    Thank you so much for your videos! I am using them to study Mandarin. First I watch the video a few times with only the 汉字 subtitles, and then I check my understanding by turning on the English subtitles.

    We call that hard boil egg here. For a poached egg no salt in water just a little vinegar. It still looks good this recipe!

    I have poached many, many, many eggs in my lifetime I do not put vinegar in the water nor do I spin the water. I simply boil a pot of water crack an egg and put it in the boiling water 3-5 minutes later you have a beautiful poached egg that I put on a slice of buttered toast with a little salt and pepper. Yum!

      This only works if your eggs are extremely fresh.
      For older eggs, you do need vinegar and a twirl, plus lots of experience.

      With all due respect... What a mess! A few dashes of plain vinegar in the water and a rolling boil will keep the individual eggs from clumping into something that reminds me of a scene from Alien. Also, those are hard-boiled eggs, not poached.

    Для варки яйца пашот в воду надо добавлять уксус, воду быстро мешать круговыми движениями и в эту воронку выливать яйцо.

      Just look the link in my comment, compare the results and tell me what is more yummy.
      There is no western way or asian way to poach eggs.
      There are cooks who know how to make it, and others who don't know.

      I too, prefer runny yolk in poached eggs & only way have ever consumed them, but this recipe is still useful in a well placed recipe book! The sauce looks extra yummy too 👍

    🥚🍳Делюсь рецептом идеального яйца-пашот: в стакан или кружку наливаете 2/3 объема тёплой воды (выше комнатной температуры, но не горячей), добавляете немного уксуса (полчайной ложки) и аккуратно разбиваете туда яйцо, чтобы не повредить желток. Далее ставите в микроволновку на 50 секунд. Достаете, проверяете - если белок не готов - ещё на 10 секунд.
    Всё...
    Сливаете воду и аккуратно яичко перекладываете на бутерброд или в тарелку. Оно будет иметь идеальные края и жидкий желток. Вариации - менять температуру воды, мощность микроволновки или то, что вы добавите для вкуса в воду, тот же соевый соус.
    Пишите, получилось или нет.

    I'm from Mexico and i did this recipe, I recommend adding a little bit of lemon juice, if you want it spicy u can add chili powder, si son de Mexico pónganle limón pq les va a saber ralo, también dejen q hierva bien el agua con sal y para que no sepa a choquía el caldo ni el huevo, y si quieren que pique pónganle poquito chile en polvo, del q se usa para el chile de los elotes

      I held up my phone with the google translate running in photo mode and watched this on my laptop screen to get the subtitles translated. The color of the text on the background wasn't conducive to a full translation, so these are all very rough interpretations:
      You want to get eggs that are fresh and have slightly rough shells, as this indicates a more stable yolk that won't break and a firmer white that won't "flower" or wisp away too much.
      It's important to wash the eggs thoroughly, to reduce the risk of cross-contamination from being in the vicinity of chicken leavings.
      Cracking the eggs individually into small bowls makes it easier to dip the eggs into the hot water. Also, if you get a bad egg or an egg with a broken yolk, you can try again.
      Boil the water, then reduce to lowest heat. Adding salt will help the egg whites to set up more quickly. Drop the eggs in carefully, without disturbing the water or the other eggs too much, and they won't stick together.
      Cook the eggs for 5 to 8 minutes. If you prefer a softer yolk, take them out at 5, but if you want a solid yolk, leave them in for the full 8.

    Let make it easier.
    First, wash your eggs
    Then put in the cooker, then pull water in.
    Put that cooker on gas stove and turn on the fire.
    When it boiling, wait it 2 to 10 mins if you want your eggs medium rare or perfect cooked

      @@rlevich_Community_Liaison i am a great fan of the Asian food, because some recipes of Asia bring the tastes to a point that we in occident cannot imagine sometimes.
      One if my dreams would be to make a long trip to Indonesia in order to learn Indonesian cooking from a chef.
      This being said, there is absolutely NO acknowledged chef in the world who would propose you poached eggs the way it is described in the video.
      The chef's link that i added in my comment, is not only recognized to be a best french worker (believe me there are not many of them because they have to make a contest), but he also own restaurants that are starred by the Michelin guide ( a world reference to classify restaurants)
      The only thing i can say about your mom poaching the eggs the way she does, is that she did it the same way all her life. It doesn't make her legit about the way to poach eggs as a reference..
      I know that you love her, that you respect her, and i worship that, but the facts are the facts. According to what you said, your mom never knew how to poach eggs.
      We all make many mistakes until we learn the other ways.
      One last remark, if you lived all your life without allowing yourself to express your disagreement, you have a real problem because anyone can abuse of your kindness.
      Regarding me, i am not going to follow your advice, because i would be missing many possibilities in life, but also because i think that the people watching are entitled to know that there are other ways.
      Let me tell you something that happened to me exactly today.
      I am french, but i am in another country to perform a huge surgery on my teeth because it's too expensive in my country.
      And i don't want to explain the reasons, but the apartment where i reside is mine.
      It has a gas boiler for the central heating.
      When i arrived, the apartment had been empty for a long time, and the radiators and the boiler was full of air.
      So i purged the radiators myself and although i am quite good in plumbing, i never touch the boilers myself..
      I did much plumbing in the past because i had a big house that needed reparations that i did by myself.
      So everything is working well except that the boiler is noisy and i think it's because there is air inside.
      I called the service man who didn't try to purge the boiler, and who told me after 1 minute that i had to change the pump ( one of the most expensive parts in it)
      Maybe he is right, but there are so many things to check first that i think that he was probably more after my money than after offering a real service.
      So i asked him to make the purge and the cleaning first, and after that if there is still a problem, i will decide for replacing the pump.
      But he refused, i wrote my disagreement on his bill to keep a legal track, and i made a scandal in the company.
      I told them that if i ask another company to come, and if they solve the problem without replacing the pump, i will send them the police to them.
      I remember how many so called services companies abused of my parents when they was old and sick, and i figured that this company could be trying to do the same. Not so many people know something about plumbing.
      Even the owner of their apartment tried to double their rent in complete illegality. My parents was shocked asking themselves how they would be able to continue to pay their rents.
      After my protestation, the service man will come back on Monday to do the job that i asked him at first, and i plan to film his intervention.
      What if i followed your advice and would not express my disagreement?
      I would only be able to pay for a huge reparations that might not be needed, and to say thank you after.
      I guess that this experience proves my point.
      But thanks for your reply anyway.

    Яйцо пашот варится не более трёх минут. Ну и конечно предпочтительней в курином или индюшином бульоне.... Плотность и солёность бульона не даст растекаемости яиц....

    Фу, получилось бурдо, лучше закипятить воду, выливая яйцо в нержавейку половник опустить в кипяток до половины половника, чтобы не набралось воды и подержать вот так, пока не сварятся , я пробовала, долго, но зато все яйца в самом деле пашот и кругленькие схватившиеся, а не размахлёванные.

    I often cook the egg just like this since i was in junior high school, it taste really good. Or you can make chicken's noodle and add some egg on it yumm its sooo good while the ice or hot tea for the drinking

    Gente! Feito ovos dessa forma não perde às propriedades da proteína do ovo. Eu consumo ovos, todos os dias. Porque é saudável e muito saboroso. Ovo pochê, é o melhor para a saúde. Não exagere no sal de cozinha. Ótima dica!👏😊💛

    Tenho 68 anos e minha já fazia ovos assim.A diferença é que ela preparava o molho e quando fervia, colocava os os. As gemas ficam à gosto.,

    Месиво какое то и все так сложно закручено....и 7-8 мин это долго.....вода закипела, вливаешь немного уксуса, делаешь воронку и вливаешь туда яйцо....получается ровно и краство и 3х минут хватает за глаза

    I am sorry but this is the wrong way to poach an egg . Pls watch how Jamie Oliver poach an egg .
    He uses a deep small pot .
    The water must be hot but not boiling .
    Stir the water in the pot so that when you break the egg into the pot , the water swirl will keep the egg in the middle of the pot position , so even when the eggs are not so fresh it will be fine .
    Every time you put a fresh egg into the pot , you must swirl the water in the pot with a spoon first .

    Se ven muy ricos, en México los cocinamos igual pero en una salsa de chile bien guisada y picosita con frijoles y tortillas calientes y a ese guiso le llamamos huevos hervidos, también se les puede poner nopales picados quedan deliciosos. FELICIDADES!!!

    Это не яйцо пашот! У вас перевареное яйцо расплывшееся в лепёшку. Пашот готовят в закрученной воронкой воде с добавлением уксуса и буквально 1-2 минуты-пока белок не схватится!

    Насколько я знаю, у яйца пашот желток должен быть жидким, а белок плотным,но нежным,за это и ценится.Скорее Вы приготовили немного другое блюдо из маринованных яиц в стиле яйца- пашот.
