Kool video. Good stuff. I too thought that those cars could be purchased for under one thousand dollars. But I'm wrong and it's getting harder and harder to find Low price panthers. In the south rust free Lincolns , Mercury,, and Vics are selling for three to seven thousand. And prices will only increase. Good luck hope you find one.
@@msschill I have never replaced a water pump on a Dodge charger before, but I would find it hard to believe you would have to remove the entire engine in order to do so. Can you clarify this would need to be done?
Crown Victoria Police Cars, fuel tanks were pushed up against the bumper bolts, over the years they leak and you get rear ended, the tank will explode.
I would have liked to have that Continental. The hideous wheels someone put on it would need replaced back to the Lincoln original wheels but it’s a beautiful Lincoln.
good video. I disagree with waiting to bid until it is dirt cheap because everyone jumps in then. If i am really interested in something i will jump in before it hits the rock bottom price, it throws the other bidders off. Like that crown that sold for the opening bid of $1,000. he threw the other bidders that were waiting for it to drop to $700 and looking confused to the guys next to them saying why did he bid so much?, the auctioneer sold it to him but if he would have waited until the $700 price than there would have been 5-7 or more hands up and it probably would have sold for $1400. but everyone has different bidding styles, mine is i don't always wait for the dirt cheap prices unless i want to get into a bidding war, quite often it works to bid a little higher price and just take it for that 1 bid.
@@stuartbailey3824 there’s a lot of different ways. If you want to do it correctly, you remove the tank throw it away and go get another one. The next level below that is to remove the tank remove the sending unit drain all the gas out and then toss a bunch of inside the tank with water and dishwashing soap and switch that around for about a half an hour. And then there is a lazy man way where you just put a holes in a tank all the old gasoline put fresh gasoline in it and throw three or four clear in line filters into the line and keep swapping him out, until you don’t get any more debris.
I wouldn't hesitate to spend 1500 to 2000 for the panther platform. 200k miles is just a drop in the bucket for how durable these cars are. They are much better built cars and much more reliable than the Chargers.
That guy who jumped on the $1000 bid was smart. He blew everyone out. Shocked people OR everyone thought the auctioneer would come down in starting price. They all lost as his was the cheapest car sold
Can you help me get a car? Im in Mansfield Ohio and i am disabled on ssi. I have no help at all with rides and i tried to get a car from several dealers and they all say i don't make enough money.

How many miles is 1000 engine hours? By that math, a 1,000-hour engine is comparable to a car with 25,000 miles. So that police car probably has an extra of 60,000 engine miles

You’re living in the past man, auction prices haven’t been that good in a long time😂
Thanks for your update.
You bet
Great job buddy, it's about time to start buying some cool stuff like the old chevys you buy. Keep it up.
🔴 Semi It's a ok deal you can get them cheaper buy it now from copart! Indy represent 🇺🇸
Subbed. I really enjoy your content.
Welcome aboard!
Why didn't you show the Taurus? Some of those police interceptors are basically an SHO. 365hp twin turbo 3.5
I’ll look at one next time. But I’m sure metro will not spend the money for the good one.
Water pump failures require engine out, transfer case for AWD are garbage and don't handle the abuse.
@@msschill I have never replaced a water pump on a Dodge charger before, but I would find it hard to believe you would have to remove the entire engine in order to do so. Can you clarify this would need to be done?
I should've been more clear, the Ford Taurus with the 3.5 V6 (I believe that's the right engine size) is the one that has reliability issues.
Crazy prices! It doesn't matter if their new or used 90% aren't worth the asking price. Even non runners are overpriced. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for showing us
My pleasure 😊
BTW THOSE NEWER DODGE CHARGERS 15-24 WHEN YOU SEE THOSE FLAT WHEELS THAT LOOK LIKE PLASTIC HUB CAPS , THOSE CHARGERS ARE AWD
Good deals on the Crown Vics i see those on Craigslist & Facebook here for at least 3,500$ most are alot more
Most Police Cars in Mass. are Ford Explorers, State Police might have used Chargers, and Tahoes, but the next year, Mass. goes back to Fords.
Good content bro. Looks like your steady growing. Do more repair and hands on work also
Thank you, I will
@streetratgarage anytime my guy. Have a good weekend
They don’t call it Ford for no reason! FIX YOUR REPAIR DAILY!
Creative as always

In Mass. Auction, most vehichles would be Fords.
That big screen with the cars and their current bid is nice. I cannot understand the auctioneer.

Hi Charles, do you know a good way of cleaning the tank when it's had stale (20+ year old gas)

That Ford SUV that did not have a nameplate on. It is called a Ford Explorer. That’s why they call it. The Ford exploder.
Ever go to the State Auctions in Illinois?
No yet, will get there one day

Do I need a dealer license for this auction? I love your videos you got me started with my cars I’m on my 3rd one now my dad even watches with me.
No dealer licenes requires. Government owned vehicle must be offed to the public.
Thanks for watching!
What about the Chevy extra long vans?
Can’t remember what they brought but seemed a bit on the high side
What’s your opinion of those 5.7L Chargers with high idle hours? Do they have a lot of top end noise?
Very much so. If the idle hours are even close to 50% of the total, then it should have a lifter tick
the cars seem ok if you just want a fairly cheap runabout for a couple of years

Kinda looks that way.

How much is what?
You had it right , "exploder".

There is no one answer for that question.
For a charger it’s a lot more than a crown Vic.
