I saw a great quote recently "I can do anything but I can't do everything" and that made me stop and rethink about my life and the expectations that I was putting on myself. And that was BEFORE all this craziness with the pandemic hit. Now I'm working from home and giving myself grace. Give yourself the grace you would give another. 💕

Having an organizer work with me makes it easier to unload crap! I have had my coat closet packed with coats I didn’t wear. Ten years!!! Why you ask? My lovely husband gets his feelings hurt if I get rid of stuff he bought for me. HOWEVER, he doesn’t notice if I get rid of my stuff. But the guilt factor was high, with organizer, I loaded up two huge boxes of coats! Voila! Now I can put coats I do wear away!
You are not a disaster…you are human. And your honesty and vulnerability is beautiful. Thank you helping a lot of us feel like someone out there in TH-cam lands understands us.
Aww Cas - I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now. This IS very hard. Much as I hate your struggling, I love the fact that you are REAL with us. I’ve followed you for a long time, and I’m so glad that’s not something that’s changed. You share with us - you don’t go in for this ‘“I’m perfect - look at me being ridiculously permanently perfect’ stuff and we love you for that. Just be kind to yourself - remind yourself of all the amazing things you’ve been doing and are doing now. Take each day, each hour as it comes. Breathe. Grab all the time with your family that you can, and we will all get through this together ❤️💖💜🌈🙏cxc

Watching this nearly 3 years later and remembering this was the time in my life when I was talking via Zoom with a state representative and then realized my 18 month old was dancing on the dining room table behind me and was completely visible in the call. Good times, top notch parenting 😂

Yes each of us are having to learn how to be ok with the current situation. The new normal isn't one I would want to keep that is for sure! I miss my routines too.😭 (totally feel you with the laundry and sticky floors😢)
First of all, Cas, you look STUNNING! Secondly, despite all this mess and this weird situation we´re all in, you´re still postitive and still standing and still smiling... so that alone is an achievement of its own! Also, I think it´s so cool that you are such a cheerleader to everybody (you could really see it in this and the other makeover video)... but please, don´t overdo it, because you´ll burn out if you give each and every one that much of your energy... please replenish some of your own energy and be kind to yourself! you´re really truly doing great during this time!!! also, multitasking is HARD! Lastly, please take all the time you need and if you don´t get to upload on youtube, that´s okay too... we´re still here, when you come back... your health is the most important thing here, and I´m sure all of your other subscribers agree with that and wish you the best... and hey, it´s TH-cam... we can re-watch plenty of your other videos as well!!! Me & my friend stole a phrase from her daughter when she was a teenager. "Mom... you don't understand...... I'm going through something!"
We've used it so many times over the years with so many different inflections. "Oh, baby. You must be going through something." "I'm just GOING through something!!" Just say it like you mean it, with force or understanding, or tears.... whatever it takes. It becomes like a favorite curse word letting the stress out. At some point, everybody is going through something. Be understanding of them & yourself. This, too, shall pass.

Life is really tough for us all at the minute when you are trying to keep all the plates spinning. Don’t be too hard on yourself, you can only do so much in a day, both physically and mentally. You are not a teacher, so just have a go and do the best you can home schooling and that’s good enough, your kids will catch up whenever they are back in school. Feed your kids whatever you can, they will love having French fries and eating them is not going to harm them in the short term. Your home can wait to be cleaned, let’s face it with everyone at home if you tidied and cleaned it today it would just need done again tomorrow, so you’re actually saving time by doing it less frequently. I love how open and honest you are, I would love to have you as a friend. Hang in there - you are doing great! 😊

And crying when someone else is crying is not weakness, it's empathy. It shows the love you have to give and is a wonderful way to share an experience with another person. I'm sure the families with whom you are working are so grateful for your assistance and care. That laundry room "after" looks amazing and it looks like you were attentive to what would work well for the client.

Loved the end result. Congrats on all your successes. Remember during this crazy (and busy) time to show yourself some grace. We are so quick to pass harsh judgement and criticism upon ourselves. You are only one person; even though you are fabulous, at the end of the day you are still only one person. Remember there are others in your circle and you are allowed to ask them for help.

Cass thank you for your honestly, it’s so refreshing. I have friends learning different languages and writing novels....while I’m struggling to work from home, keep the dishes clean and not cry every day. I have rewatched some of tour old videos when I need motivation to rework an area of my home. Your true audience will be here when things settled down.

First of all thank you for the decluttering motivation during confinement, it's so helpful, particularly during this time of just looking at my walls just needing to change everything!! So i've been rewatching a bunch of your stuff and making lists to get to attacking like... tonight!?! haha
And now, again, more seriously, thank you, this time for everything else. Thank you for being a relatable hot mess. As we're all struggling in our own ways, it's heart breaking to see you this drained but also "good" because to me it puts it all into perspective. I don't have it all together, but if you don't have it all together either, there's a chance I can make it work! You've always been an open book about your "flaws" and things that work "meh" at your home, and it's always made a big difference for me. I love the little tidbits at the end :) The fun ones and the raw ones!
I'm sure your kids are understanding of what is going on, and not only that, probably very proud. If they don't realize it fully now, they will in a few years. What you do is very precious and a definite labour of love

That laundry room is crazy beautiful!! Now that everything is together it will be easier to stop repurchasing things that she already has and it will create more space so those cabinets don’t overflow again. Being a mom is hard work and sometimes you just need a hand. She did a great job decluttering!!!
