    This was interesting. I’m an American who moved to South Africa and I find that there’s a major drinking culture here. I also don’t drink so I feel your pain.

    Thank you for the great insights Nobue these are some of the things little do people get to know if they don't research and it's good that u come up and help those fellow pips as well. Migration is so much these days and it seems far better for someone coming over who already has employment than going to look for it coz I can imagine the expenses u talk about can be a challenge without that support right?

      Yes. You will generally not be able to get a work visa and move to the UK without a job offer already.

      A course in early childhood education (ECD). From there you can open your own creche /work as a grade R teacher and general care taker for children & tolders. Hope this helps

      @@TholokuhleM I’ve only heard of and know CAs moving here, haven’t heard of anyone with ACCA unfortunately so I would be lying to you. But you can do some research online

    Hi Nobue, I am planning to move to London next year around April. I have an LLB Degree from Wits. Please advise how I could go about getting a training contract and if I need to secure it before I immigrate

      Hi Neo. You do need a training contract before you move. Unfortunately it’s really difficult to get one. I only know Linklaters which offers training contracts to students out of the UK. Other than that it’s nearly impossible I’m afraid

      @@NobueKhumalo thank you so much for your input and great insight. I guess I am going to have to defer my immigration plans until I am admitted as an Attorney. I do not want to disadvantage myself and struggle to secure employment once I have moved to the UK.

      Hi there. Quite low to be honest. Get an LLB , articles and a few years of experience then it’ll get better. All the best!

      Yes you can. But that all depends on your job and income. It’s easier for some more than others
