i like renee's top since it was (allegedly) inspired by kpop girl group new jeans member hanni's performance outfit (she has the same exact top). i can see how it might not be for everybody but since kpop is so fashion forward, it's nice to see Mattel actually pay attention to current trends for once lol
i like how 3 dimensional they made these characters! they all have dreams and hobbies. malibu loves makeup, and she loves camping. teresa loves gaming, but also gymnastics. they don’t just have one personality trait, and i think that makes them more realistic and relatable! i love renee’s heart top and bag. i agree that a textured/protective hairstyle on brooklyn would’ve been amazing. i like tinsel, but when there’s that much in the hair it can be hard to manage.

Most Barbie size shoes are too small. I did fine pink Barbie Tennis shoes that fit Renee. Body types are similar, waste bigger than Barbie body, bust line is smaller. I think they will appeal to more people across the board. Should be liked by children. These are simpler and basic. By the way I'm new to your channel and LOVE this review. It looks like Renee, Brooklyn, Malibu and Theresa aren't my only favorite new dolls. You two are delightful!

So they decided to nickname one another as the city where they're respectively from to help differentiate themselves. This was probably done for us to have a proper black Barbie, that is really named Barbie. Also, Teresa is also my favorite from this line, she's gorgeous 🧡

Barbie is both black and white at the same time since 2021 and they have nicknames of where they are from. The other 2 friends are like classic Barbie lore friends
Teresa is one of Malibu Barbie’s og friends from back in the day. She came out after Christine who was replaced by Nikki but Brooklyn Barbie has basically replaced both as the dominant black character in the Barbie franchise. Kira who is Asian American was the last member of the og friend group till Raquelle took her spot as the dominant Asian character. Renee appears to be replacing both in that role and yes this is her debut.

I need at least two of each so that I can customize a set 💖 They feel much more Ever After High to me, given the face sculpts and head proportions, but I love EAH so I’m not complaining! (I don’t like Bratz at all… I don’t think these are really similar to Bratz in the slightest)

I need to overshare something so that you guys can understand how important the work your doing is. When I first saw the pictures for the Teresa doll I couldn't believe how much she looked like me. I have brown eyes instead of her beautiful green eyes but other than that I've never seen a doll that I thought resembled me like she does. I have the dimples, long brown curly hair, same skintone. I just finished getting me degree in Digital Media Technology and also spend time coding and 3D sculpting. When I fould that out about Teresa I was in disbelief we shared those things in common too. Anyways, I've been having a really hard time lately. My boyfriend uses social media to look at beautiful women all the time but barely notices me. Looking in the mirror usually makes me cry and it's been killing my self esteem. I know that's too much to share on the internet but I only say this to tell you guys that when talked about how beautiful yall thought Teresa was, it made me feel really good about myself. For a moment it made me really proud of the parts of me that I usually hate. To know that somewhere in this world there are people that would look at a line up of dolls that are perfectly beautiful in way and say that the one they liked the face of best was one like looked similar to me...idk it just gives me some hope. Anyways, I'm just trying to say thank you for sharing this doll review. It's hard to make sense of why it's such an important thing to me but i just want yall to know im grateful. I think the marks on the face are a box issue, they needed to make the box a bit bigger so it's not rubbing the dolls faces! I hope to add these gals to my collection soon ❤ much love friends 💗 xoxo

This could very well change when i see them in person, but going off my first impression here, my ranking goes: SPOILER ALERT -- There's a tie for first place! lol 1) Teresa - Cute outfit, lovely color scheme that compliments her hair. Very pretty makeup. Shame about the shoes, tho. 1) Malibu - Cute outfit. The best accessories. Harkens back to the unapologetic pink glamour of Barbie's B.M. (Before Millie) era. Disappointed that she's supposed to be the makeup girlie of the group, yet her makeup is so bland. 2) Brooklyn - Meh outfit that doesn't fit her character bio, but i do think the individual pieces are cute. Gorgeous face! Prolly the best done makeup, tbh. The blue pops with her eye color and the lip color choice is *chef's kiss*. They almost look lined and blended. stunning! Just a shame about her hair. I do agree that this was a missed opportunity to give her some braids or a textured hair style. When I get her, that tinsel is coming out! 3) Renee - Also suffers from having a meh outfit that doesn't fit the character bio. Like Brooklyn's pieces, they're not bad separately. But she also has very bland makeup as well. Cute base doll, but that's about it. Thank you both for sharing, btw! I love how detailed you were in this review!

This could very well change when i see them in person, but going off my first impression here, my ranking goes:
SPOILER ALERT -- There's a tie for first place! lol
1) Teresa - Cute outfit, lovely color scheme that compliments her hair. Very pretty makeup. Shame about the shoes, tho.
1) Malibu - Cute outfit. The best accessories. Harkens back to the unapologetic pink glamour of Barbie's B.M. (Before Millie) era. Disappointed that she's supposed to be the makeup girlie of the group, yet her makeup is so bland.
2) Brooklyn - Meh outfit that doesn't fit her character bio, but i do think the individual pieces are cute. Gorgeous face! Prolly the best done makeup, tbh. The blue pops with her eye color and the lip color choice is *chef's kiss*. They almost look lined and blended. stunning! Just a shame about her hair. I do agree that this was a missed opportunity to give her some braids or a textured hair style. When I get her, that tinsel is coming out!
3) Renee - Also suffers from having a meh outfit that doesn't fit the character bio. Like Brooklyn's pieces, they're not bad separately. But she also has very bland makeup as well. Cute base doll, but that's about it.

molded edges are a rainbow high thing. It would also be prone to misprints under mattel. For customizing it's better to not be molded.
