I liked how Ragna developed through the series.
They even added a subtle reference to this with black feathers in his intro in the video to the white feathers at the end as he does a Hell's Fang.

I just realized that we technically have no new characters (story-wise) in this game.
Hibiki, Nine, Izanami, and Jubei were previously NPCs; Naoto, Mai, and Es are in supplementary media/spinoffs, and Susanoo... uh... yeah.
Toro,kajun,Trinity,kazama, even if some are not fighters they can make something happen.
BlazBlue Continuum Shift was like that too, Hazama and Valkenhayn got introduced as npc in CT and later became playable in CS.

Im sorry but im actually crying. This was a amazing series, the cast the story the feels. all of it to hit you at the end. The coffession of Rachel's love for Ragna to Jin insanity being over come be desperation for not wanting to lose his brother. this story was amazing....Ragna you have a life to come bad too. Plz Ark don't let this boy have a horrible ending.

BBCT~BBCF2 was pretty much my entire youth. I loved it so fucking much. Mori P is gone but the title still belongs to Arcsys. I'd really wanna see Arcsys make a new proper fighting game for the series so it can live on. I was so hyped back then when I first saw that fully animated arm of Ragna grabbing his sword at the beginning of this opening. I was thinking that maybe Arcsys was going to give Blazblue that GuiltyGear Xrd treatment and upgrade the sequel to a 2.5D next generation fighting game. Nope, the series pretty much died after BBCF2... I tried Tag but two things: (1)It's not an actual sequel, it's more of a spinoff. (2)I didn't really like Tag's system and the game was pretty unbalanced. Then, BBDW got delayed badly, which really hurt the game profit because by the time BBDW was finally released, the gacha game market was pretty much saturated. The result being that BBDW only lived less than a year. IMO they should've never invested in mobile game. Arcsys is pretty good at making anime fighters if they put efforts into it. They are pretty much the best anime fighters maker on the market. BlazBlue series could've been in a much better position now if they just focused on developing its sequel as proper anime fighting games. Even now, it still hurts my soul to see how my favorite series died in this slow and painful way. Arcsys, please do something to revive this series. GGST is doing pretty well and I believe you still have that same power to also make BB great again.

@@ningensan8198 Telling me to fk off just because I spoke out my thought? Okay. In my defence, I never said it HAS to be in 2.5D. I was just saying that Ragna model at the beginning of this video reminds me of what they've done to GG. The only thing I really care about is them making a proper sequel anime fighters for BB. 2D or 2.5D, I'm fine with either of them. You can hate on their 2.5D approach to STRIVE but the truth is STRIVE is just doing a lot better than any previous GG games worldwide. Mind you that Arcsys ain't some huge company like Bandai or Capcom. They do not have the same amount of resource and so they cannot afford to trial and error too many times in the market. The success of DBFZ and GGST internationally speaks for itself. It's just likely that any new fighting game they make will be in similar style.
Can we get Unlimited Characters?
I want those, to both fight as and against.
Regardless, this series has only become more and more polished as time goes on.

Ya' can always just turn Unlimiteds off, but It's another level to enjoy the game on. I haven't fought too many Mais or played her(him still kinda?), but I'm sure everyone would appreciate the option.
Basically, I feel there's no reason not to have UCs of everyone!
Plus I really wanna play Unlimited Susan of the O.
As if Unlimited Mai would be any worse than Unlimited Celica. Though, I'm really curious to see Naoto or Unga Snek in Unlimited.

That 3D model of Ragna’s Blade at the start makes me want a blazblue game in Guilty Gear Xrd’s Animation

playing blazblue with a dub version makes the game more alive more like interactive in the story than just japanese only...

Did anyone notice 0:04 to 0:07 that Ragna is rendered in 3D, possibly for shadowing that Team Blue will eventually transition to XRD style character models.
BB has always used 3d models, but as part of the process of making sprites, not the end result. That's why the motions in BB are so fluid. They use them for getting animation and shading, then they render them as 2d sprites. The only reason XRD is in 3d because BB was the game that use High Res sprites, and arcsys didn't want to compete with themselves visually.
i rather it maintain like this rather than becoming like XRD, look more fluid and smooth.

Arc System Works, you made a good series with a variety of characters, some designed to be loved, others designed to be hated, and some... just bug the hell out of everyone (no pun intended), the game itself was fast paced, but the more you play, the more confident you feel. Although, some decisions were cuestionable... like the cut of two important features. The first one (and most important): English Dub ("get over it" comments, come to me), because some of the voices grew on me since Calamity Trigger, and from the change to the original and "godlike" japanese dub, I can say that: Tsubaki is not as calm and composed as Julie Ann Taylor portrayed her.
Kokonoe is not badass, she sounds like an old lady.
Noel, Celica, Platinum and Taokaka sounded cute, and even though I hated/disliked the aforementioned characters, they grew on me, sadly, the hate to them returned, with the lack of English Dub.
Ragna lost the essence that Patrick Seitz put on him, and he did it outstanding.
And now, the people that says: Dub wasn't necessary, No one liked the Dub, get over it, 6.5k people doesn't mean anything, Dub is just for casuals,it was cut to short the gap between japanese and english release, etc. Let me tell you:
First, remember Alter Memory? The anime that made fun of the legacy of the story of the game, changing some details of the story, and tried to approach to new people, failing miserably? Well, it got dubbed, and no one asked for it.
Second, BlazBlue is a niché fighting game, and, as stated by Wikipedia, it has sold 1.2M copies around the world, and I really think that 6.5k people opinions (myself included) care, because ASW cut a feature that was included since the very first game, and cutting it to the end of the road was kind of disrespectful to the voice actors, so as to the players that loved it.
Third and finally: Why, if the dub was the thing that made it being late for America, Centralfiction came almost a month later after the japanese release? Because, IIRC, the PS Store of Hong Kong had the copy of it with the ENGLISH subtitles already, so that the Dub was cut because of the delay of the game is a pathetic reason for me.
Oh, and the people actually IMPORTED the japanese version of te game to get it faster. So... nothing changed by cutting the feature that 6.5k people loved.
The other feature is Unlimited Mars Mode, or, more specifically, Unlimited Characters, because the fights against Izanami and Susanoo that occur in the Story Mode are anti climatic, and goes like any other fight.
I know that this comment won't be at the top of this, neither that will make ASW to change their opinion towards the dub, but, is that BlazBlue helped me to develop my skills at english, and the Dub helped me a lot with the pronunciation, and Unlimited Mars was a very challenging mode to go through (though I didn't pass the Course A of CPEX).
My opinion is delivered, liked or disliked, Idk, and idc either, but I really want to say thank you BlazBlue for exist, and thank you, Arc System Works, for develop it, and make a story that was complex, but really interesting. And, with this patch, you MAY have the opportunity to fix the mistakes made in the past. But, who knows.

Alot of the reason i want to see a eng dub is simply cause its easier to connect and understand characters who can actually speak my language. Plus some va's sound pretty damn good

The things that I would like to see in this game are Unlimited characters, an Unlimited Susano'o boss, and most of all, "The Origin" ( the MURAKUMO UNIT with the Amaterasu symbol) as a playable character.
She stated to be the First Prime Field device so maybe after Ragna freed her and became the new "Kami" of the Master Unit The Origin transmuted into Murakumo Alpha 1 become a secondary Protector and gate keeper to Ragna Tomb within the Azure and she takes the role of the mew Sussano when Tsubaki Izayoi becomes Blazblue's Justice

It looks great but i still want an english dub! Learning japanese isn't an option for me right now. I don't want to miss out on the diverse cast dialogue and interactions. I'd also like to see the chibi help segements return. The ending to a great series feels incomplete without it.

Holy shit. I've never been really hype for a BB game (tbh I haven't played many, I've played ct on pc, cs2 on the psp and I only got cpe because it was cheap on kinguin), but with this being theend of ragna's preety great storyline, I'm going to be kind of sad. Hopefully it's not the end for him as a playable character and damn hope it's not the end for bb.

saarah0006 japan literally doesn't care about Xbox. Look no further than the sales CPEX got on Xbox1. I had both versions and there were literally nobody online ever..Like seriously. The sales were horrendous also.
but I've played the others on xbox before and if they have already had several of the games on one platform why stop all of a sudden. I don't know how the sales were but I got CPEX last year and loved it... I don't play BB for online and I'm sure that others are the same who only play for the story, the only fighter that I do play online is tekken 7 and TTT2

I remember when the game came out about 10 years ago and everyone just said it was a Guilty Gear rip off even seen that ragna look like a reject version of Sol. It's amazing how things changed because now I think people are going to miss BlazBlue. I know i will, as i liked it a bit more than Guilty Gear in some cases. If they can atleat have a Guilty Gear X Blazblue game i think i would be fine with it ending.
Finally after all these years jubei is playable about damn time

the only opportunities i see is: only Ruby, the team RWBY, team RWBY + JNPR, or Team RWBY + Mercury, Emerald, Cinder, Neo(possibly)
Another possibility is using Ruby and Cinder.
I dont think ArcSys is going to flat out make a RWBY fighting game inside a blazblue game. Not to mention ArcSys was also over at Riot games so its possible we'll see a LoL champion in the game or even a character from rising thunder. Either way I'm still hyped.
