Southampton were all over United for the first 30 minutes and but for Cameron Archer's ridiculous attempt to score a penalty, United would've been looking at a draw at best and probably would've been looking for a new manager as well! This must be about the 20th time in the past two weeks that somebody on here has made reference to Rashford not being that bad against Liverpool but Samuel only gave him 4/10 in the ratings for that game, which suggest he was pretty poor! Rashford did next to nothing for the first 30 minutes on Saturday, then scored a good goal and had a pretty good 40 minutes before being subbed but let's not go OTT about how great a performance it was or how significant a display it was. Given that people add a point to the ratings when the player in question scores, the fact everyone gave Rashford 6 or 7/10(the latter in Samuel's case) should tell you this wasn't a stunning performance that proves he's ready to put 18 months of terrible displays behind him and have a great season. Sadly, United won't be playing teams as bad as relegation certs Southampton every week! This was by no means a turning point in the careers of Ten Hag and Rashford. Ten Hag is still a poor manager who won't last beyond 2024 and Rashford is still a terrible Premier League player who won't be at United beyond 2025! BTW - I had to laugh when you suggested Garnacho and Rashford are playing for one place, therefore suggesting that Rashford might get dropped. Ten Hag has watched Rashford play badly in about 100 of the 118 United games he's been in charge of, yet still starts him whenever he's available, still talks about him like he's a world-class superstar and still calls him an important player. Surely you've realised by now that Ten Hag loves Rashford and will never drop him for footballing reasons!
