    I haven't forgotten. I doubt most have.

Great discussion and commentary. I do think music has been commodified - for better or worse.
I suspect that a lot of the more complex, subtle and ‘slow burn’ music doesn’t get a look in anymore. A pity, as often only dedicated and conscious listening can provide the insight into this music.

Thank you TJR for reading my comments.
I miss Tower Record huge store here on South Street in Philadelphia & Nathan Muchnick's Audio , who had a variety of CDs back in the day. Today i peruse CDs on Amazon.
I just received a package containing RINGO (1973) remastered. I opened it with anticipation. I checked out the booklet before just sitting back an "listening" to the whole album.
Your video influenced me to do that. The ritual has changed a bit. But it still exists.

The biggest problem with the younger music listeners, is they don't respect the album format, like we did. But, I do see this changing. They are interested in some female pop artist's albums, like Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. And some others. Taylor Swift is especially creating big interest with younger listeners for full albums. And that gives me hope for the future of music. I'd say that Taylor's fans are becoming as dedicated to Taylor, and all of her music, not just her singles, as we were/ are for The Beatles. They know every Taylor Swift song, and even looking for "clues", just like with Beatles fans.

I remember thinking that Mtv was the death of music but at least people were engaged with the music on some level. Last week I was at a record store and I asked the guy behind the counter who the artist was that we were listening to. His response was "Spotify". Things have definitely changed.

@@TJRtheOriginal On a more positive note, I do see more and more younger people buying vinyl and CDs. 🙂

And so very true Music is and has been devalued, file sharing was the beginning once people could get something for free that was the beginning, if they could get Pepsi free from the faucet WHY go to the store and get it. Streaming kind of helped artists but lets not fool ourselves, and indie artist getting 10,000 streams can basically buy a coffee
