Thank you. Love this recording. This is the performance, at 10 years old, where I think we should drop the "for her age" qualifier when praising her performances. From 10 years onward, she has earned full professional status.
Ella was recently rated #1 out of the Top 50 Jazz Singers of All Time and this was one of her gems, professionally done. This girl is 10, and in a casual outdoor - rooftop setting actually presents the most perfect rendition of the song I have ever heard.
Thanks for your great reaction to this amazing performance by the BAREFOOT ANGEL. This performance by Angelina must be considered a masterpiece; here Angelina is saying goodbye to Oslo before she flew to the City of the Angeles (Los Angeles) because this city needed an archangel among its people from more than hundred countries around the world.
This is by far the best rendition, imo, of this 1944 Cole Porter classic, at 10 years old! Used to hear it as a kid and liked it then and since AJ revived it I've listened to several others renditions and they don't compare. I used to spend the summers with my grandparents and it was always a sob fest when I had to say goodbye.
Exquisite rendition. The first time I heard this was in the late 40s sitting with my family in front of the radio Console, in the living room. Even in the 50s this was played on the radio often. You gave her such a nice review. Glad I’m part of your family. 🌺
This is one of her crowning performances, simply stunningly magical. A 10 year old should not be able to sing at that level of emotion, performing and vocal artistry , but for Angelina, she just destroys all natural norms of what can be possible.
if i could choose the last few minutes of my being in this reality ,,,,,,,i wanna see this video ,listening to this song ,,,,,,,,,and than i could peacefully go,,,,,with a smile,,,,,
Angelina is a master of timing. Some people think she sings too slow. I think that she makes every word count and paces her songs so we can absorb the most emotion from them.
Too slow for what? That is nonsense. As an artist, Angelina decides whatever she feels is best for each piece that she sings. Her decisions are very sound. This was beautiful beyond words. I was not particularly in a hurry. Great listen and a great reaction.
Great comments and reaction HXC. This is one of my favorite Angelina renditions of a wonderful song, can only be sung Angelina style with the smiles, gorgeous voice and emotion that she puts into every thing she sings. Glad you did this one, my Angelina fix for the day.
Angelina touched my heart almost a year and a half ago, I am a grandpa to 10, I know how I feel about this special angel. All I do is listen to her every day. Great reaction as usual HC, thumbs up sir.
One more from my topp favorit list. On her way to the US Angelina did a hasty visit to the live summer TV show to give us this. No traveling fever for this 10 year old.
I confess. My favorite Angelina song is whatever I happen to be listening to. However, this one and “Something’s Got A Hold On Me” always seem to be at the top.

This is one of my favourites from Angelina but it’s sad for her as she was saying goodbye 👋 to Norway 🇳🇴 to go to the States it must have really been so hard for her leaving her friends and some family and Norway behind it can’t have been an easy discussion but I know next year that’s were she starting her concerts she had to cancel this year for obvious reason I bet she can’t wait to go back home She was on Instagram yesterday having her COVID Jab she said she felt a little nervous but she did good That’s what I love ❤️ about Angelina she lets us into her private life she’s so special and I just adore her so much Lots of Love 💕 to you and your family take care and please stay safe from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👼👸🏻👸🏻🦶🦶👍🥰🥰🥰🥰👋😘
Angelina is about to go on a long trip to the USA (was explained in the intro), her family crew were going along, so here the goodbye is to Oslo. After this trip she wrote the song Oslo, have you reacted to that yet? Now of course she can't just jump on a plane and visit Norway, all her concerts have been cancelled for this year. I'm sure that she really misses Oslo, let's hope that she can return in 2022 and put on all her summer concerts there.
Cole Porter wrote this song in 1944 when there were still a lot of sad "Goodbyes" happening. Ella Fitzgerald made it famous in 1956. Angelina brings it back for us in this adorable, exquisite, cover.
This one was recorded on the rooftop of the TV Station a few hours before she left Norway off to Los Angeles .. this particular version is the finest I've ever heard of this song .. At age 10 she is on a masterclass level .. no doubt about that .. this was and is beyond any expectation you could ever have ..
She never will let you down, she brings emotion to every song, Sad, Happy or In Different! She is the best! Check out Something's Got a Hold of Me, she'll bring you to church! God Bless!
I am a long time fan of Angelina, and I think this is one of her most remarkable performances. It’s a difficult song to sing, and ten year old Angelina does absolute justice to Cole Porter. And this can be held up with the most famous version, by Ella Fitzgerald. The maturity of Angelina’s phrasing and delivery is insane. I’ve felt for several years that Angelina is the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard. Here, she re-creates and transports us back to an era of classic ballads, sophisticated lyrics, and beautiful vocals. Gorgeous performance.
One of the best covers of this iconic song ever done...nice? You are right that she will get better when she gets older, she was 12 here, have you heard her at 15, absolutely world class.
@@frankjohansen9364, a senior moment I guess, I know quite well she was 10, thanks for the correction.... this is what happens when I press send before checking what I’ve done.
I don't recall if you reacted to it yet, but if you are longing for your grandfather, you would love her original, A million Miles, dedicated to all of those who have lost a loved one.
Omg you haven't reacted to Angie singing at Alan Walker's homecoming there is 2 songs she did at this concert. Sing me to sleep and faded, she is 10 years at a big concert. For me its one of my favorits. Please do a reaction to it.
From the rooftop and under a perfect blue sky, Angelina reminds us unforgettably of the pain that stings our hearts each and every one moment of separation with our beloved ones. And she sings it with so much grace and tenderness that, in the end, we forget that well known pain, compared to a slow death, and choose to enjoy the charming faint smile of the adorable messanger.
I have to admit when I first listened to it, I did not enjoy it. Maybe I was in a hurry. But the more I listened to it, the more it has grown on me. Now I really love it. so nostalgic.
Sorry, but this one is just extremely good. Extremely good is the the worst category she can offer. Otherwise there are only unbelievable songs and out of this world moments. :- ]
The only thing I know she has not sung is rap and opera. There's a song with EDM even on YT "TRXD Above The Water (feat. Angelina Jordan) - which is crazy to think that she's actually singing.
I am so sorry. In the excitement of the moment, I forgot to salute the brave soldier in you. Through the constant risk of loosing your life each time you were on the field of combat, you chose to defend our freedom and liberty. The expression of our profund gratefulness would never find its way to the proper and appropriate words to use, except, maybe, by saying a strongly felt thank you, sir!
I really don't understand this adversarial stance against reactors that the entertainment industry and You Tube have. Common sense would dictate a mutually beneficial approach in which the reactor share in the revenue that any particular video generates. In essence a reactor uses someone else's work to get views on their own channel, that's true enough. But a good reactor doesn't alter that work in any adverse way. Instead he (or she) enhances the original piece of work by adding different kinds of value to them. One added value is that people that would not seek out a particular artists work by them selves because of one reason or another, suddenly may be interested in that artist, purely because they have been exposed to him (or her) by watching a reactor that they like and respect. That kind of exposure must be very valuable for the artist and the record label, and they didn't have to spend any money to get it. Kind of like a company that makes aftermarket parts for cars. Some car models in their original form does not garner much interest among a certain demographic. But they can suddenly get noticed and coveted by that very demographic when they are modified with after market components, made by companies not affiliated with the original maker. That then creates a mutually beneficial situation wherein the car manufacturer adds a new client base and sell more cars, not thru their own efforts, but by the efforts of an outside company. The after market parts producer in turn gets access to all the different markets where that car manufacturer sells their products. And finally, the buyers of these enhanced products all around the world now get to drive the type of cars they find matches their driving style and taste, everyone wins. I have myself found several new artists that I would have never sought out on my own simply by watching different reaction channels, most recently the artist NF. I never used to listen to rap, the genre seemed to be filled with a bunch of braggarts and misogynists with BIG attitudes and stupid lyrics as far as I was concerned. But one day a few months ago I was exposed to NF thru a reactor that I like. And in this artist I found quality's and a attitude that I found very appealing (and the music is banging too, as the younger generation puts it...). So now I'm subscribed to a RAP channel. (I can hardly believe it myself) The ONLY reason I have subscribed to NF:s official channel is because of that reactor. So shouldn't he also be able to profit a little in this situation? Why is that not the standard on You Tube? I don't understand. Other added values that reaction channels can provide an artist is increased appreciation for their singing ability thru the analysis by voice coaches or other artists. Reaction channels further more help keep the fans of various artists exited about them between record drops because they like watching different people react to their favorite artist. Finally I want to mention the comment section on these reaction channels which provide a space for the fans (new and old) to mingle and discuss and share information about the artist. This also helps the artist to get new fans and to keep the old ones by no effort of their own or by their record label. 👍 (I first posted this comment on the Wolf Rock channel, since he is fighting You Tube about this very topic right now...)
