      have to be honest with you. I really liked your nostalgia and nothing can be taken away from that. Its EPIC. Ive seen over 40 episodes of yours at-least if not all. But I dislike the modern imagery you slice into the mixture like the trendy picture coming up at the beginning here with duck tape for the mouth. It sort of destroys the fairy-tale of history itself.
      You already provide enough details to enrich the mind of people, thus they should seek further stimuli.
      Its already there in the tale itself. Please keep it that way. I hate to see a good portrait or theme get spoiled by modernity.

    This nearly happened to one of my Great Aunts. Thankfully she was stopped from getting on the boat by family members (I can’t remember who). I do know she thought she was in love and escaping to South America to be with him. She lived into her 90’s with a couple of her siblings but never married. I’ve seen photos of her in her prime, and she was quite striking. I’m sure she must’ve had many offers.

      @drittenberry1 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Absolutely islam was the largest procurer of slaves after slavery was abolished in the west. They preferred white girls especially blonde. As we all know slavery has NEVER ended we just call it trafficking these days. While some like to play the race card in the WEST and purport that slavery is based on race are sadly deluded. The most vulnerable have always been the enslaved.

    • @toniremer1594
      @toniremer1594 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@drittenberry1 Your comment is the best one I’ve read in a long time. It becomes tedious to have to explain, or re-educate, some people that just think that white people are the only ones that had slaves; that IS furthest from the truth, and that is not being taught in schools. It’s not being taught that blacks had slaves in America, and Native American Tribes had slaves also.
      Slavery, in Africa, China and India, is prevalent to this very day. Young women and children are literally kidnapped off the streets in countries of South America, Taiwan, and other Asian countries, then they’re smuggled into America, which is trafficking, like you said.
      I guess the OP either fell asleep during History class, didn’t attend classes, or wasn’t taught that the American Civil War was a two-pronged war. Of course, the southern states threatened to secede from the north (1st reason for the Civil War), and the abolition of slavery (2nd reason for the Civil War). The huge reason why the North won the Civil War was due to it being more industrial advanced than the South.
      There’s not a single race on this planet that hasn’t been enslaved. This is a fact. In my own opinion, slavery is horrible, and NOBODY has the right to enslave another human being for their own purpose.

    This also shows the Africans weren't the only slaves in America,whites were called by the "pretty" name of indentured servants. I watched a program about famous people finding out about their ancestors and it said they were treated no better than the African slaves during their "time in service" including,but not limited to,being beaten,starved and,literally,worked to death by the people they were contracted to work for for a set amount of years. These people included the Roma/Romani(also called Gypsies,actually from places in India originally)and the Travellers of Ireland and Scotland(I think,not for sure about that).

There diet I believe it was they where fed nothing but lobster because it was a cheap available plentiful food source but this and nothing else it caused all kinds of problems with there health I can’t remember it I’m full detail maybe look it up yourself but laws where introduced saying indentured servants had too have a balanced diet or something too that affect because of the amount that died.

      Black slaves actually treated white slaves like crap because they knew they were expensive/valuable unlike the white slaves..there's stories of that going back to like the 1500s or early 1600s in Haiti and other West Indian places...

      Enslaved Africans and their descendants were also beaten, raped, and mutilated.
      In swampy areas, their children were literally used as "alligator bait."

    What I think is truly disgusting is the women that help the pimps. I don't understand any of that. I expect men to do this, but women! Women are supposed to care and protect, men do not. These women don't seem to have that ability.

    • @missolesoul
      @missolesoul ปีที่แล้ว

      Even now there are what are called "the bottom bitch" who is the right arm and closest to the pimp. They have been used and abused for so long that helping anyone besides the pimp and themselves means little to nothing, being a female is nothing but a dollar sign to them too. Many pimp their own daughters. It has always been. Look at the people helping catch slaves.

    Let’s be factual, laws were and are enacted by repressive conservative governments, then & now, for the protection of property by the property owning class and were and are indifferent to the trials & tribulations of the other 95% of the population. This situation is assisted by the working class tory voter every time.

    It sounds as though Jewish women were particularly targeted. I expect they were mainly Ashkenazi, given where they lived. Antisemitism no doubt made them easy targets.

    • @dshe8637
      @dshe8637 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was because the Jewish men were at the time the recent immigrants.
      London saw different phases of prostitution related to different ethnicities - Chinese (Soho), Jewish, Caribbean, etc. When you're new to a country, it's a common way to some earn money and get established, sadly.

    16:21 I’ve been hard on the pimps, as anyone ought to be, but let’s be honest, those girls can run. They do return, and I have seen it with my own eyes, they love and adore their Lord and Master. It’s is a reciprocal relationship, low, and abusive, but willing and obviously enterprising and I’ll even give to a certain extent honest. I mean sooner or later the money is exchanged and the dress drops, or whatever happens…
    Can’t get more honest than that, that’s for sure!
    I’m sitting here wondering, if you here is a way where out of purity’s sake, or for the reason of which isn’t quite clear to me just yet, where both parties still meet for what they came for, except now, the John gives his money to charity ( in her name) and she does drop her dress, but behind a screen ( to get screened perhaps), and each still wants what they wanted, but they do this once in while, for another reason…
    Out of Love.
    I tell you ,such people deserve their forgiveness .

    4:12 Yo’ I been homeless, for more than a minute. So I been around. I seen a lot different low people, down and out, those are places where one is apt to witness a pimp without too much trouble. They ain’t interested In men with nothing, so one doesn’t get harassed. When I was younger and fresh, I was . Women ain’t the only ones. Never had a pimp. Of all class of criminal, I like them the least, which to say, not at all.lower than low, and God just says, “ I never heard of you, be gone!” This is a mercy, because if He let on He knew… there aren’t enough demons In The universe for the punishment by torment by them , those demons, upon these loathsome pimps, these who sells their sisters for a dollar, or a pound or a ruble.
    No their punishment is , an eternity in the outer darkness; ALONE, cold and hungry, with only their memory to keep them company. We don’t like it we hate it we men.

    Anyone who believes that the law isn't meant to protect the wealthy, ought to have learnt by now.
    The question asked at the end regarding laws to protect against poaching, while no laws are to protect the 'daughters of the poor', the answer is straightforward:
    In the case of poaching, the law is to protect the rich against losing his game - and in the case of the unprotected proletarian girls, it is the same.
