    All the parks, trails and downtown are a big part of this city’s awesomeness.

    Absolutely, yes! St George wouldn't be what it is today without the trails, parks and recreation. As St George population grows, we will need more parks as well as maintenance and improvements for old parks. $2.66 a month is just a small cost to try to keep our community fun, beautiful and safe.

      It all depends on what was proposed in the 1990s and how much they accomplished with that budget. Did they accomplish all that was proposed or did they manage the money improperly accomplished a lot less than is should have?

    If available, I'd definitely put a sign in my yard to vote "yes" for the G.O. Bond in November!

    I will be voting yes. Sun Bowl is in a desperate need of a renovation and can be used to draw in large name performers and large events. Tax dollars generated will pay for itself.

    Nice. I was there in July , and in Hurricane as well. Great to see the area and how the city thrives, the vibe.

    Very informative. I hope that $32 per month won't be viewed as a budget buster. I'll admit I use only one park for my morning walks. But, I enjoy driving around town and seeing other community members taking advantage of their neighborhood parks and trails.

    • @MaximusWilliams

      It's $32 per YEAR, per household with no yearly increase.

      It's something we've been paying for 25 years and I really really hope we get to continue paying for the next 25. Small price for such a big return

    Seems like a no brainer, I'll be voting yes. Great video as always.

      Agreed!There are some that oppose it though including a few city council candidates running. Need to make sure we get the right people in. Thank you for the feedback on the video!

    Does Saint George assess an impact fee for all new residential construction to fund the new parks?

      Saint George assess an impact fee to new residential construction to built new Parks. Search for it, I've posted the link twice, but it's being removed from comments.

    The trail and park system impressed me when I first moved here. I would rather have my tax dollars go to something everybody can enjoy. If this doesn't pass, we are letting the wrong people live here.

    • @macraeheppler
      @macraeheppler  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a few candidates running for city council that are opposing it as well. Hoping we get the right people in! This year's vote is extremely important

      @@macraeheppler who are the candidates that oppose this. I'd like to know so I don't waste my vote.

    Vote NO! The unbridled greed and growth from rich developers has to stop. Why aren't these developers tasked with building parks in their mega developments? More growth isn't the answer. But of course a realtor would be all for unbridled growth. Vote NO!!!

    • @macraeheppler
      @macraeheppler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are tasked with it too. These are city parks, trails, and amenities. Appreciate the comment though.

      St George has been one of the fastest growing cites in the US for decades. Growth and development is coming whether you like it or not.
