    Thank you for your videos. We need more because I am new. Where can I buy bone already prepared for carving small items like parts of jewelry?

    Thank you Hunter. Can't wait until part 2. As this video is going I have a note pad and taking notes. I appreciate you answering my question and even making a video out of it too. Thank you again Hunter.

    Super-informative and well presented. I started carving that bull sacrum. I decided on a Cobra (head-on) surrounded by bamboo and a dragonfly or two, which I intend to color-fill. I had to stop carving after basic outlining, as I only had round burrs and will be restarting at the end of the month. Currently busy getting the garden ready/planted and with all the rain it is slow going. Since you present this so well, I suggest you catalogue the vids (in playlists?) for tutorials. Again, of all the diy vlogs I have seen, yours id the first I rate a 6 on a 1-5 scale. Thanks for thinking of others as pursue your goals!

      Yes, they work great for lots of different carving. I get them for free from local dentist.

    Hunter, thank you for these really helpful videos! I have a question. I ordered an inverted cone bur and I was surprised that it does not have a cutting surface on top of it. Only on the sides. The top of the bur is smooth. Is that the same as yours or not? Thanks.

    • @usskullhunter
      @usskullhunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bob! The majority of inverted cone burrs do not have a cutting edge on the top. The part of the burr that is really doing the most cutting it the outer edge of the top of the cone and not the top. You are kinda cutting at a sight angle most of the time which is the edge of the burr, if that makes sense.

    Awesome, I've used all of those burrs before but only on thin wood. That's the first time Ive seen the top of the heads used that way.

    Which do u prefer the hand piece your using now or a full sized dremmel as i just brought the dremmel3000 as i am a beginner

    • @usskullhunter
      @usskullhunter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what I am using is the Flex Shaft by Dremel which actually just attaches to the dremel itself. I use the Dremel 4000. I would definitely recommend adding the flex shaft as it gives you a lot more mobility.

    Hunter this came at just the right time. I just bought a universal chuck and the flex shaft and I got a couple cow skulls (free!) from a local butcher. While the bugs do their work on the skulls I’ll be getting burrs and learning about them. Thanks!!
