  • Kayak Load & Unload Stabilizer
If you have a kayak & need an effective way to stabilize it while you are getting into & out of the kayak, then I have developed the answer to your prayers. After my wife overturned one of our kayaks while getting into it, I decided to design & build a stabilizing mechanism that would minimize the chances of that happening again. With that in mind, I developed a floating kayak stabilizer that is intended to be installed on a floating dock and/or any dock that has "consistent" water level. It floats in the water & will “drop down” approximately six (6) inches until it bottoms out, all the time remaining in contact with the kayak to help stabilize & control the kayak for both loading & unloading. It is also easily installed & removed from the dock if needed.
I am currently taking orders to build these for those who are interested in the personal safety of their own and/or that of family & friends. I will build them only as orders are taken, with the expected shipping date approximately ten (10) days after the order is received. Price (including installation instructions) is $525 plus shipping & handling. I also offer a safety handrail which adds to the stability
getting in & out of any watercraft. It is approximately 36” tall by 15” wide & is made to be permanently bolted to the dock. Price is $85 plus shipping & handling. Requests can be sent to me via Email to DTaylorAM@att.net or text to phone…..765-426-2473. Once I receive your request, we can work out the payment arrangement.
    Thanks for your interest.

I have been trying for years to find a solution to get out of my kayak on a floating dock. Thanks I think this will work.

Great idea. I was about to spend a lot on a prefabricated launch. This does the trick for a fraction of the cost. The only modification I’ll make is to duplicate the rail/wall on the opposite side to provide more stability as we’re getting in/out. This has given me some great ideas though. It’ll also give the kayaker something to grasp as they launch/land. 👍

Brilliant. Love it! I was researching options for building a kayak launch system to launch my kayak from a rocky shore line (without damaging the hull), and I ran across your video. I may borrow your rail configuration as part of my design.

It looks good, just needs a frame to help lower and raise you up and down, plus tie off the kayak so it doesnt slip forward or back . Otherwise its a good design.

Do you have design plans for this kayak stabalizer? Are you willing to share them or sell them? We are putting a 4x8 floating dock next to a seawall. This would be perfect for that. You are a genuine thinker. You remind me of my inventive grandfather who designed and patented a home vacuum systems in the 1930's. Thanks for sharing

I just found your great kayak stabilizer. Do you still have plans for it? Also, are you willing to share them? Thanks.
