I got my other eye done in August, cataracts, and with toric lenses in both, I now have 20/20 vision for the first time ever ! Re the Graduation, the same happened my cousin, where the mother would have boycotted it, if he had turned up. People have different levels of maturity.
@@Escapetofrance-Charente It's amazing, I'd worn glasses since I was about 8 years of age, so a long time ! When i got the right eye done a couple of years ago, I could no longer wear glasses due to the lens in the glasses being further away than the lens in the other eye, so I had one contact lens in the other eye and even that was fine. It's nice being able to walk out in the rain without bemoaning the lack of wipers ;) Anyway each eye was a 20 minute procedure and in and out within 2 hours. Just get a good recommended surgeon and you'll be fine when the time comes, it's just amazing what they can do nowadays.

Hi Rob my friend, French peasant here as usual... I'm glad you did not cut ties with your homeland and it is always good to go back and try to make things right, exactly what I did when I came back home 10 years ago after 20 years of absence. I'm still having a hard time reconnecting with my younger son but one day after another, one step after another.... love and forgiveness are important

I had 'every' intention of 'Ha-Ha-ing' when you forgot your wallet, and had it saved up until the end.....that it of course until I saw Rosie's face when she first seen you, then I got all girly and had a little blub, so decided to park the Ha-ha's. Nice to see family and you must be so proud of their achievements. Should of gone to the graduation ceremony even if it was just a quick photo afterwards, Driving past your old work must of been brave did you fancy popping in. Best thing we have seen on youtube,..... Ever.... Emotional, funny, informative. An absolutely brilliant episode mate, loved ever moment and was gutted when it finished. The looks on your daughter's faces had the tears coming for both of us watching. Family is the most important thing ever. Well done for going, well done for over coming so much. It must have been funny to drive on the left side and heavy traffic so different from your quiet traffic in Charente.People are always amazed when they see our empty roads and villages free of inhabitants . Your vlog is very entertaining showing the life of a « normal expat »and it changes from the chateaux ones.I do hope you learn more French to be able to integrate more easily . I am so happy that your son Robie is now fluent . You should ask him to teach you more even if it’s more difficult for you .Say « Joyeux anniversaire » to him for me et bonne journée en Charente.
