I bought a booster box, for the first time, about a week ago. There is something to be said about the anticipation and excitement one feels opening 26 booster packs. And I loved every moment of it - especially when I opened a Jace in my 9th pack and a Liliana in my 11th pack. While these cards are worth money, they are my first Planeswalkers and will be seeing play in constructed decks I use. If I had more than one of each, I might be tempted to sell them, but owning them and having them in my collection makes me feel awesome.

yeah but seeing it on a deck for fun and playing competitively is totally different...managorger hydra is not a bad card but there are far better 3 drops, anafenza being one among many n hydra would rank mid to low range
the fact that if any spells were played grew the hydra made it so good though. You had ways of preventing it from being removed too depending on the type of deck you were running back then. I was running G/b with it and I stomped standard with the deck and during gameday too! It's one of my personal favorites to come from the set.

That same situation happened with me when I pulled Nissa. There was a foil Nantuko Husk in front of it.
In the hundreds of packs I've bought, I've never drew a planeswalker.
I opened a fat pack of Origins when it was first released. I got 2 Jace and 2 foil rares (Infinite Obliteration and Llanowar Wastes). Almost sold the Jaces on the spot, but decided to hang on to them. I didn't realize they were worth anything until I saw this video.
You are my favorite TH-camr! After watching you open so many packs I went and got two battle for zendikar packs and the first two packs I had opened I got Ulamog the ceaseless hunger and a foil sunken hollow

"You're not going to open 2 Jaces in a booster box" I just wanna throw this out there.. I got 3 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy cards last December in the only MTG Origins booster box I ever bought.
Someone got Outland giant out when I was running r/g werewolves, and I almost scooped when he got the second out, but I got an ulritch flip with a neglected heirloom, plus borrowed hostilityx3 and just destroyed it

Geez I've never seen a triple foil rare box before. Also for your reminiscing vids you should do like some of the funniest moments you had playing the game (for examples hilarious times with your friends, amusingly dumb plays, and the like).

I got a box of Origins a few weeks ago(because I love Origins) and my box was almost the same as yours, except you got three foil rares and I only got one :(
Thanks to you I ordered the Lucky Magic Mystery Box from Ideal808. I havent gotten it yet but I cant wait.
Orbs of warding would not be a burn counter because burn decks usually run artifact removal like snag shy to smithereens

Wow, Jace's price spiked way the hell up. I'm almost tempted to sell mine but my collector side doesn't really want to let it go.

Not that I wouldn't play if the opportunity presented itself, but it's not my primary motivation. Like I said, I'm mostly just seeing what I get for the hell of it.

Jace's price is insane and unhealthy for Standard.
Standard's price is unhealthy for standard. Cheaper to just play modern.

The say if you wanna open packs do with Origins only. Okay dragons have some expensive cards but Jace Nissa Lili and Hangarback are just too good.
What program do you use to edit this? I know in Premiere Pro you can select the two audio tracks, right click, and choose sync and it will sync overlapping audio. I can tell you muted/didn't record the audio on the opening but did record/keep the audio from the 'headshot'

Jace will probably be staying at his price for awhile. Used in legacy and modern.(obv standard as well) Also you can still get a an origin box for decent price. 105-115.

Watching in December, and I have 2 things to say (since other people already corrected you on Sigil):
1) How the hell do you open like 6 mythics and 3 foil rares? I swear, this looks like what I pull when I have an audience (which makes me think I should be opening boxes on TH-cam as well, but I digress).
2) That Battlefield Forge is misprinted all to hell.

Yes, there are multiple Jaces, that one was released in 2015 if I remember properly, they were probably taking about Jace, the Mind Sculptor, but I'm not sure.

even with Jace, EV of origins is still not really worth it, which is why people aren't willing to open it, which is why Jace is so expensive. it's a vicious cycle.
