I think that professional athletes need to stand on their grounds and make a poll or do something about the pay they get from a race or athletes should go on strike for the Olympics so that way they will do something about how much professional athletes get paid
Have you ever had achilles problems? If yes, how to get over it? I feel the maxflys are the reason for my problems. I'm a 10,5 guy but haven't been able to run for the last 6 months without getting any better.
Sucks to hear man, but no Achilles hasn’t been an issue for me. If you think that’s the problem, try out the superfly elite 2 spikes and see if it helps when you’re back to full strength
do you think 2 and 3 steps away from the line works for everyone? Or should I use my own block settings because I feel that my legs may be too long for this common setup
I’m tryin to improve my sprint technique tbh cause I can’t run very well at the moment, so, do you advice me to buy the Nike maxfly or you advice me to continue to use Nike superfly élite 2? I’m a 10.9” sprinter in 100m! Ty for your videos, very helpful, hope to see you in Padova once again. 💪🏻
I've used the nike airzoom maxfly's for the 2023 season and although i did break my pb every race for the first half of the season going from 22.4 to 21.5 in the 200m and 14.7 to 14.1 in the 110m hurdles, I still can't put all the credit on the spikes, I was going through a physical development with a new strength training program during the off-season and came better prepared physically and mentally into the 2023 season, so breaking a pb was inevitable. But what my conclusion was that my bubbles burst halfway through the season and had to revert to my older spikes (adidas prime sp) and when i ran again i ran similar times as in the maxlfy's, so i really think its more of a personal preference and mental thing when it comes to "do better spikes make you automatically faster". My next move is to go with the superfly elite 2 for the 2024 season as I like Nike spikes more, should be interesting to try them out
Definitely agree with your break down. The advantages are minor and only if you run technically correct. But in sprinting sometimes minor can make a huge difference. But I personally feel like it’s more about the runner than the spikes. I break it down in this video here: th-cam.com/video/98gwZkbAHmg/w-d-xo.html
This is my second year of track & field, I’ve given the maxflys a shot but something about the bubble seems different, my goal is a 10.7, do you recommend me stick to my adidas finesse spikes?
I’m a Nike athlete so I’m definitely bias with my picks but based on what I’ve heard from everyone I’ve been around Nike makes the best product. I would give the superfly elite 2 a try personally. You can watch my breakdown here: th-cam.com/video/98gwZkbAHmg/w-d-xo.html
For me it’s easy because I’ve been this so long it’s like second nature. You have to ask yourself why things change for you when you get in blocks. Maybe you don’t feel confident enough or there’s added pressure with blocks because it simulates a race. Self reflect and then you’ll know what you need to change
@@kingsleysc After thinking about it for a while I think it’s because it simulates a race you’re 100% spot on. I also think it’s because I’m not the most confident in my setup, which I can only improve on from practice. After indoor season is done I’m going to try my best to make it second nature like yourself, practice makes perfect 😤. Appreciate the reply, much love from Halifax NS 👊🏻
Hey could you please explain a bit more on the part where you said that you shouldn't lean into a curve and you should run straight? It's weird to me because I've always heard to lean in but I don't understand why I shouldn't or why I was supposed to.
The quickest way forward is a straight line so you want to run with your shoulders square so you’re going in a series of straight lines around the curve and not bending.
Not at all. There’s a whole circuit of pro track and field in the years between Olympics with world championships and other big events happening every year
What do you want me to answer about pro track & field? 👇🏾

How fast do you think you could run a mile
Aaron "I'm not a coach" Kingsley Brown 🤣
Lol gotta let ‘em know!

I found I had a bad Achilles with maxfly so I switched to adidas for training while I strengthened the Achilles in the gym
congrats on 10k
Thanks for subbing 🎉

I’d work with your coach to find the setting that works best for you and tweak it a little bit using the 2-3 step method as your starting point

No problem man 👊🏾 I would continue with the sprint flys to continue to learn how to sprint properly. Once you feel confident, go for the max flys
How they thought you were Jessie T Usher is beyond me 🤣
Looool crazy right

Well the prime sp is a spike just as elite as the max fly

How do you retain composure in the blocks? When I do standing start strides staying relaxed is easy but as soon as I get into the blocks I tense up.

I know this video is kinda old, but can the Maxflies make you run slower.
If you run the wrong way with bad technique it can mess you up
the maxfly uptempo is good for 100 and 200m?
They can be. Depends on the runner
in the last 30m is running relaxed faster or his half tense better. Vid idea react to fans races
Relaxed for sure. Great idea 👍🏾
Do you basically train for 4 years to run for basically 10 seconds
Not at all. There’s a whole circuit of pro track and field in the years between Olympics with world championships and other big events happening every year
can you start doing shoe reviews for sprinters on your tik tok?
Absolutely. Sounds like a great idea
How the hell is it possible to get 10.7 in 100m I have been training for like a year now and my PR is 11.5 I am 16 btw
I have bad groin 😢 what do you recommend I do with bands
Sorry to hear man. Find a physio who can he’ll you strengthen it. Clam shells are good with bands
A question for is maxyflays is good or no ?
Yes. I did a review in this video here of how I use them: th-cam.com/video/98gwZkbAHmg/w-d-xo.html
Are the nike maxfly more uptempo better than the original?
I like them better personally because they feel lighter and less of a bubble which gives me more stability
How do you get sponsorships from brands?
Marketability. Good match for the brand and a good ambassador. Marketing agent to negotiate for you
I hope you don't
but how often do you get injured?
I spent a lot of time and $ on my body to prevent injury so I’ve been able to keep it to a minimum 🤞🏾
What were your high school pr’s for the 100m and 200m?
10.37w 10.46 legally and 21.00
@@kingsleysc Amazing 👍
Does plyometric exercises increase speed?
It can if done properly
What is your opinion on using maxflys for jumping?
I would instead buy the jump spikes Nike made that have a bubble built in: go.magik.ly/ml/1qf1w/
Are you able to make a living off track including the sponsorships and everything else?
Yes. I’m fortunate enough to be able to do so but a lot of track athletes can’t say the same if they aren’t top 10-15 in the world in their event
Where do athletes even get money from?
Prize money. Shoe contracts. Endorsements etc
Hold up does he have 2 apple watches
One’s an Apple Watch. Other is a whoop
10kkkk
🔥🔥🔥
Why do you have two watch’s 😂
Lol I don’t. One is a whoop
what a dumb and uneducated question (and video)...... all you need to know is if they make you faster........
spoilder alert, they dont.
