in opentrack are following my head movement. Then I open AC, but the, change view to inside, but then the camera in AC does not move. Is there anything needs to be activated in AC?

I cannot Install ai track. Any ideas. I unzip the file and then try open it and nothing happens. It keeps telling me to unzip it to run it even though it's already unzipped. Open traxk installed fine
Help why i get roll just when i am just turning to the sides im not rollong my head but still opentrack rolls and turns to the side.
you probably are a little without noticing 😅its a pretty common thing to tilt your head😂
I found roll best to disable or find a minimal effect .Pitch also distrct And left yaw only .but i had same issue like you If i put same values in opentrack as in video, only i realise that those values work fine if put my webcam in a lower position not up to my head as him and in a side place near my wheel base , Anyways i think three effects together are a headache.. but i maybe will find other values to play with particulary in the graph section as i have triple monitors.
