    Appreciate the video. It’s not really as advertised because of the different pickups. The solid body sounds phatter, but that’s because of the himbuckers. With that said, the semi-hollow hangs well despite having single-coil pickups.

      Hey Kevin! Thanks for the comment. Yes agreed with different pick-ups it's harder to compare them but was also going for the solid body verse semihollow.

    The thinline had a really nice presence to it, however the solid body definitely had a solid vibe. Solid body probably a little more versatile. Nice comparison!

      Thanks for the feedback! Yes totally different pick ups but still fun to compare!

    Are both the bridge and neck pickups on the solid body seymour duncan little 59s? Man that sounds incredible. Did you have a compressor on that?

    • @MillerMusic
      @MillerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Matthew! Thanks so much. Just the bridge pick up is a little 59. Yes I did have a compressor on it. The keely tone workstation.

    hi Eric, i've always wanted a "thin line Tele" ever since watching Carl Perkins on the Johnny Cash show when I was 15. I still haven't got one....yet.

    Both sounded great. Solid body sounded a bit fuller methinks. Sound wise I’d take either. In reality I’d take whichever is lighter

    Both very nice.
    I have just bought a Classic Vibe Thinline Telecaster, and will be modding it, with new pickups, etc.
    It's much nicer for my poor left shoulder, compared to the weight of a solid body Tele.

    Awesome Miller👍🛎✔《☆》As much as I like humbuckers I have to pick the Thinline mainly for the clean bridge sound. The opening chords in the video reminded me of an old Alice Cooper song🖖🤓🏈

      Hey man! Thanks so much really appreciate your feedback. Yeah I guess it depends on the day which one I like better 🙂 which Cooper song?

    This isn’t a comparison of guitar sound as much as it’s a comparison of PICKUPS!! Need to compare one and then the other on each pickup one as soon as the other also

    • @MillerMusic
      @MillerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Charles, yes agreed. One of the things I’m comparing in this video is the two different styles and sounds of the pick ups

  • @GVarCha88
    @GVarCha88 ปีที่แล้ว

    The sound of the semi hollow is more shiny and melodic.

    It's a little problematic to compare sound from body styles, though, when you have totally different pickup sets.

    • @MillerMusic
      @MillerMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Yes agreed probably would've been easier with similar pickups.

    • @RideAcrossTheRiver
      @RideAcrossTheRiver ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MillerMusic You may have proved, however, that hogging out a little would doesn't change sound all that much! Thinlines look cool--that's the point of them!
