This is probably my pick for best arcade cart so far, though it's not up there with my favorite original carts like Piko 1, Renovation, Oliver Twins, Codemasters, and Indie Heroes...
Picked this cart up recently and along with the first Gaelco Arcade collection it's probably my favourite so far out of the 8 carts I own. Every game is at least enjoyable, and I can't say that for many of the carts! Most have a few amazing games and some absolute garbage, this is 100% decent.
Lol I noticed that issue with E.D.F as well. Definitely my favorite of the two arcade releases this is. Loved Rod land and saint dragon on Amiga back in the day. So having the arcade versions was awesome. Rod land and 64th street are definitely my faves on this collection. Best side scrolling beat em up on Evercade so far IMO. I definitely agree. It's so annoying when some arcade games like send you back a little bit. It kinda hinders the game a little bit. The save States States and infinite credits definitely help out though. Overall I'm loving this collection. I'd say its currently the best arcade collection on the system. Followed very close Gaelco arcade 1.
Great video as always and an awesome cart to boot :-) Lovin' this collection and for me, this is what the Evercade VS is all about. Keep up the fantastic work!
This and the Gaelco 2 carts are easily the best or the arcade series so far imo. Also one thing that stands out about them both, the vast majority of the games on both carts have brilliant soundtracks
I've noticed argos has now removed a couple of the arcade carts including this and the price is 20 quid on amazon plus delivery. These latest arcade carts are proving popular.
I think this has a Larger amount of Great games than usual for a Cart?! Im not sure it is the BEST Cart yet though? 🤔. I think it is possibly beatable for that position! What with the rest of the Micro Carts, and others waiting in the wings. Yet to be revealed! 🙂
So many amazing games on this system. I was just saying to David Murray (better known as The 8BitGuy) that he should try to put his games on the Evercade for safe keeping. The David Murray Retro Collection 1, yeah take my money!
Wonder if Blaze have sent him an Evercade? His channel subs and views are insane for the subject matter. Who would've thought so many watching this type of stuff.
@@CrazyBurger Everyone who was a teenager in the naughties, or a kid in the 80s loves this stuff. I think it will gain more popularity now that TH-cam people are basically mini-celebs!
@@CrazyBurger It's a good change though. Previously celebrity meant connections to wealthy moguls. Now it means that or you have some talent people enjoy seeing :) These AI programs will make it even better, now any old Joe sat on his arse at home can basically use AI to become equally as entertaining and as profitable as lazy arse A-listers with no talents :D Lol. _edit_ As I read that back, in my head I heard the trumpetguy saying "Ya no talent!" and bowed in respect to him. What a loony, but I love that dude.
I think this Cart is a Must have for the system. Gaelco 1 was also a must have Gaelco 2 is on the edge of must have, as its very good but i think the first one had some better stuff.
Yeah agree, Gaelco 1 was better. 6 great gems. No.2 is good but not quite there. I'm enjoying Jaleco 1 a lot. Playing 64th Street and Rodland.. thank feck for all those virtual coins!
Can't wait to get this and Gaelco 2. Unfortunately I (finally) dropped my handheld and broke the screen Friday. I have neurological damage due to spurs in my neck that stab into the point where all your nerves come together before entering the brain. So I live in constant pain, and some days I can barely maintain a decent grip on anything with my left hand. It especially sucks because I'm predominately left-handed! Making coffee in the morning is always a crap shoot. LOL. Anyway, I have a backup handheld, but the color is off. It's like the tint is turned all the way to the blue side of the scale. I was already planning on getting the EXP, but now it looks like I'm in the market for another original Evercade as well. Definitely wasn't in the budget. I wish there was some way to buy just the Evercade without having to get duplicate cartridges in a bundle. Do you think we'll see a significant price drop on the original once the EXP is released? Great vid as always!
Thanks mate, really sorry to hear that. And yeah agree it would be good to buy just the handheld. Ebay is your best bet. The purple one did sell on its own.. but that was only a few thousand units. I think it might be a while before exp comes down in price. Need to get a rubber case for it! Sadly they don't exist!
@@CrazyBurger I have a case for it. It was while playing Tower of Doom that I dropped it. I missed out on the purple. I really like the white and red anyway. I was disappointed to find that the EXP has no red trim. I checked eBay. People are selling used bundles for what you pay for new ones. :(

I just wonder if they might cut the price on the remaining stock of 1st gen Evercades. Probably not, huh? Knowing it's going out of production would likely get the collectors to pay whatever for any remaining units. LOL. Yeah, I expect eBay will be even worse then. Sigh.

Ah that's a shame 😕, I think they're pretty good. Personally I prefer the console or computer carts. Arcade can be too difficult. Still some gems here though.

Brilliant cartridge, I really enjoy Avenging Spirit , reminds me a bit of Metal Slug.

Argos even have some at 14.99! Amazon prices are all over the place. Anything not 17.99, ie over.. might be a private seller
