I wish Helen Reddy would have done more like this. Her talent was immense and I love her solo albums. But the richness of her voice adds so much to this. Her rock vibe in later albums was so good, but I think it was under used. She shines when she leads an ensemble. The rock vibe here is a perfect fit. Such leadership. Pure Helen Reddy.

Helen helped to emancipate 51% of Australia's population at a time when Gough Whitlam came to Government in December 1972.
It was great timing.
Gough's Government was progressive not conservative.
After 23 yrs of Liberal/Country Party Government keeping Australia in the dark, Labor had to work fast.

Women's Rights, Aboriginal Rights, Funding Arts and Culture, JJ 1540 AM Radio, Countdown on ABC TV with Molly Meldrum, the long list goes on..........
As an 11 yr old in a very political household, I remember thinking that this woman, Helen Reddy, was the voice of these great social changes.
Well, she was a major part of a very important time in Australian history.
She was a very strong and powerful singer who sang brilliant songs.
I love her very much and am very saddened by her passing

Barry kept his eyes closed thru 90 percent of the song I don’t blame him performing On live TV is both scary and exciting all at once. both Barry and Hellen sang wonderful their voice complement each other. Moe looking adorable on the side. I loved it!
I know the Beatles were The Bee Gees heroes but they (the Beatles) never came close to the talent that these brothers had. Add to that their humble, funny, sweet and, yes, innocent personalities and utter devotion to their families and they are simply the BEST! I’ll never be tired of their music or the best dance music of all time! Maurice, Robin & Andy, Rest In Peace. Barry, carry on for all of them. I think somehow you were always supposed to. The Beatles were an over-rated boyband. They were more manufactured than "Backstreet Boys". The Beatles had more shameless merchandising than "KISS", with friggin' "Beatles Lunchboxes" and "Beatles Trading Cards". They were just gross money-makers churning out schlock to the masses. Not to mention their Nursery Rhyme lyrics. "Love me Do"? "She loves you, yeah yeah yeah"? Groundbreaking...
The BeeGees actually wrote sophisticated pop lyrics and melodies from their very first album to their last. Unlike the Beatles whose first few albums are now unlistenabl-ey dated. And their later drug-fueled albums are unlistenable if you are sober.

I'm 58, and I had a crush on Reddy to the day God's choir selfishly took her from us last year!

Thank you for creating such wonderful, talented people as these Lord, who never got all high on themselves as so many in this world do. Sure everybody makes mistakes, some bigger than others and we ALL make them, and always will.
But some of them, such as the people on that stage somehow managed to stay firmly grounded on teroforma and remained humble, appreciative, kind and loving in a world of egotistical, narcissistic talentless dolts and their sycophant armies!
In these dark days, always remember the people we think we "elect" are taking our rights and freedoms away from us, which were paid for in the blood of patriots, and in the efforts and sacrifice of men and women from among us "peons" such as my own father, a WWII veteran. Thank God he's not here to see all that bloodshed, all that misery, agony, terror and the tremendous loss of life and limb being so disrespected and even mocked.
There are some things nobody can ever take from us - the love for and of our friends, family and each other, because we have always managed to set our differences aside whenever we've come under attack from foreign dictators. This time the attack is from within, after they spent decades setting us against each other and creating little cliques and groups where we're brainwashed into believing we're perpetual victims of each other. It's a classic tactical operation armies and politicians have used from the very beginning -divide and conquer!
We will overcome all their wicked efforts and I do believe we will come together again, and we will stand up to the enemy within in, and we WILL be victorious, we WILL get our nation back better than ever!! DIVIDED WE FALL, UNITED WE STAND!! Remember that great song?
That's another thing they cannot take from us - MUSIC! Music has always been a powerful uniter!!
And even with music the adage "garbage in garbage out" is so true! Anything that can be used for good, is always stolen by the "enemy" and used against us for their wicked purposes.
They've always attacked our true, artists who fight using their gift to bring all people together regardless of sex, race, political leanings or faith. Like John Lennon who they tried to kick out of the country, but we all paid back John's efforts to end war and try peace, and he eventually got his U.S. citizenship!!
That IS the power of LOVE! Let's never abandon the true source of that LOVE brothers and sisters!!
Let's never allow "them" to turn us on each other based on lies and propaganda spread thick by Clown Car MSM the 4th branch of seditious government!!

This group of awesome singer/songwriters had a HUGE hand in shaping that generation and we can keep that message alive by sharing these great songs with as many people as we possibly can because their message is still as real and as strong as it was back in the dasy, and we need to hear it more than ever right here and right now!

Actually the Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man and grew up in Manchester, England. I just watched a This Is Your Life from the early 1990s on them that I found on TH-cam. One of my favorite groups of all time.

Interesting what someone has posted slightly under me, those guys are the wonderful Bee Gees, I'm a huge Bee Gees fan, and I also have at least Helen Reddy's greatest hits on vinyl, with several other songs on various compilations. For me the saddest thing, is of all four wonderful performers, only one is still with us Barry Gibb. Don't you know that the Bee Gees actually wrote that song. I'm a Kiwi, from New Zealand. Jimmy Barnes has also performed this song, and I do believe has also recorded it. Free Speech Rules if it's appropriately put.
