@@mike-uw6wt the bulk of my purchases are at grocery stores where the Gold is 4x vs US Bank is 2x. I put a higher overall value on the Amex points for upgrades.
Currently have the Gold and the Platinum and I plan on keeping them both. I've had the Gold for a few years now and it's a no brainer. The value that I get back in the terms of travel is pretty crazy and I eat out a ton, so 4x back per dollar is pretty great.
Thanks for the update. Just used your link and got approval for the card. Trying to the Hilton 3 card setup this fall. Got 2 of 3. Aspire in June see how it goes. Enjoy the channel so much. Safe travels.
The Gold card has taken a holiday for several months because of the 10x back on the Platinum for groceries and the CSR having the pay yourself back program for dining out and groceries. The CSR has been great to use to have expenses that I can 'erase' later, but I keep running our of UR points. Plus I have a ton of MR points anyways. I will probably turn it back on (Gold card) after April. Use case for MR points, transfer to Singapore to fly around the world on SQ21/22 in business and spend 4-5 days in Singapore (once they open back up)!
Why don’t you ever talk about the Resy deal for Amex Gold? You get 20% of food up to $250 for the first 12 months, effectively eliminating the annual fee in the first year. This made it a no brained for me, but not one talks about it...

Great video. I'm planning getting Amex Gold right after if I'm able to secure a Chase Sapphire Reserve later this year. Right now I recently approved for Chase Flex Card and I already have 8yr Chase Unlimited card. Once I complete my Chase trifecta, my immediately next target is Amex Gold.
I'm military and plan on doing 20 years (13 years left). I save $945 a year on the gold and plat card because the annual fees are waived for military. That is $12,285 over 13 years! On top of this the actual saving I get with points, lounges uber etc. is amazing. I love these cards! I just recently went to brazil but haven't seen any points on my payments yet. How long does this take to show up or do foreign transactions not apply to points?
I have literally been going back and forth about getting this card for a good year now. So after watching this video I decided.... " Why not?" Lol can't wait for my new cad to come and then went mail!
Chase kept refusing me. I haven’t applied for a card in a while at least to my memory. So after that is when I applied for and was approved for this card. I do have 3 other Amex cards
I get that Amex gold does not come with lounge access but are there any hacks or shortcuts you can show us to get access to enjoy lounges? Or any way that Amex can comp us on priority pass for having a gold card? 😅
How do you manage all of these cards? Is there some awesome app that I'm missing out on? It's been a chore staying on top of credits so I don't lose them. And sometimes just deciding which card to pick when reaching into my wallet.
I made a small "cheat sheet" card and put it in my wallet to show which card to use for restaurants, grocery, etc. I just look at it real quick before buying. After a few months I don't really need to look anymore. For monthly credits I just put them in my phone calendar as a repeating reminder each month
Amex don’t seem to have these x3+ offers on anything in the UK! Just x2 for travel purchases (flights, hotels etc.) and x1 for everything else. Not sure if it’s value is really there over other cards in the UK
I now rely more on Uber instead of car rental (pre-pandemic). I had signed up for something with American Express for my gold card that provides car rental insurance for a $20 flat fee per rental. If you know of this, is it primary?

That's why I'm going to try to get the Morgan Stanley Platinum I got the vanilla Platinum last April and I simply can't justify the 695 annual fee and I refuse to fly when the prices are so damn High
Extremely helpful even AFTER I got the AMEX Gold Card. I appreciate you!
Thanks for info Sebastian. Hello everybody! Stay well.
I just got this card a few months back snd is my new fav. 1) I was missing good point value on supermarkets so that this filled that gap. 2) annual fee pays itself off since we door Uber eats and grub hub all the time 3) I got a strong referral for 90k points which is better than anything else Amex offers so this was a no brainer for me
The gold is the dream card for me
Its jsut the redemption for cashback sucks.. thats the only thing stopping me
I’ve got no complaints. Use $1,500 to $2,000 per month on food.
@@mike-uw6wt the bulk of my purchases are at grocery stores where the Gold is 4x vs US Bank is 2x. I put a higher overall value on the Amex points for upgrades.
LMAO the blurred card issuer at 4:30. I wonder what it could be :D
Why would it be blurred?
Uhhh is it Discover?
Thanks DUDE!!! I'm VERY GLAD I saw this before applying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Sebby! Didn't know my AMEX Plat has the fine hotel and resort program, will definitely check it out in future travel!
I’ve used my points 2x in 2021 for Travel. Stayed at Hyatt, Marriott free night & a reduced rate when utilizing correctly
Singapore would be amazing!
Why don’t you ever talk about the Resy deal for Amex Gold? You get 20% of food up to $250 for the first 12 months, effectively eliminating the annual fee in the first year. This made it a no brained for me, but not one talks about it...
I just wish it has lounge access.
Yeah it sucks that it doesn't.
Same bro
facts me too
right!! at least once a year.
I’m 13 and I got a gold card and it is amazing and I have great credit
4:32 who wants to bet on the card network blurred out here?
20 years old with a 745 score and just got approved ! I was honestly shocked
How u get 745
@@shiylon I got a credit card when I was 18/17 can’t remember but it’s been like 2-3 years now. I’ve never had a late payment I made sure to pay the card off before the end of each month and I didn’t use a lot of my credit limit which helps.
Masterful presentation, very comprehensive and helpful!
How do I get the fees waive if I’m military??
@@noemendoza7975 Just call them up after you have been accepted. They will need you to send them a copy of your orders.
I'm not sure how long it takes for international but even here in the states, it can take a month or two to see points.
I'm doing my research to help me make the best decision because this will be my first and last business credit card. This video was helpful. 👏
Appreciate this bro💯
Does shopping at restaurants depot consider as a grocery store for the gold card ?
I want to start traveling lol what’s a good card for that ? Is the gold card good for that ? My Internet is slow so couldn’t finish video
I feel sold out on. "Exclusive" Rose gold and now they had it out like cotton candy. Pretty lame AMEX
How often do they give you the reward points once a week or once a month
Classy new outro

I get that Amex gold does not come with lounge access but are there any hacks or shortcuts you can show us to get access to enjoy lounges? Or any way that Amex can comp us on priority pass for having a gold card? 😅
I hate how they shorted the gold card to give the platinum a fighting chance .
I wonder if the clear credit will apply to additional users the same way TSA precheck does
How do you manage all of these cards?
I just got approved for Amex Gold w/ 601 credit score. I applied 6 months ago with a score of 695 and got denied lol
Haha same
What is a good card for gas?
I’m a college student and I pair the AMEX gold with the Blue Cash Preferred
I just got my card today, when do I have to pay the annual fee
I have the Amex Blue Cash Preferred and considering upgrading to the Gold!
What is the card at the 4:20 with the rose gold and gold.
Amex green
@@jrznovaz which one. I have it. It doesn’t look like that!
It might have been weird lighting :)
I now rely more on Uber instead of car rental (pre-pandemic). I had signed up for something with American Express for my gold card that provides car rental insurance for a $20 flat fee per rental. If you know of this, is it primary?
I just cut up my AMEX gold card up. If you want to do business with a company that puts through illegitimate charges on an expired card, refuses legitimate charges, and is unwilling to fix any sort of issue - then this is your card. Worst customer service experience of any financial institution I have every dealt with. One issue with this card and you will be ready to trade in every point you earned to have never done business with AMEX.
What do you think of the new United card. I think it was released today
I have AMEX Sky Miles card $99 annual. I have it since 2014.. I used it quite a bit for shopping because of mileage. And I travel every 4 to 6 years to my home country. My question is? Should I go with This card? I don't know?
How do you get the $10 credit fro Uber eats and restaurants
I've had the platinum for a while, and just applied for the gold. I'm still trying to dip my toes into the crazy world of credit card hacking, but at least I've got a guide!
Any updates about gold Amex? Is it still worth it?
Is gold still a good idea for non travelers ?
No Hotel is worth 280 dollars per night.
Pretty cool video. I watched to the end and was pleasantly surprised by Beethoven's Sonatina in F Anh. 5 No. 2. I just played it last month and it was enjoyable to hear it so out of place!
Great video!! Now we need one for Amex Plat, and the Chase cards :)
Rose Gold is what got me to applying hahaha
lol
How do I enroll for the dining credit?
Have no use for a charge card but I love Sebby's Channel
can you expand on why the gold card and transferring to domestic flights is complicated? chances are i will be transferring to Delta for domestic and rare international flights
what's that amex turqoise one? is that the new green card?
Is it supposed to be metal?
yes its a metal card
