I remember the Jemele Hill and Michael Smith shows very fondly. To the point where my wife and I still put people and situations on the “doing too much countdown.” Still a fan of both today, as well as Bomani Jones.
i still remember laughing my saa off the day Bomani wore that Caucasians shirt. I knew people would be mad, but most that would be too mad to reason with would be the same folks that pretend that the old Cleveland MLB, and Washington NFL team mascots along with making Native chants with Scalping and Tomahawk actions weren't considered slurring those folks. Or folks who called Kap kneeling for racial equality and justice to solely be disrespecting the military, no matter how many times they were given the correct meaning behind his protest. Some simple minded folks did come with foolishness talking in circles, until they were too confused by their own ignorance, or they just got quiet when they realized how foolish their argument was in the face of reality.
Y'all look for the tiniest slivers of racism in the crevices of society and amplify it meanwhile blatantly ignoring the rampant racism problem that is plaguing the black community. Most racist demographic and it isn't close.
There’s still no woman in sports talk that (or is positioned to) tackle big sports topics like Jemele does in journalism whether in her writings, at ESPN and today on platforms. When race was ever a topic, she was unapologetic as she had to be… For one she is a Black woman. Second, it’s what’s she’s good at. Lastly, the only Black woman with the courage and intelligence to tackle the big sports topics.
@NightArbitrage I do bro, but race isn't everything. Bomani always talking about race. I lived around Arabs, Caucasian, African Americans, & Hispanics. So getting out isn't a problem. They all love to drink except Arabs. With Bomani, it never fails.

That is key and should be eye opening. Twitter bots can create a reaction that can get you penalized by your employer. Real F’d up when you think about it.
The difference to me seems to be Bomani has foresight and self awareness about things that might be outrageous, people who end up getting in trouble time and time again think they are bigger than the platform and want to die on a hill.
To keep it 100% honest. I stopped really messing with ESPN when they suspended you. Outside of Bomani, Dan and live sports..... No Bo is gone I really have no reason to watch ESPN outside of games.
