The host of this show needs to buy a new microphone. It's too quiet and he sounds like he's sitting in a basement.
40:21 "Rashford has been very good for a long time". What? 😃 There weren't many periods between his debut season and the start of his nightmare run in March 2023 where you would've been right to say "Marcus Rashford is a very good player". Even in the season where he scored 30 goals(17 in 35 in the league) he wasn't great for the whole season if we're talking about his performance levels, in fact he was below average or worse for all but the two months that followed the World Cup!
Merry Christmas to you both too 😊
Amorim should bring back Casemero to play alongside Ugarte in double pivot that worked well under ruud. Its also clear that we are weaker on set pieces without him. With De Ligt Maguire and Casemero in the line up I think we will be stronger defending set pieces.
We're not finishing in the top half of the table if we don't sign a couple of players in January. Man, it's gonna be a long season smh
Agree Rashford has to go now. I am sad that yet another academy graduate will leave our club.
31:26 What did Rashford do in the first four months of Ten Hag's reign? People often say that Rashford was great in Ten Hag's first season but, although his scoring record looked good at the end of that campaign, in terms of performances, he was poor before the World Cup, good for the two months that followed the World Cup(mostly in cup games) and then terrible for the last few months of that season. I'm sure Samuel's ratings at the time would've reflected this, as he usually gives pretty accurate ratings.
24:11 I'm glad Samuel interjected there because he usually just bites his lip when Steven ridiculously claims Rashford is any good. The only teams Rashford has scored against this season are Southampton, Ipswich, Barnsley, Porto and Everton but I think performances matter more than goal stats and I would say the fact he's failed to score in 27 of his last 32 games isn't as significant as the fact that he's been terrible this season, was terrible last season, poor or worse for all but two months of the season before that and had many more average-poor games than decent-good games in the five years before that. Christmas has come early with news that Rashford seemingly wants to leave United but I won't let myself get too excited until I see him in another team's shirt! I had to laugh when Rashford's spin doctor Henry Winter said something like "Rashford's still got seven great years ahead of him". Given that he's been poor for the vast majority of the last seven years and particularly terrible for about two years and counting, I doubt he's even got it in him to look good in The Middle East!
No issue with reporting Rashford and Garnacho were training Sunday morning, but self indulgence leaking the team the night before. Pathetic. No surprise however.
Ridiculous journalist with questionable integrity for leaking the team news. Granted he is not a Utd fan, but does he not think his actions takes anything away from having a fair game of professional football? Now I understand why this channel is struggling with views. Unsubscribing immediately.
Just started watching this channel a few weeks ago thinking Samuel was quite misunderstood. Proved me wrong. Self serving piece off work. Clearly doesn't care about Man utd. Unsubscribing immediately.
Samuel even if you got the ‘team news’ did you consider not putting up online as it would harm United chances?
Utd turned down £60m from Real Madrid in 2020 for Pogba. Holding out for £100m they ended up with unhappy player staying 3 more years leaving for free. Get rid of Rashford
Sam u will be banned from united
I'm afraid it dilutes his criticism of players if he is 'proud' of having a knack for obtaining leaked team news. Not on!
Great content but the visuals and audio is 2010's
It will take Onana time to overcome those errors..this is what happened last year ..I think he'll drop another clanger on Sunday. In my opinion it's wise to start another keeper
The recent errors from Onana are worrying. But also the mistakes he is making that have not been punished yet like rushing from his line & getting no-where near the ball.
Get rid. Poor at crosses for me and is prone to making too many mistakes.. Not fooled by recent good form.
The six months delay Joel Glazer forced on the takeover, to screw the last few millions out of the deal, continues to hamper Utd’s reemergence. Braillesford is as hopeless as Woodward yet he was the only one around when It was obvious Ten Hag was not up to the task , the two week review in the summer should have been a warning. Hopefully the football men can keep Ineos at arms length for a while now.
Best quote i heard over the weekend was i think from Alex Crook who said -stick a circus tent over old trafford, clowns like ratcliffe are running the club 😂😂😂
Ineos isn't very good at running sports organisations
21:06 What did Rashford do in the first four months of Ten Hag's reign? People often say that Rashford was great in Ten Hag's first season but, although his scoring record looked good at the end of that campaign, in terms of performances, he was poor before the World Cup, good for the two months that followed the World Cup(mostly in cup games) and then terrible for the last few months of that season. I don't think you can say he's had a good start to Amorim's reign just yet! He was poor at Ipswich and didn't do anything after coming off the bench against Bodo/Glimt before yesterday's 7/10 display(Samuel's rating) against a terrible Everton side.
Need to stop Gabriel from set pieces(Maguire) and stop supply to Odegaard(Ugarte). Put Mazraoui on Saka side. Onana De Ligt Maguire Shaw Dalot Casemiro Ugarte Mazraoui Garnacho Fernandes Hojlund
Old manager with bad team performance, blame the manager. New manager with bad team performance, blame the players. 🤔
Good start for Reuben 🫡
samuel the knobbhead, giving it 2 months before he starts writing articles on amorim out lol
It's crazy this podcast doesn't have more subs and attention. Without doubt, it's one of the best Utd related podcasts out there. Keep up the good work Steven and Samuel. Great chemistry and chats btw!
8:45 You say that but what did Rashford do in the first four months of Ten Hag's reign? People often say that Rashford was great in Ten Hag's first season but, in truth, he was poor before the World Cup, good for the two months that followed the World Cup(mostly in cup games) and then terrible for the last few months of that season and has probably been even worse in all but a few games since! Amorim will only have a chance of being successful if, unlike his predecessors, he picks players on merit and doesn't let players who have been terrible for months and months remain certain-starters.
There's no way Garnacho is starting as one of the tens.. It will be Bruno with wither Amad or Mount.. Preferably Amad
INEOS will target free agents(A.Davies, A.Gomes, J.David, Tah), future stars they can mould( Rigg, Nypan, Mustananoo) & players with low release clauses or contract expiring in one year
Lazy journalism to say that Zirkzee was a Ten Hag signing purely because he is Dutch. David Ornstein categorically stated that he was a club signing. Then confirmed by Ashworth.
The lack of an unveiling i suspect is because he is still waiting on a visa to work??? These two are getting their nickers in a twist😊
Amorim seems like a nice man, likable, but i don't like his football. Manchester United fans have been complaining about a lack of pattern under ETH, which was a correct observation. I don't see a pattern with Sporting, i see a competitive and hard working team but they didn't play attractive football. They bypassed the midfield, the defenders are just trying to get the ball to the forwards as quickly as possible. Against City, PSV and Arsenal they couldn't play out from the back. So, if Manchester United fans are expecting to see an attractive possession style of football, they're going to be disappointed.
Where is Sam?
He's probably had enough of Steven saying the ever-terrible Rashford played well every week and is waiting for Amorim to drop him before he does another pod! Hopefully, we'll hear from Samuel again after the match at Ipswich!
Funny when people expose just how little they actually know. In Sporting's last match, a pretty high profile 1 against Man city, both the starting RWB & right inside 10, were both left footers.
Great to finally get a win in Europe after the utter insult to our heritage under the previous manager who should have gone after Galatasaray. Excited but still only cautiously optimistic for Amorim. Nobody is under any illusions.
So many rubbish opinions and then you’ve got Luckhurst who is such a windbag
Why waste Amad as a wingback when he has the technical ability and intelligence Garnacho can only dream off. Surely Garnacho as a wingback as running is his best asset.
Garnacho was abysmal, he lacks football intelligence, his decision making is so so poor, he shoots on sight, so bound to score now and again .. Amorim will have seen that and will not start him when he takes charge.
37:11 It's worth reiterating just how badly Woodward handled the appointment of Mourinho's successor. You may remember that the word going about the media was that Woodward had decided to wait until the end of the season before deciding whether or not to give Ole the job full-time and, for once, he was getting praise for apparently making a good decision. Then, to the surprise of just about everyone, Woodward saw United lose two games in a row and suddenly announced he wasn't going to wait any longer and made the decision to give the job to Ole on a permanent basis! United's record for the rest of that season was W2 D2 L6 and United finished in 6th after a last day home defeat to Cardiff!
32:10 "Rashford played out of his skin in Ten Hag's first season" I may have written this before on here but the much-repeated claim that Rashford played brilliantly in 2022-23 just isn't true! Yes, his scoring record looked good at the end of that season but in terms of performances, he was poor in almost every match before The World Cup, then was good for the majority of the next two months(mostly in cup games) and then was terrible for the last few months of that season. I'm sure Samuel's ratings from that time will reflect this, if you want to look back!
Samuel was definitely fully erect during this podcast. Couldn't wait to stick the boot in on Ten Haag.
Luckhurst, the lies😂😂😂
United win and shock no luckhurst 😅
😂
Ineos are waiting for Wolves to sack O’Neil.
"Ten Hag's watch" not the DOF Murtogh?!
Luckhurst: "Reguilon was so meek he cried at halftime". What's wrong with you Luckhurst? Be a better, kinder human.
Agree 100% with lockhurst
One min ago, zero views. Does that mean I'm first?
For a supposedly professional outfit, the amateurish nature of this production is laughable. You can’t hear the main presenter at all. Speak up man!! And what to say about Luckhurst…a whiny privileged virtue signalling mouse. David Meek must be spinning in his grave.
Fabricated news to generate clicks. Surely number one rule of journalism is not to assume thing....shameful behaviour
May I ask? Where is Railston from? I can't tell from his accent. Sometimes he sounds a bit Geordie, doesn't he?
