Honestly cried when I found out the one in the seed was Ysera and when she was awoken... I love and hate Blizzard at the same time for this
I was BAWLING when I first saw this... as well as the long march to the Winter Queen where everyone came together...
The music that started at her escort up to the queen was so legendary to listen to, wish I could find it - God this entire storyline for Ysera and when I found out, I was teary.
@@Taintedshadez its a mix of a piece called nightsong I believe what we heard in this cinematic was called the dreamer
I remember earlier in the questline, I was playing through late but somehow hadn't been spoiled on anything. And they kept dropping hints. Two or three hints in, I finally figured it out, and what a revelation. As a lifeline NE druid who 100%'d Val'sharah and just about every "nature" zone in the entire game, that hit hard.

I cried when Ysera died. Like cried, almost every time I saw it. When she came back I was stunned. I might well have cried once more.

They were made by her siblings the other titans. Orcs were made by aggramar.

Someone find tyrande and tell her ysera lives again. She took that pretty hard
I don't think Tyrande cares anymore. She is beyond caring for anything. Her power is consuming her and she seems to feel empty. So I'm not sure how impactful this will be for her... Perhaps it'll give her hope but perhaps it'll be a faint glimmer in the place that once held her heart.
I think Ysera will be a key character in saving Tyrande later. But for now, Tyrande only cares about killing sylvanas. She's so full of wrath that i doubt anyone could change her mind.
"IF" Elune is indeed the Winter Queens sister as many are suggesting & since Elune embued Tyrande with her powers as the Jailer did to Sylvanas then maybe the Winter Queen as Elunes sister could help Tyrande find the peace she needs by either teaching her how to control it or take the powers away. But a battle between Tyrande and Syvanas both having powers imbued through them from very powerful ancient/cosmic beings would be a battle worth seeing then we could see how powerful they really are, at least that's a battle I would like to see LOL.
@@justine8398 I personally was also thinking that perhaps the Winter Queen *if* she is Elune's sister, might be her twin or maybe she's the other half of Elune's soul or something like that, but considering that Ysera now holds part of the Winter Queen's magic but still feels connected to the dream what if she can share the burden with Tyrande. We've been told that the Night Warrior is "doomed" to die. But what if half of the night warrior was already dead? And maybe your idea as well, because then Tyrande would be partly bound to Ardenweald and be partly "dead" as well, so perhaps if the Arbiter goes boom Tyrande and Ysera would be the ones to "ferry" souls to Ardenweald. Because they'd have a connection to both life and death?
Obviously this is pure speculation and it's all based on narrative themes and imagery/symbolism but it's still fun to speculate :D
I'm pretty certain Eonar is the winter queens sister, since eonar is part of the pantheon of order, and winter queen is part of the pantheon of death

I think that is talking about the winter queen. vassal: holder of land by feudal tenure on conditions of homage and allegiance. Eyes of green usually means Invy or Jealousy. I belive she is the reason for why things are ordered but that's just a theory A GAAAAME theory

@@markarato8034 It's called "Nightsong", often used at places with a battle, like in Ashenvale at the outpost where a few sentinels are holding out against a huge Horde force (one of the first quests there for Alliance).

Anyone else holding out hope she goes back to Azeroth or at least the Emerald Dream when this is all done.
That's how it _should_ work. Ysera, as a keeper of Life, went to Ardenweald when she died. As a wildseed, she was nurtured and healed back to her full strength. Now that she's awoken, she should be sent through the portal at the Heart of the Forest back to the Emerald Dream, and from there, she can eventually return to Azeroth, the exact same path Cenarius took.
But the Winter Queen said something about Ysera being bound to Ardenweald now, and Droman Aliothe said she also couldn't return to her world even if it was still around. So maybe the Winter Queen wants Ysera to stay?
She goes back. In Dragonflight Malfurion takes her spot In the dream and the Winter Queen releases her. She has yet to see her brothers and sister though, but she did meet her dear daughter Merithra.

Are the proportions correct? The Winter Queen is already humongous and the dragon is still a giant over her?
Yes, dragon aspects are colossal.
Her sister is who? Her sister is the master of the Green Dragon Aspect of Nature and devout of Elune, but isnt it Eonar the Titan whom created the Dragon Aspects? so whom is The Winter Queen's sister? Elune? (Unlikely). Or perhaps even Eonar?... Speculations.

They're in the realm of Ardenweald, which is part of the afterlife in which the spirits of wild gods who die go to regenerate so they can be reborn. However, there's currently a drought in the afterlife of anima, which is the spirit energy that powers everything that happens there. Instead of using anima to regenerate all the wild gods, they are having to cannibalize some of them to prevent the whole realm from collapsing.
In this scene, the faerie court of the Winter Queen, ruler of Ardenweald, is trying to convince her to revive the spirit sleeping in the pod because of its importance, and the peace and serenity it inspires in the other spirits of Ardenweald. The Queen senses that the being sleeping within is of Elune, her counterpart in the realm of Life, with whom she currently holds a grudge. Not knowing the cause of the anima drought, the Winter Queen believes Elune has abandoned them all to die. She's ill inclined to use her power to revive a being created by Elune.
After the impassioned speeches from her faerie court, she begrudgingly agrees and sacrifices part of her power to revive the sleeping spirit. It is revealed to Ysera, the Emerald Dragon Aspect. The Dragon Aspects are the rulers of their respective dragon flights and are incredibly powerful protectors of Azeroth. Ysera recently died during the war with the Legion (in the expansion called Legion) and has been sleeping in Ardenweald ever since.
Could the Winter Queen be the Sister of Eonar the creator of Freya the titan?

I remember the challenge getting to this area in TBC days and hoping you made it in time to watch the performance. If you didn't you'd sign out on that character and come back later hoping to watch it. Despite how many were playing back then not many had witnessed it. I am glad they used it in future story lines.

@@djbapt The area shown. It became a challenge to see the "dance". There were no mobs there to kill and so you only went there to see the dance.

To actually make it to that area was a challenge back then as no player was meant to actually go there. It was an Easter egg for those who tried and that is all. and there were also some in the then largest are of the barrens. The coders just wanted to add them for fun.

i mean, seriously, they sacrificed Ursoc? which fought like a God (lol) in the war vs the demons, but not Ysera, here comes plot armor! i would have prefered to have my bear boi back! like... i get it if you sacrifice a peasant farmer from stormwind... but sacrificing the souls of demi gods? dude, that Queen needs to chill and start to pick up those souls in a better matter than randomly killing em...
yes, i mean it for the greater good... a peasant farmer or a MF demon-killin warrior that stood till the end on a mountain of corpses of demons it killed itself, which reincarnation would you prefer fighting besides you in this war?
In both cases, the decision made Ara'lon. Who knows how much he knew about Ursoc or Ysera.
That's what grinded my buttons when playing the zone. Yes I get Ysera is important being Aspect of life but Ursoc helped druids become bears and helped teach others aswell
