Man, the AI pathfinding in the swamp is especially bad. Cross a tiny stream and your companion runs half way across the map for five minutes.
Lucky they don’t trigger anomalies or companions would be dead minutes into a trip to GS. They can still stir up a lot of trouble with mutants though.

It's funny considering that these sorts of incidents in the Great Swamp were exactly why they removed the AI's ability to trigger anomalies in the first place. I'm pretty sure every other location is nowhere near as bad as Great Swamps for pathing
I wouldn’t doubt it. Imagine the carnage with AI’s triggering Anomalies.
Some of the companion mods make them much more tolerable, I don’t think I could play without them now.
I randomly found your series while searching for longer Stalker videos to watch while going to sleep and I love it. I like the 1-1,5h format and watch it on a phone while studying, on the tv when going to sleep or in a popup window while doing something on the computer. I still have 90 episodes to go so there's enough content to keep me entertained for a few weeks. And I started playing Anomaly again after more than a year :D
Cheers! I’m glad you picked up Anomaly again too. There are plenty of mods which shake things up in interesting ways if you want something a little different.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie I've been following Groks G.A.M.M.A. modpack for a while now, it's pretty hardcore, but enjoyable too. If you haven't yet, you should check it out too. I played with tons of mods back in the day but now I'm too lazy to install them. I'll enjoy the good old vanilla experience for now :D
I’m testing GAMMA at the moment. There are some things I think should be changed, and it still has stability issues, but overall the experience has been good.

when you enter the trade interface with the guy, he is in the animation process of drinking.
when you enter it, suddenly you can see the drink disappear.
Haha, yeah that grabbed me too. I've seen it happen other times which is really cool. I do wonder if items like that spawn to fit the animation, or whether the NPC had them to begin with and use them if they're in the inventory.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie actualy both, every item you see in their animations has an invisible animation item in their inventory
Considering the sphere12 is a ballistic helmet combined with a M40 Gasmask i would say no the M40 is not better
love the series Blonde, I started my crafting only run with same conditions and i love it, the harder you get destroyed the better stalker experience imo, i also had a trick for the swamps, i just bought the backpack and place the stash next to the guide, did a complete sweep of the swamps and with all the loot stashed i just bought a ticket to the bar, you can travel with a guide while being overburden so when i got to the loading poing next to the entrance to wild territory i just put the stash unloded everything there and started moving it next to my mains stash next to the technician.

Don't feel bad about missing the radio stash, I had to Google it, and non of my friends knew about it either. Clear Sky base is sorely lacking in stashes.
Clear Sky feels like it would be a very rough start for a crafting challenge… 🤔

i just started playing this and have been having such a blast, finally fixed up a Kar-98 and got a scope for it, and i finally feel like im in business, i might start bringing some people along on my travels and start to push further north from Rostok
The Kar is a decent weapon, nice work.
Clear Sky base has no blue containers. But. Just at the back of the bar. There's a small window with bars next to a side door. The back of the radio is a stash. There's also a blue locker in the fishing hamlet inside a small house, a green locker at the old church. Or you can buy a backpack :- )
I wonder why the Blue Sky base is so dry for stashes? Good call on the radio stash, I’ll check it if we’re back that way.
Yeah I agree about stats on broken items, when I did similar hardcore scavenge playthroughs I had to keep a stalker wiki open on my second monitor just to see whether stuff was worth picking up or not, as in a regular playthrough I usually stick to the same equipment and just ignore everything that isn't consumables, money and ammo.
I’m hopeful that a QOL mod will take care of this.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie Maybe there is one, but honestly there's so many and a lot of them are not very well known or conflict with something. You not found any such mod yet?
I haven’t, but I’m keeping an eye and ear out. As you say, there are so many mods now. That’s why creators like Grok are consolidating many of the good ones into packages.
Better stats bars plus adds this now. You can hold ALT to compare at 100 percent

Your video motivate me to play Stalker Anomaly, although I shit myself when I explore Red Forest for Luhask(?) Quest in Story Mode by getting jumpscared by Chimera and chased by that big mutant, although the Monolith is Dumbfounded in the Gate.
Love the Series!
Red Forest is no joke. It’s grown on me though, lots of opportunity for loot thanks to the constant conflict.

There is actually an addon, that does allow you to compare items as if they were at 100% condition. Not sure, which addon it is exactly, but it is part of the EFP 3.0 modpack.
I’m using that mod at the moment and loving it 🤘
Do the companions have unlimited ammo as i never see them being given any? Another great video, really enjoying the series so far, good hunting my friend
Yeah, companions have bottomless ammo. You could arm a small posse of Stalkers with repaired armour and weapons and become the alpha outfit of the Zone.
Gear doesn’t need to strictly be in good condition. If you come across a good weapon in poor condition, give it your companion, they’ll use it like it was brand new.

For sure, you can’t get complacent. I was ambushed and almost taken out by 3 bloodsuckers (in Jupiter I think), and burners and other elemental damage can still 1-shot you.
I remember that in some mod you could harvest beak from dead crows and cook brew from it. It gave radiation resistance ;)

On my day 5 i Guess ...After a Fair but amount of Ecologists task .. One of them gave me a Fully repaired and partially upgrade Orange suite with 85% Fire res.
That’s a decent reward, I don’t think I’ve ever received one of those before.

I am yet to find any stash in clear sky base, and i just spawn a backpack in the garage as a stashpoint, because thats gotta be an oversight of development lol
Apparently there are a couple of stashes. A few people have mentioned them in the comments in some the Great Swamp eps. I had no idea, looked barren to me 😂
The black dogs give of some kind of psi field weaker than burers and psi dogs.
Interesting. I seem to be encountering a lot more of them with this mod loadout.
Clear Sky base is a bit sparse
and given the effort gone into getting it,

the quality seems ok 7 was I think the best so far except when moving which seems to be the main problem in all of them it's like motion blur and film grain are maxed still love the series though
Darkness, foliage, speed, they all kinda hit the encoder hard, even if I output at high resolution. 😣
Haven't spent too much time in the swamps but I'll use this vid to find the Clear Sky base.
The swamps are a nightmare for undergeared players. The reeds and tall grass make it so easy to be ambushed or stumble into an anomaly.

I dont get it, swamps and most areas are always boring and barren for me. I keep the mutant pop a bit higher than the stalker pop but i dunno. I started using the A-Life Warfare Overhaul mod, which allows even higher population levels, but I'm still not seeing my swamps looking like this. I can count on one hand the amount of times I'm been startled by a cat that I can't see in the grass whos tearing me apart, and I've only seen one of the Metro Watchers once ever lol
Sometimes areas are like this. The longer you leave it, the more likely stalkers are to have cleared dangers on their travels. It can ruin immersion a little sometimes, but you know that the danger will be back eventually.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie I've noticed things are nice and fresh after letting my character take a nap and head out straight away. Lately in my new playthrough, I'm taking naps and if I make it past the cordon cats, I'm getting sniped by monolith who keep pouring into cordon even though alife is offline lol. Not complaining though, the loots been a nice shot in the arm after a rough start
