    3:36 thats all we in private security can really use our tools for DEFENSE. Now there are some contracts which give additional trainings to us these tools in order to get compliance but that is not what the typical newbie in security your going to be doing. Those contracts are for those with expreince in the security field. For me personally i say if you are just starting out in security at maybe your first post where you know you are not going to actively be an emergency responder get the pulse, it'll get the job done and with that 30 second ride of the lighting it'll be enough to get you and the others out of danger for the most part.
    Now when you get to something bigger such as a federal contract, courthouse, or even the tribal security/police side of things where you will be the emergency responder for the property then i'd say go ahead and get the x26 or X2 which after you have gotten the proper training can use it to gain compliance. That's just my perspective.

      Yes for sure I totally agree with everything you said it Perfect! when I first started out as an Armed Security Officer just trying to get more experience under my belt I had the pulse but it was used for that exact reason 30sec ride drop and run to safety! But as I progressed and got deeper into private Security as an Armed Federal Officer or Executive Protection I made the switch to a more professional tool (x26) I had to show up to a court case that involved my company and that's where I got the knowledge of case law and compliance vs self defense the only way they were able to keep the contract is of the company MADE all armed officers working at that location carry a X2 or X26 you were no longer allowed to carry a Pulse and I heard the 30sec self shut off excuse in court and all they did was laugh at that reply and said there is a reason all those advantages have been added to the professional tools such as the X2 or X26 it all depends on what type of Security work you are doing and if you just recently started or not....Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video I appreciate you. 🙏✌️

    I know they are super expensive but if you can afford the X7 it is a lot better mechanism. There's a reason law enforcement agencies only report a 20% success rate in tasers. The probe travels at 150 ft per second and does not penetrate clothing well at all. I was super into the taser when it first came out and after going through the instructor course I thought that it was going to be the next big innovation in law enforcement. However, when I started using it on the street, I experienced a lot of failures. I'm a top-notch marksman and I've even won several competitions local 3 gun shoots. The failures I experienced we're not due to shot placement, they were due to the wonky accuracy of the probes. In my opinion, for a security gig, you really need at least the X2 or higher.

  • @UniversitySecurity
    @UniversitySecurity ปีที่แล้ว +3

    In my opinion the Pulse is not made to the same standard as the X26. It's not really intended for daily use / duty use....It's an emergency tool.

    • @SecurityZone1
      @SecurityZone1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I totally agree with you on that one! Definitely is better to "have it" and "not need it" then to "need it" and "not have it" (Self Defense) thanks for tuning in I appreciate you.🙏💯

  • @crimbullet
    @crimbullet ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The Pulse is more for non-professional carry - maybe “everyday carry.” The X26 is more for “duty.” I currently carry the X7 - worst Taser ever. Way too complicated for me. I have carried the X26 for over a decade and I have no complaints. X26 is a win for me!

    • @SecurityZone1
      @SecurityZone1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree 100% ever since I started carrying the X26 i'v had no issues at all even when I mixed the two and used the Pulse for duty it didn't penetrate through thick clothing as good as the X26 and even if it did the layers of clothing stopped the pulse from reaching it's potential that's why the shaped pulse technology plays such a big role in why the X26 was and still is in my opinion the best Professional taser for "Duty"

      Thank you for your comment. I appreciate your perspective on the Taser Pulse and its effectiveness as a self-defense tool. Upgrading to the Taser X26 can indeed offer additional features and capabilities, particularly for private security purposes. It's great to know that police surplus options are available online, providing a more affordable way to acquire a reliable device. It's important to prioritize personal safety and make informed choices when it comes to self-defense equipment. Thank you for sharing your insights!

      @SecurityZone1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching my video I appreciate it🙏 I agree with what you are saying although I worked for a few Federal contracts that requires us Armed Executive Protection Officers to become Fully certified in the Taser X26 for that exact reason, but for regular Private Security, Armed Security, this would not be a recommendation just to be CEW Certified, we could definitely get into a lot of trouble if we don't comply with our state laws.

    • @socalsecurityspecialist864
      @socalsecurityspecialist864 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm actually fully certified in the use of a taser and I've worked as a high profile executive protection agent. That role is considered private security and falls under BSIS regulations and CA penal code. I'm not sure what Federal contract mixes the two roles of Security guard and peace officer? Using the taser as a compliance tool is not allowed unless you are a peace officer or have limited peace officer powers? You can in theory dry stun someone to get them to comply but, that use of force must still be in a self defense situation. Looking forward to seeing some more videos!

      For holsters, it's almost always Safariland. Most agencies now are not carrying anything older than the taser X2. As far as OC goes, the largest distributor to law enforcement is Sabre. Batons are almost a thing of the past. The old pr-24 batons were great but the newer ASP batons don't work very well. Plus, it's always better to taze or use OC than to beat somebody with a stick. I've been training police and security for close to 15 years and that's the standard that you see across-the-board almost everywhere.
