In season 1 at the brothel outside of Winterfell, Tyrion gave Ros his gold lion necklace which you can see her still wearing it during various scenes. So Cersei or some informant mistook Ros as Tyrion’s “girl” as she wears his necklace.
You can rationalize Cat's actions in various ways that make it seem much less stupid than it initially comes off as. It was the actions of a desperate mother after all. For me her choice was simple, and it came down to the mood of the Stark bannermen, which had reached boiling points by then. If Jaime was left in their hands for another night, they would've killed him. If Jaime died, there was no chance of seeing her daughter (daughters plural in her mind) ever again. A desperate Hail Mary is still better than no chance at all.
Stannis and Davos’s conversation on the ship is one of my favourite scenes!
Arya didn't realise what she had, but you can't blame her. When someone tells you they'll kill people for you, you don't imagine that you can name ANY 3 names, and all 3 will be as good as dead. People gave Arya too much grief for not naming Joffrey, Cersei and Tywin. But as Jaqen says in the book: "A man does not fly like a bird, but one foot moves and then another and one day a man is there, and a king dies." Jaqen would have killed Tywin, but Arya named him after he'd left. Jaqen would have still killed him, but to do it to Arya's schedule would be physically impossible. "Death is certain. The time is not".
Totally agree here. I always interpreted her first kill as a test to see if this guy was the real deal and if she could trust him (which I think is more apparent in the books since we have the benefit of her POV) and the last two were done out of desperation when she got into a bind. Sure, she could have named the enemies that really matter but her situation in Harrenhall is so bleak who knows if she would have made it out alive without Jaquen's help. And as far as she knew at the time, who knows if he could have pulled it off in a way that would have helped her family or change anything for the better. She's only a kid, people are way too hard on her.
I could go with the, "people don't just have a mental list of people they want dead ready to go" excuse, except that Arya *does* have a mental list of people she wants dead ready to go. I think the only reasonable explanation for not naming someone from her list is that she was more concerned about getting to a safe place and didn't want to send one of her very few allies outside the city because she might need his help.

But just because someone tells you they'll kill them, doesn't mean you have to believe them, or believe that they mean anyone, anywhere. When a guy says, "If any guy flirts with my girlfriend, I'll kill them!" What they mean is: "If any guy flirts with my girlfriend, I'll punch them in the face, as long as they're considerably smaller than me and I'm not at all frightened of them"
11:43 Robert never loved Stannis (as he told Ned Stark, before he died), but It's a subject of debate why Robert gave Storm's End to Renly;
Robert was furious because Daenerys and Viserys left before Stannis got to them, and some say he gave Storm's End to Renly for that.
But some say he needed Stannis to hold another castle, more important to the Targaryen.. Stannis had proved to be a strong commander, so he was needed to keep any potential Targaryen loyalist in line, while Robert's rule was still contested. Renly was just a boy, so he couldn't be trusted with this. But Storm's End is the Baratheon's home, so a strong commander wasn't needed there.
In the end we'll never know, but Stannis took it as a slight.
Theon wasn't dumb to take Winterfell. But he was dumb to try and hold it. He should have plundered the castle and then take Bran and Rickon back to Pike as hostages.
Jamie and Brienne are just hilarious together.
Still loving Arya's storyline and glad they seem to have finally escaped! I love her scenes with Jaqen and also Gendry. It seemed maybe he was a wee bit jealous or something there when Arya said she needed him.
I can see Catelyns POV completely. She doesnt care about the throne and all of that, she just wants her kids back. Don't really blame her, shes been without them for a long time and has no idea how they are being treated.
IMO season 2 was a tad slow in parts but had great moments too, but the best is yet to come.

Cersei's thinking when it comes to her children is warped. Tyrion 'sent Myrcella away' to forge an alliance. That's what princesses are for in their world. He wasn't plotting to get Joffrey killed either; Kings, even young Kings, should show leadership. Cersei is not right in the head.

After the sack of Kings Landing and the death of Rhegars children, Robert sent Stannis to capture Dragonstone and kill Rhaella and Viserys and unborn Daenerys who had been shipped to saftey there, however before Stannis got there they escaped towards bravos. Robert was furious. He gave Stannis Dragonstone and Renly Stormsend but however it can also be seen as he needed someone to defend Dragonstone because its a symbol of targaryen power it was Aegon's seat, and in tradition the heir to the throne is lord of dragonstone.
I just love the scenes with Brienne and Jaime.

this is no spoiler. but the show made a retcon. in the first book (of which the first season is based on), the witch made Dany unable to bear children, but they only started to mention from now on, don't know why. but that's why she keeps saying the dragons are the only children she'll ever have. she's the last of her lineage

Robert never liked stannis cause no one does. He’s cold. But honorable atleast he was before red woman. He followed his older brothers orders like a G. And now is the rightful king as Ned said too.

The Greyjoy's plan to take over the north is so stupid that Theon capturing Winterfell made the plan more successful than it should have ever been. Theon should have retreated though, but he was too proud.

Cat is the female version of a man who thinks with the wrong head. Cat is a very smart woman that lets her emotions make her make bad decisions. Do you realize this whole dam war is because Cat decided to kidnap Tyrion?
This seems to be the case with all the starks. In the show, Robb marries out of love, giving up thousands of soldiers. Cat captured Tyrion and released Jaime as you've said. Ned warned Cersei in advance because of he couldn't bear the guilt of her children's deaths. And Ned's brother got himself killed because in his rage he stormed to King's Landing demanding Rhaegar's head.
The whole war started with Jamie pushing Bran but Littlefinger's dagger 🗡 sealed the deal
And who made her believe Tyrion instructed the cutthroat?
@@English_MoFo I agree except that no one wanted anything done about the assassination attempt until she heard about the dagger and she on the spur of the moment kidnapped Tyrion in the bar. The assassination attempt made her forget all about Bran being pushed out the window. So that event was now a non factor. If she arrests him instead of kidnaps him, that might have avoided the war. Kidnapping him almost guaranteed a war. I wanted to say something else but I am not positive if it's a spoiler or not.
Catelyn is smart but she is the dumbest character in the entire series
