the best video I could find on TH-cam, you show the headlamp at night and that's great, does it really light up so much? which do you choose between the spot 350 and the storm 400? Why? And thank you so much
Ah thank you, appreciate your response. Personally the difference between 50 lumens and colour output I'd go for the spot 350 or the 350 revolt. The storm is good but bulky and ideally red light for night use is all you really need. If your a hunter maybe the storm but it's bulky. Stay awesome my friend
Hi great review I think the best out there. I know this is a black diamond review but interested to see how black diamond compare to Petzl and similar models from them cheers
Ah thanks Adam i appreciate your kindness. I use both. Petzl are simple units. They just work fine. Kinda just on and off. I see the black diamond units as more refined feature packed. I've used petzl for over 10 years now and they are solid. But the spot has become part of my daily carry as the beam and functionality really gives you extra options. In term of similar the tikka line will be most comparable but the BD has a better beam. The dimmer is also superb plus waterproof
I bought the Biolite 330, should have looked more into it. The mode switching feels so clunky and not particularly user friendly. This looks much better, and is cheaper.
Thanks for the review, it's probably the best on the web! I'm a bit worried about the Revolt because I've read it numerous times that the battery compartment is easy to break. Do you find it difficult to open as well? Or would you say it's durable and reliable? Also, did you mean that the Spot 350 can take rechargable AAA li-ion batteries too?
Hey, thanks for the kind words. I think the battery compartment appears strong and so far battery life hasn't been an issue. I looked at the specs on revolt and it's got a flat battery compartment, compared with the spot, which has an uneven design. Personally, I'm really happy with it and it's easily my favourite headlamp. It's solid and seems very well made. I think you would be happy
You have to check their website for that one my friend. I've been using this for off road night MTB rides on my helmet. Been great. I flooded one of my petzl lamps too from 3 hrs in the rain. So I'm defo converted now. However I might look into some German made headlamps. They are big output bit designed to be fully repaired
Is it storm 400? If so its larger and heavier. Has rgb secondary lights. Runs on 4 AAA batteries. Personally for me the spot 350 is the sweet spot for size and output. But I recommend seeing it in person or in store, so you can see whether it will integrate into your kit as you intend.
It's decent, cant see why it wouldn't work. Not a caver myself but it's output and runtime seen very decent. The throw and wide beams are my favourite plus the dimmer function is ace
Lol. Sometimes the camera does play about. It's actually because I have a large 70-200lens and despite it being overhead the minium focus length does come into effect. I just love the detail shots. 😍 in any case appreciate your feedback
That was THE BEST light demonstration EVER !!!!
😍😎🔥
Thanks, I forgot how to work all of the features. I'm not good with "intuitive" figuring out. Great help to refresh.
no worries 👍
I like BD headlamp, because it's light and simple 🙃🙃 thanks for the review ❤

I must say, I'm impressed with the intro! I like it

Comment in support of the channel. With gratitude, from Russia.
Thank you brother
Great demo! thank you
Much Appreciated sir. Be awesome
Have to cycle through white to get to red, completely defeats the point of having a red light. How do these experienced companies not understand this.
I'd love a red only Lockout setting. But I find if your already set to red, it stays on the last mods used. Petzl use the same system also.
@@AlphaPews right, but in general it’s just a bad design decision. Most companies make the same mistake
True

The rechargeable spots look good also, I'm keeping my eye out for new products. Stay tuned 😉

Looks great.wheres it made?

Just bought this unit. Looks like 40 euros well spent! thanks for the vid :)
Hope you enjoy it!
wow 350 lumens is that good? should I got 600???
200 is more than enough. 600 is overkill. ideally you want good battery life too? so lower output balanced with battery life is ideal
Fantastic.
I get one
I really love mine. Comedy with me everywhere. Super useful
Sportsmans warehouse has a spot 400. Is there any difference that you know of other than the lumens?

Do you think this headlamp should work for caving and be put on the helmet, with the battery life and everything?
It's decent, cant see why it wouldn't work. Not a caver myself but it's output and runtime seen very decent. The throw and wide beams are my favourite plus the dimmer function is ace
Obrigado amigo
😁
Obrigado ❤️
De nada. Most welcome amigo
Does it jhave sos?
No sos mode but you can signal using the power tap feature if needed. It has memory in brightness so you can also use the on/off switch in a pinch.
Middle main light doesnt work while side does
only on maximum light output
main light is throw, side light is flood and red is also flood too
????
@@AlphaPewsmiddle main led light is so weak.. is it defect?
@@AlphaPewshow to achieve thar maximum light output?? Coz every side light works but main big light only dim light ..
