- Welcome to Railay and A&A Travelling. Railay Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand and in all of Asia. This paradise is only reachable by boat from Ao Nang or Krabi. Railay is not an island, but is separated from the rest of the world, because it is surrounded by limestone cliffs.
We visited West Railay, Phra Nang beach, Tonsay beach, the amazing view point and we even filmed a thai boxing fight in East Railay and much more.....
We definitely recommend this place, but you should probably come here during low season, because it is cheaper, and less tourists.

Playa Railay (en tailandés: อ่าวไร่เลย์) es el nombre de una playa y una pequeña península situada entre la ciudad de Krabi y Ao Nang en el país asiático de Tailandia. Es accesible solamente por bote debido a los altos acantilados de piedra caliza de cortan el acceso. Estos acantilados atraen a escaladores que todo el mundo, pero la zona es también muy popular por sus hermosas playas y la atmósfera tranquila y relajante. El alojamiento va desde los bungalows baratos y populares entre los mochileros y los escaladores, hasta la famosa estación de Rayavadee para gente adinerada. Las cuatro áreas principales de Railay consisten en Pranang, Railay Oeste, Railay Este y Tonsai, esta última destinada a atender sobre todo a los escaladores.
Hay tres áreas principales donde las personas deciden quedarse cuando vuelan al aeropuerto de Krabi. Puede quedarse en la ciudad de Krabi, Ao Nang o directamente en la playa de Railay.
Recomendaría Ao Nang ya que no hay mucho que hacer en la ciudad de Krabi y la playa de Railay es un poco más cara y bastante turística. Railay Beach es ideal para una excursión de un día, pero unas horas fueron más que suficientes para mí.
Ao Nang era una gran base a pesar de que era bastante turística. La zona es preciosa, puedes encontrar muchos restaurantes y cafeterías alrededor y las playas son bonitas.
