KAMAKURA & ENOSHIMA - only 2 hours from Tokyo!

Enoshima and Kamakura - the best daytrip from Tokyo?
We spent one day visiting Enoshima Island and Kamakura. We took the famous "hanging train" or Monorail to Enoshima and the walked accross the ocean to Enoshima Island. There we passed some temples and the "candle", saw lots of Hawks and eventually arrived at Iwaya Caves, the birthplace of Enoshima. Afterwards we took the ferry and made our way to Kamakura, where we saw KOTOKU-IN (the Big Buddha) and Hasedera Temple, before ending the day at Kamakura beach and Komachi Shopping Street. Overall, we can highly recommend Enoshima and Kamakura as a daytrip from Tokyo!
