@@chapplefarms I had great success rooting things in my old aquaponics system. Figs, Lemons, mulberries, goumi berries, and more. It was a flood/drain gravel bed. Here at the new place, I have not built a new system yet. So, I am indeed trying my hand at rooting out my first Pineapple guava plants. I got two micro cuttings. One of Mammoth and one of Nikita. Wrapped them in wax grafting tape above the soil line so they don't dry out. The Nikita is putting on leaves and growing now!!! I think I nicked the wood a bit too since it had thicker bark on it. If it were green wood cuttings that would probably not be required.
Wow, I’ve gotta get this one 👍🏾
You should!
Hi, how did you go with this propagating method? Have you tried to propagate by cuttings on soil or coco peat/soil?
Not good, these are difficult to do by cutting. Best to do these by seed
Thnaks!@@chapplefarms
I’ve heard air layering works well for cloning these plants? Just got one so will be trying it out ✌️
Good luck! Have you tried this method for pinapple guava before?
I have been successful with air layers before. I failed with the misting machine because I didn't use a timer, I will try again
