Luckily, I learnt this back in '90 on my Atari 1040STe when Cubase was MIDI only. A nice refresher never hurts ;)

Thanks for the head's up on the Mac Keypad. You saved me money there, Mate!

No problem. I scratched my head the first time I came across it, and hopefully I'll find a solution for it (I know there *is* one, but I can't find it at the moment).

Been using the keypad for decades!!!
If you're on a laptop, a USB keypad is the cheapest 'controller' you can buy!
    VERY powerful stuff. 😎😎

I actually bought the one in the video to use as an economy streamdeck during the first lockdown in the UK for teaching guitar remotely - you couldn't get the real thing for love nor money at the time...

@musictechtuition Hi! A week ago I asked you if you know of any way on how to assign midi cc or midi note messages to call the different workspaces. Although you did not know, you seemed to be interested in that idea.
I asked Greg Ondo from Yamaha and he answered my question in one of his youtube "Club Cubase Live Streams"
Beside assigning "key commands" to call the desired workspaces, it is also possible to assign midi cc or midi note nessages to do that.
It can be done by creating midi notes or midi cc commands in a generic remote ‐> Workspaces - and chose the workspace that you want to be called.
You can find an example in that live stream called: "October 20 2023 Club Cubase Live Stream" at the time stamp: 03:09:50

Yeah, I did see that but I've been pretty busy and forgot to reply.... I think Generic Remote's time days may be numbered, alas!

The new MIDI Remote seems to be better than the old Generic Remote (it offers more options and it is more intuitive and faster to use).
From what I see it doesn't seem to miss any features from the old Generic Remote.
I'll have to wait until I upgrade to Cubase 13.

Cool!.. would like to press [Stop] and press [Stop] the second time, then time line jumps to the left locator... if it's within range...
This was possible to the Atari CLaps Notator and for me is the most intuitive way to re-recording anything on cycle mode

Yeah I use the keypad loads. just getting around easily is the most important thing.
