There are rules to abide by to be a responsible drone pilot. The only way you could have got this footage would be that you took the drone inside the resort (which is very clearly against resort policy, and would likely land you a permanent ban from the park), or that you started from outside the resort and flew it over (which would have meant you lost line-of-sight of the drone, which _is_ illegal.) Also, because drones are against their terms of service, Alton Towers can still press charges. In 2015, a man was successfully sued and fined for flying his drone over Alton Towers. Another law is that you also cannot fly within a 50m ground-radius of people nor the area above them (essentially creating a cylindrical no-fly zone) This law is very clearly violated at several points in the video such as 0:31, 2:26, 3:28 and 5:57 just to name a few.
That aside though, this is just a straight up stupid and irresponsible thing to do. Could you imagine the damage you could have done if your drone ran out of power, lost control or broke in some other way? Something falling from that height onto crowds of people and _running roller coasters_ could cause millions of pounds of damage and straight up kill people. Not to mention the basic lack of respect for not thinking that filming random members of the public from a drone might be a bit creepy. Explicitly illegal? Maybe not, but still should be considered nonetheless.
If you're desperate for drone footage, contact Towers directly to see they can give you permission to get some footage while the park is closed. Otherwise, _do not do this_. It's irresponsible, dangerous and illegal.

It's a sub 250g drone, you clearly know nothing about drone laws or restricted airspace, Alton Towers don't own the airspace above their land.
It's public, there's cameras everywhere on everyone's phone, there's no expectation to privacy, so grow up. You're embarrassing yourself.

@MatthewWilkinson it's actually illegal to fly over crowds of people regardless of drone size.
