Its hard for me to say since its like asking who your favorite child is. But heres the deal. The Labrax carbon guides makes casting silky smooth but if you break it, its a pain to replace it while with the Lunamis the monocoque butt handle gives you very slight sensitivity. But I noticed I started seeing small bubles on the carbon fiber wrap on the blank but it never peeled off or anything. So I hope that answers your question.
@@philipseiler224 do let me know if you encounter those as well since I think on mine since it gets very hot here in Texas. That may have caused the smal bubbles
@@bestthingsinceslicedrice no worries. I live in Sydney and also gets hot in the summer months. I’ll definitely put them to the test and report back to you. Cheers!
I just ordered the Lunamis. I like the reel seat and design better. For guides, can't beat the titanium. They shine in the sun and contrast really well with the black rod. Just my opinion. I am upgrading shimano expride
@@redseaaquariums7564 I was able to use my Lunamis rod against a Red Snapper here in Texas so I can confidently say that rod will be up to the task. As for the Labrax I havent been able to test it out since I use that rod to target speckled trout, spanish macks and redfish so im not sure to be honest. Both rods are designed for Seabass so I think the Labrax will be able to handle it as well. So spin the wheel and see where it lands between the two. But if this helps, i find the rod tip balance on the Labrax better than the Lunamis since the monocoque handle on the Lunamis makes it feel a bit tip heavy due to the handle being light.
both are sensitive but in terms of having the better back bone since the Lunamis version that I have is a medium. It will be more sturdier compared to the Labrax which is a medium light. But both rods are able to handle large fish. As for the Labrax I havent tested it against a red snapper since I dont want to gamble breaking it.
Cual es el top de cañas shimano ???
DAIWA LABRAX. 👍
Yeap the AGS guides on the Labrax makes casting feel like silk
Hi, enjoying your vids! Which rod is the better quality in your opinion?

Am looking for a rod at 86 ML and came to think its either lunamis or labrax. Any suggestions on which of the two might be better?
What fish will you be targetting?
Hey, fishing small to medium sizes trevallies, queens and snappers from shore

Thank you ! I think you can’t go wrong with either.
