Hi there! I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours! The spontaneity makes your work so fresh. I can actually feel the storm coming! Please do more of this kind of free spirited painting. Thank you!
Please continue to explore landscapes. Excellent tutorial. Fresh, loose, joyful and inspiring. Thank you!
You're so relatable! "I'm not going to add anymore, while adding more." I am the same and that is why I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Inspiring. Overthinking is my nemesis. You fretted throughout the challenge; time was the enemy. In the end though, for all the fretting, those simple paintings were quite pleasant to look at. Bravo.
I love how you did the sun in the last painting. That one I struggle with. Thanks, makes more sense now.
Right on . Love DAD. X
I think they are both beautiful! Some of my best landscapes have been quick studies in my sketchbook! I do like how you added water at the end to make the clouds, but I did want to hold your hands and make you stop when you kept fidgeting with the sky!
You definitely "rolled" with it, as you said!!! I'd like to see more landscapes from you Emma!!! Beautiful! Thank you for inspiring us! A California Gramma ♥️
Teşekkürler Emma çok güzel öğreniyorum.Lisan bilmiyorum.Seyretmek bile öğrenmek için yeterli oluyor.Lutfen fırça ve kağıt kalınlıklarıni yazarsan mutlu olacağım.Seni seviyorum Emma,🌹♥️🤗
That was a great lesson today. It encourages me to just get on with it!! And stop fussing so much. Even though the 2nd one started getting fussy but I won't judge! I do the same.
I love the 5 minute challenge Emma, so i will be giving this a try as i am normally too rigid with my work and this should help me to loosen up I hope !!! Thank you for sharing with us xx
Thank you Emma I’ve always wondered the process in which to do a sunset in the distance. You just lift the value out of the center! Yay!
Hi Emma, I loved watching you paint so in the moment and I really appreciate showing us how important it is to just play with painting instead of worrying that it will be perfect. Id love to see you do a challenge where you paint the same painting in 3 different time lines (like 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 30 minutes). It feels like you wanted to do that with your second painting a bit :)
You inspired me to pick up my paint brush!!! And my art turned out great!!! Thank you so so much!!!!!
As always, excellent video! I had to laugh as you talked to yourself on the last one, and allowed yourself to break your own rules! Great warm up exercise and something I can use for my beginner students.
Sooo much to learn from watching you make your "mistakes". Even your blooms worked. I needed that!
You may have defeated the purpose with the sunset picture, but the sky looks cool. Glad I watched.
By far one of my favorite videos! Loved all the technique you showed in so little time!
The stormy bleed looks like a patch that is raining.
Fabulous Emma - night and day! They would make excellent postcards - really nice projects for when you don’t want to do a more involved piece. Thank you 🙏
I agree that this was an excellent exercise and I would love to see more. Thank you!!!
Love love both of these!!! And what you said...sometimes all we need to do is just do something to get put if our minds and paint!
FANTASTIC!!! I loved them both -- and I loved the sunset one at around the 17 minute mark. I'm so intrigued by how you make those trees - so easy, and yet so real looking. Thank you. (I also yell stop at myself ... and then don't).
Hello Enma Jane, I LOVE you work . Thanks so much.
I really liked both of them😊I definitely learned something 🌹
what a great exercise Emma. I love the way they both turned out.
More from those time challenges please. I love it :)
The inner dialogue on this one is my favorite. So relatable.
These are some of my favourite landscapes that you have ever showed us! The Stormy sky is beautiful and simple and the sunset using a bloom is something I would have never thought of but it turned out so pretty!
I love so much yours watercolors. There are fresh and spontanées.Its so good exercices
OMG l love your work. These 5 minute landscapes are PERFECT for travel journaling. I love it so much. ❤❤
Thank you what marvellous paintings. An inspiring challenge.
These turned out fabulous! On the second one did you hear me hollering “Stop!” Well, I’m glad you didn’t, it turned out beautiful! No mistake as you kept going🤗
So pretty, Emma! Would love a updated tour of your palette!
I love them both. You just did two levels of challenge. One 5 minute, and one 10 minute challenge.
Both very nice
I especially liked the sunset, and it looked great at every stage! I can’t wait to try!
This was really inspiring as I never know when to stop. Very helpful thank you.😊
I have a painting on metal like this, and I love these colors!
Very inspiring. Will try it. Thanks so much for sharing
Love these. Especially the first one.
Love both of these Emma. Great idea too, I must challenge myself. Thank you as always 😊
They both turned out beautiful!
Loved this video. THIS I can do. Thanks for sharing!
I was laughing at your internal struggles with stopping. Very entertaining and I liked your pictures
Loved this had to have a go at it..halfway done with the first one..how much fun! Hope you do more like this!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this. I liked how both my paintings turned out with a time restriction!
I’m new to water colors and want to learn so thank you for the video, it was great fun painting along.
That was so much fun Emma, hearing you say 'stop, stop, oh crap was hilarious but it's good to know you struggle too 😂. Please do more of these and thankyou for your constant inspiration ❤️😊
I absolutely love them both!!
This was amazing. Absolutely loved it. 😍😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Okay - this was fun!! I only did the first one and I admit, I went back and added some darker green once it dried (so more than 5 minutes!)........but I really liked it! This is the first tutorial of yours I have done - I have now saved a bunch to my library and will try some more! Great instruction for a newcomer to watercolor painting like me! Thank you, Emma!
Congratulations!! I really like that... I love it 😍
Such a great exercise! I find these very useful!
Very nice Emma, and you don't have to stop when you want to continue!
I think it's a great exercise... but 'challenge' sounds much more exciting. Very nice, thanks.
These are breathtaking!!! I absolutely love these!
Merveilleux ! Fabulous! Thank you
Both beautiful!
You are amazing!! I am just starting to learn watercolor painting. It was fun watching you do this! I’m inspired 🙂
They are both gorgeous!
Both are absolutely beautiful
Thanks so much, this was great, I love how they both turned out.
Awesome 👍
Great video, it was very helpful for me to see you change what you had painted ! Thank you! I’m going to try this now!☘️☘️☘️☘️
Beautiful
That's lovely, Emma! For an intuitive artist like you, 5 minutes is perfect. You get a great, free, dynamic and alive look with the first few strokes.
I love this video! You definitely feel more light and loose , landscapes are so hard and you made it look so easy! Please do more ❤️☺️🥰
Awesome idea!!!
Wow! Those turned out amazing. As always 🌷
Great ideas for birthday cards I need to make
I learned so much from your videos! Thanks
I think you did an amazing job for 5 minutes and it does show how when we keep futzing with it we overwork the watercolors. I think one of the joys of watercolor is letting it do what it’s going to do and see what turns out!
You got me unstuck! Great video n both paintings are awesome
Wonderful landscape challenge. I am a beginner and I seem to be getting worse at mu landscapes. I am really inspired to do this type of challenge. I seem to overwork my paintings and make a mess out of them. I just don't know when to stop when I'm having so much fun. Thanks.
Awesome and very relaxing to watch
OMG Emma, I am totally addicted to your videos. I only am scared to paint myself because I probably will be dissapointed. Anyway thanks for your videos and teaching us!
Very nice, I loved your little flowers at the end, I need to try something like that. I'm working on a simple birch tree forest painting and I am not liking how the forest floor turned out at all. Might experiment with some loose leaves or something, hmmm...
This was great! I’m up for the challenge! Thanks for another helpful, fun tutorial.
Wow I love how quick and do-able these are!
Fabulous! Definitely going to try this. Thank you.
These are so fun! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love them both! I don't love my first attempts but it was so fun. Definitely want to give it another go.
Wow, these are beautiful, cant wait to try.😍
Super! Yes, it looked better with a bit more!
It’s a great exercise, just freeestyling and letting your bush take you places…
Wow…I’ll have to try this. Your sky is really cool 😎
Stunning!!
I love this so much! I want to try this!
Hi Emma, this was great! Please do more!
Emma these are great! They are both really fun. Very inspiring to try it myself!
Thanks I had great fun ,doing this
Emma, I really enjoyed this!!! Thank you - great tutorial! I think they both turned out beautifully!
Both are gorgeous 🤩🤩🤩
Seems like you would be very happy with the 10 minute version instead LOL! Fun video thanks.
Love this challenge Emma!
Lovely as always
Love this tutorial! Your painting’s looked so amazing for just 5 mins. I think the timer will make me nervous but I will try it anyway! ❤️kr
That was soooo helpful! To see/ hear your thought process and exactly how you did it step by step! Thank you!! Can you do some 5 minute flowers😍?
Coming out on Wednesday! (It didn’t turn out as well though lol)
I like it alot
This was so much fun, I had to hit the like and subscribe buttons! Thank you!
