    Nothing controversial here, just a man who knows his trade well and knows there's more than one way to skin a cat. This is my 20th year in the trade and nothing gets me more than lads who can't see that theres more than one way to get the job done. They get stuck in their old ways and are almost afraid to try a different and potentially easier way.
    From one Irish plasterer to a UK one, keep up the good work my man.

    Always a joy watching your videos, as a general builder, I can’t see myself being a plasterer lol. You either have it or you don’t. I don’t! Lol I was just fixing a damaged wall with corner bead today, even that was a struggle. You spread that like butter lol. Keep up with the videos. :)

      @@PlasteringForBeginners I've been a plasterer for 23 years. I know quality when I see it. One of the harder more unpredictable finishes to get. Anyone who says it's easy doesnt do it. My arse has gone a few times on big gable ends. The sun at a certain time will show how the day went. Keep up the videos.

    Thought it was k-rend as well , is that sand and cement you mix or a ready made powder form that comes in the bags like fassa . It’s a Great finish you’ve done fairplay .
    I’ve started to cut down stop beads and stick them on level against the window it’s a massive help and easier to lay on you can run your trowl bead to bead . Good work 👍

    Be careful when rubbing the reveal with the float if the render beads are are galvanized it can damage the galve and they will rust use stainless steel render beads or plastic for fine down finishes , just saying ,good vlog to show beginners well done 👍

    • @PlasteringForBeginners

    Top tips Blaine, cheers. By the way are you using the same trowel for plastering or keep a different set for rendering?

    • @PlasteringForBeginners
      @PlasteringForBeginners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did at the beginning but I use 2 seperate ones now. However I'd recommend you use the same trowel if you have a new one. The render really helps to break trowels in 👍

  • @pickelrick6377

    Very nicely done! Do you remove the tape while it's wet, or leave it on? I'm doing a window and accidentally rendered my tape in place, now it's refusing to come off cleanly

    • @PlasteringForBeginners
      @PlasteringForBeginners  3 ปีที่แล้ว
