Every now and then I love checking out everyone’s killer instinct vids. The game was a huge part of my life as a kid and even more so as an adult. I was a lucky guy because I ended up on the reboot soundtrack back in 2015 on the Herald of Gargos track. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I’d be able to be a part of killer instinct history.

Killer Instinct is the game series where the concept of the "combo" reached its highest point. Killer Instinct is my favorite fighting game series. Playing Killer Instinct on the Xbox One on Xbox Live and seeing how far this series has come is truly amazing!
no it isnt, many of capcom games like the alpha series and the versus games had a big emphasis on custom combos and the games where way more fluid and fast paced than killer instinct, games like guilty gear xx and anime fighters that came after just go crazy on combo territory with combos easily going into the 50 and 100 hits, killer instinct sure was great and miles better than some of its competitors (like mortal kombat that sucks) but its not the best when it comes to combos
Playing this at home on my SNES when I’d do her fireball my dad would be on the side yelling “Beans again!” Hahaha!! Cracked me up every time, memories 😁
I remember this game in the arcades. It was turned WAY up so you could hear the second you walked in - people were lined up 10 deep waiting their turn to take on the winner. For my local arcade (at least when I went), this game was THE big daddy - with NBA Jam in second. When you heard the bass pounding for Orchid's music, it was absolutely mesmerizing.
Even if the volume wasn't turned up quite a bit, as certain operators would turn it down due to complaints, it was designed to be at max volume when someone, or the CPU gets an Ultra Combo.
I'd love to see a fully remastered version of this 1994 classic. Just imagine it with 2021 technology. I mean, I know there's a recent PC version available on Steam but if someone took this and gave it a once over it would be awesome.
