He could have killed the Mountain a lot quicker. But what Oberyn wanted was a public confession that Tywin gave the order to kill Elia Martell. Without that Oberyn can’t touch Tywin Lannister.
Damnit Oberyn!!! That head crushing scene still haunts me after rewatching this show a million times. 😭 I remember saying "oh no, he punched all of his teeth out of his beautiful face." And then being completely horrified by his head being crushed like a melon. 😂
Poor Tyrion; talk about getting your hopes crushed. Too soon? Now you know why Pedro wears a helmet most of the time in The Mandalorian Notice the squire rubbing a piece of cloth on Oberyn's spear? It was being coated with poison. Remember the conversation between Tywin and Oberyn? Oh Oberyn. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is "never face the Dothraki in an open field," - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against a Clegane when death is on the line!
I get and agree with Daenarys. She doesnt know how long dude hasn't been a spy, and since he didn't come clean to her over the years that he could have said something, how can she truely trust him? We trust him because we like his character and have seen his perspective. Asking her to do that to the man who's indirectly responsible for the deaths of her husband and child is a tall ask.
For you guys : After this trial by combat Mountain dead because Venom on Oberyn Spear. Also in the book Tywin Lannister also poisoned by Oberyn, ITS slow effect poison, that gave him disease like extreme stomatch ache or other diseases. Maybe he put it in Tywin's food during a break on Tyrion's trial. Oberyn's plan was to force Tywin to admit his cruel deeds, then defeat The Mountain, then return to Dorne when he had poisoned Tywin, and prepare to attack CasterlyRock even KingsLandings... Why? Because Oberyn knew the Lannisters were running out of money because the mines were empty, he mentioned it in 4x2 about the disease of the rich, he knew the Lannisters wouldn't have enough money to rent mercenary soldier or so on, and with Tywin's death due to poisoning, their power became weaker, especially since their psychopathic king was replaced by a weak and easily influenced king. So Dorne will win in GOT.
Yo, I was HOT the first time I watched this. First, I was scared for Tyrion and second, I loved Oberyn's character. Pedro Pascal really made an impact in his short time on the show.
that is the one of the grossest deaths in the show to me. I think because the fight is spotlighted. I can't wait to see the rest of this series with you guys. i'm having so much fun watch Taylor react to this, can't wait to see the next one. I could absolutely binge watch these videos. Rewatching RTTV react to this too. lol. Taylor, this show does sometimes feel like the series of unfortunate events.
I have been rewatching "The Wire." It suddenly dawned on me that Peter Baelish is a main character in season three. When I watch GoT I always said he looked familiar from somewhere but could neve place it until now.
He wanted the mountain to confess so it's no more a "Rumor" so he can go back to dorn and wage War against lannister with an actual proof not just a rumor
If you cut a man's penis off but not the balls, he's still gonna feel the same way about women. If you were to cut the balls off as well then he would become uninsterested. That is why Daenerys asked Misandei about what they do to the Unsullied. Maybe Gray Worm is an exeption and he still has balls.
the north may be empty at this point, but the potential to build is huge.the reason most of us struggle today is because of our rent.and even when we posses our homes we pay for being on someone's land
For stupid people think helmet Will save Oberyn (my fav char) ITS not save him at all, in the book only need 1 second for The Mountain take off that helmet and explode oberyn's head.
In the books, Jorah had been spying on Dany until they arrived at Aspator (so beginning of Season 3). Also, Dany wasn't quite as rash.. Banishing him still wasn't THAT smart of a decision, but it wasn't a split second choice like she made in the show... Not that the shows version is bad.... Its just different, and definitely makes Dany more antagonistic.
Dany......is......dumb. Not half as dumb as that awful Sansa. But DUMB. She said herself the pardon was signed the year they met. Meaning Jorah has known for years that he is free to go back home to Westeros. That was his sole purpose of spying on her in the first place. And instead of taking advantage of that he did things like walking through an effing desert with her and fighting in countless battles risking his life.......FOR HER. She dropped DRASTICALLY in my eyes with this episode.
Very unpopular opinion here but Tyrion was a boring character for me for almost the whole series I only started to like him in like the final two seasons
He could have killed the Mountain a lot quicker. But what Oberyn wanted was a public confession that Tywin gave the order to kill Elia Martell. Without that Oberyn can’t touch Tywin Lannister.
Only in the series. In the book, Mountain was much better, the fight was on an equal footing and Oberyn died for the cause

As long as we're going with the Princess Bride references, Oberyn was doing fine until he went all Inigo Montoya on him... 😉

I’m so sorry, but Joe you said the “pillars and the stone” does somebody got two pillars and one stone? Too good! 🤣

He did, I wish he had more time!
"You're a talker, and talkers make me thirsty" - The Hound brother of The Mountain.

Omg a series of unfortunate events is an amazing comparison. Thank you!!
nah that ending was crazy, truly the biggest jaw dropping moment ive ever seen lmao
Willlllld
Love that Taylor met Joe's energy with the sub button. lol FYI I loved the Barbie costume! It was so cute!
Ahhh thank you!❤️
3:01 lmfao good one wellz

Oh wow gotta check it out
Oberyn: Today’s not the day I die.
Mountain: Bitch please
He wanted the mountain to confess so it's no more a "Rumor" so he can go back to dorn and wage War against lannister with an actual proof not just a rumor

You two are Great 😌 “Along Came a Spider” 😬
Kudos to both actors who worked on this scene, but it was done way better in the books. I held that sword btw and it's literally unwieldy XD
Hahahaha Tay not ready for that!
At all!
This episode really suprised me
Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) is fine as hell
She really is gorgeous.
Lets go! Been waiting for this.
Elaria Sand isn't Oberyn's wife, she's his paramour, and mother to some of his 8 daughters, 3 I think.
4 out of 8
Plots getting spicy now aye
in the books oberyn needed the confession so he could have dorne go to war with the lannisters
He could have done Mountain easily, he was obsessed and that cost him.
Hubris...overconfidence...Oberyn lost because he made the smallest of errors by stepping too close. Indira Varma's scream of horror was perfect.
3:00 if that didn’t make you subscribe idk what will 😂
😭😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
How this episode should have ended: (see reply since it's a TH-cam video) called "Oberyn vs Mountain (The Denial Version)" if the video doesn't post.
Lol I love it!!!❤

unpopular for a reason lmao
Well at least you let them know he survives till the end I'm sure they'll appreciate that
