    The Detroit Lions right now like the Jaguars only have two wins. The difference is, Dan Campbell has had his Lions ready to play and to compete. His ending speech was pretty much spot on for Urban Meyer. He revealed his hand after the Cincinnati event where the club videos were like the least worst part of those events. The worst part was not flying home with the team. But the part that truly revealed his character were the post 'apologies' he gave.
    And they weren't really even apologies. His apologies were more along the lines of "sorry I got caught." He was basically trying to gaslight his fans and critics alike into thinking that it was that other women's fault that this whole thing was blowing up.
    So him blaming everyone and everything else for his overall failure shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. He's already done it and he will continue to do it. Cause nothing is ever his fault. And if it is, its because someone else caused it to be his fault.

He let his assistant coach stay on staff after multiple cases of domestic abuse. 30 plus arrests during his tenure at Florida. Of course, he does, that's why he was able to win. He let his players pretty much do anything in college. Aaron Hernandez's mother cried when her son signed with Urban. She knew he wouldn't have any discipline and could get away with anything.

    • @TeezyHadaBaby
      @TeezyHadaBaby 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MG-dw6gw Pause. We not gone blame Urban for Aaron Hernandez's choices. By my count he was 18 going into college so he had to be at least 4 years into the street life. • @MG-dw6gw
      @MG-dw6gw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TeezyHadaBaby Well Urban let him get away with committing felonies and swept it all under the rug. He told his older brother that Aaron would possibly spend the rest of his life in prison because of choices he was making at Florida. He never missed a meaningful game in 3 years though. It was Urban's job as his head coach to discipline his players. So basically, he told his players that you can pretty much do anything and get away with it - as long as you're an all American. He continued that behavior that led to the murders.

    • @MG-dw6gw
      @MG-dw6gw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mike Taylor Then why didn't he act like a father and discipline them!? Because he wanted to win and could care less about anyone but himself. The team might not win if they sit out a game. So what does that tell you!? And these weren't minor offenses either. Violent offenses that were swept under the rug. Did you know the entire team smoked weed and he never punished anyone who could play!? Except for the ones who got injured or didn't pan out. He would randomly have them tested and kicked off the team. Some father figure!

    • @MG-dw6gw
      @MG-dw6gw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mike Taylor Nick Bosa said in an interview that Urban wanted him to rush coming back from a leg injury to try to win a national championship. All of these players would have made it to the NFL wherever they went to college. Do you really think technique matters when you are better than everyone else? Not sure anyone on the JAGS wanted him gone because of cancel culture. You can't abuse players and staff while having losing seasons. It's as simple as that. He might have gotten away with it on a winning franchise.

And to think that Meyer at some point was like you or me, just a kid tossing the ball around with their friends. Running back punts pretending to be Prime Time. He was that guy at one point, and now the way he acts makes it hard to believe he has any passion for not just the game but everything that comes with being part of a team, the brotherhood, the camaraderie. He actually isn't that bad of a coach. The Jags have a terrible front office, a terrible roster and arguably the worst QB in the league.

    if Dan Campbell can win games with the roster he has there aint no excuse for the supposed greatest college coach

    • @KMC5240
      @KMC5240 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For real. The Lions still suck, but the coach believes in his team and they believe in him. Time will tell how the Campbell era ends, but he's already a better NFL coach than Meyer.

    Out of all the experts opinions no one has brought up the fact that his players talent pool was terrible. Dan all those coaches you just mentioned had much better players on their roster than Urban did. It's hard to win when the team was 1-15 that you took over. I understand he took the job, he hired the coaching staff, and he got paid a lot of money. I think he could have adapted to the NFL, and been a good coach if you would have gave him enough time to learn what it took in the NFL to win. He's was a great college coach, and he had all the tools 🔧.

      You'd be on much firmer ground if it was only his record that got him fired. It wasn't. Instead, it was a clash of cultures that got him fired. He didn't want 'team team team'... he wanted obedience... he wanted these adult professionals to worship him, as if they were a bunch of wide eyed 18 year olds. And he felt that he could simply skip that part, where he actually earns the trust and respect of his players, because he assumed his college coaching resume simply gifted him such reverence. I mean, how can the man possibly argue that it was his insistence on 'team team team' that got him fired when one of the most publicized incidents involved him skipping a team flight home. It was never 'team team team', it was always 'me me me'. And if you're going to actually pull off that megalomaniac routine, then yeah... you better win more than two games.

    Alot of people complain about cancel culture and everyone is so sensitive now . The truth is it's hard to be a bully today no matter what your job is . There is 📷 everywhere and people now demand respect more . This is a good thing in most cases. It's hard for narrow minded people to understand it's called getting more civilized and it has always moved forward not backwards

    Urban Meyer was fired because his coaching methods don't translate to a winning culture at the pro-level. He should stay in his lane, at the amateur level...
