    I think it's fun for all the members to have the same hair color every once in awhile as a change-up like when Purple Kiss had every member with dark hair for memeM era or when (G)I-DLE were all blonde for Nxde era. I wouldn't want that every era, but I like it as kind of a special thing.

    • @asmasam
      @asmasam ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've always thought the same too 😆 but I want to see it with other colors than just black and blonde, something like purple or red or blue would be so cool

      Also every (G)i-dle member having blonde hair suited the Nxde concept very well. Also I also liked when all Red Velvet members had blonde hair in Ice Cream Cake aswell. But every comeback can be boring, but once in a while can be done well. Especially if it suits the concept like Nxde.

    Yeah i agree with you on #2 its always been a mix of races in kpop. I think its fine as long as the person respects the culture and language

    8:39 Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually would be perfectly fine if a group only came back once a year, if the album quality was way better. Western artists do it all the time. Sometimes they will spend years in between albums, but when they do come back it's with a full album with a specific concept and well more than 10 songs, and they go on tour for the album. I'd much prefer that than a mini album that sees the light of day for a month max. I don't see it happening any time soon, but I wish it were more common. These idols are overworked.

    Yeah i kind of agree not only does releasing sooo many songs a year it not only makes it harder to really appreciate it but also it makes it hard to keep track. Like i cant keep up with stray kids or nct lol

    11:19 I agree with you on that point, I love it when everyone has the same hair, but I also love it when some members have different colored hair because it's fun yet aesthetically pleasing if it fits the member ❤

    Maybe, what he was trying to say is like "Momo" she is the best dancer in twice and one of the best female dancers in kpop, but she still got a lot of hate for not been a good singer, and then look at Itzy, even when at first they got a lot of attention for being extremely good dancers then people start hating on them for their lack of ability in singing.
    I am not saying that they don't deserve been critized but some times people specially on internet are so dramatic and instead of critique it turns to hate and I think he may didn't want that to happen to the new group.

    Europeans complaining about have kpop festivals and thinking they not being included is crazy to me as someone who is from a country that is not even thought about. id be so happy if anyone in the kpop industry were to come to my CONTINENT, music festival or not

  • @rowanjoy419
    @rowanjoy419 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    also, I think is kpop when you debut under a korean company, or you are set in korea, because then your democraphic is Korea, is like if a Korean person debuts in a western company with a western company singing in english and on top of that the aesthetic is western, so it would not be consider kpop anymore.

    I was supposed to see ateez and gidle because they were coming to Poland in 2020 but due to Covid the shows were cancelled and Poland never returned on their radar during their tours, I’m still upset about that especially ateez, I stan them since debut and was hoping after pandemic they will come but they didn’t.
    Now we have kpop festival on national stadium and I’m not going, prices are too high for me to see groups that I do not stan, the only group I listen to regularly and know more than title tracks is gidle, so it’s not worth it. That’s why concerts are better, price is cheaper and you see your faves. Also I think the festival will fail because we had situation in Poland that there was supposed to be kpop festival and it turned out to be a scam, so now people think the actual festival that is happening is also fake.

    • @Avivera

      I thought about going last year since some my faves were performing. But looking at the prices I was like hell no… Since I live in Norway, only the plane ticket and staying at a hotel would cost a fortune.

    For me, I’m well into hair colour changes, so I don’t agree with the last point at all aha.
    BUT I really like it when a comeback hair change as a theme, like how SVT had all ashy / cool shades for Fear or gidle did the skin tone blondes for nxde. It’s part of the charm!!

Never. It`s bland. It`s uncreative. I`m glad I`m not the only one who won`t accept the new name ^^

  • @MoonMontag

    10:38 same with music production. When only one member is producing and writing and the creative backbone of the groups it’s not so good for the groups.
    Like with IKON and B.I (bi and Bobby were the most famous members of the group so it makes sense that their popularity tools a hit when the most popular member left…but what left a gaping hole was that he was the whole creative force of the group.)
    Notice how Idle had not been affected by their loss of Soojin because even though she was one of the most popular members she was not the creative force of IDLE.
    I feel like atp companies should 100% not put their eggs in one basket but maybe promote more than one member.
    Another example is MIA of everglow, well everglow don’t really get promoted or anything 😅 but MIA is definitely pushed as an artist more than the others.

    With the whole "Only Koreans/Asians should be kpop idols" opinion. IMO it's stupid like you said it's more than just Korean people. Kpop rarely incorporates Korean culture. Most of the genres that are used in kpop are from African American culture e.g: RnB, hip hop, pop, reggatron, jazz, etc. So if they want only Koreans and Asians to be in kpop then they should stop using other genres from other cultures.

    • @Mulukan57
      @Mulukan57 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I disagree with this. While I see nothing wrong with foreigners debut in kpop group, I feel like those people abandoning their culture or identity just to be known as Korean-idol aka kpop idol but of course, we don't really know deep inside their heart

    • @Mulukan57
      @Mulukan57 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, establish a kpop group with no actual korean member is so stupid. What's the point? Instead of pretending to be wannabe korean, why not just embracing the member identity? Like one direction have one member from ireland so 1d is british-irish boyband. Akb is japanese idol gg but foreigners akb member will debut in specific group for their identity like hkg for chinese, jkt for indonesian, etc. Exo has chinese members and they indeed officially a korean-chinese group.

    • @Mulukan57
      @Mulukan57 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also, music genre is already shared with hundreds of culture. You can't just restricted some artist to produce specific genre.

    The preserving korean culture reason is so wild to me since kpop is so heavily influenced by non-Korean things.

  • @Actually.mickey
    @Actually.mickey ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I'm so sorry but the second unpopular opinion screams Korean fetishizing. Kpop has became more global over the years. Yes non Korean faces racism but Koreans themselves also do as well. For example. BTS. The amount of racist remarks made by people towards them was horrible.
    Like the video you showed of Blackswan's leader Fatou, kpop is a music genre. Yes for Koreans but as the genre became more popular, many foreigners decided that they want to do just that. If they can audition to a LEGIT Korean company, do the Korean training, sing and speak in Korean fluently, then there should be no problem with foreigners being in kpop. Like I said in the beginning of this comment, this sounds like Korean fetishizing since this person said only Koreans should be in kpop

    If it's only Korean artists then why would intl want to follow them? As for racism....i think the op meant Korea racism against foreigners.
    Am honestly tired of those opinions, all of hybe artists r succeful,saying bts/17 are the best is an opinion.
    I didn't watch but saw in tiktok or yt shorts trainee performances.
    Kpop release albums with 5 tracks....so yeah it's better to cb 2 to 3 times per year if u have only 1 song going viral.
    Yes,I agree with u, he is a vocalist so he has his own opinion, kpop is more visually anyway.
    I really don't agree, I don't like when people start talking about esthetic, kpoppies make a big deal out of concept and image, if the concept is not well received it's a flop era😑 olive kpop because they do have great concept but it's not why I like a group....music was always the reason I like a group more than others.....not because they have strong presence on stage,not because they have rappers,not because the members produce their own music, not because they have the best visuals, and not because they have the best concept....which is lately kpoppies priority.

    I completely disagree about idol having the same hair color for every comeback. Do you know how hard it would be for us to be able to discern who is who when we are trying to learn who the members are? That would be a complete and utter nightmare!
