INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS Facts You Didn't Know!

- Did you know this dark story in Inglourious Basterds? Director Quentin Tarantino worked on the script for around 10 years. He told a story to Brad Pitt during a round table discussion, it goes like this.. Til Schweiger was initially against wearing a Nazi uniform for a movie role, because he was born and raised in Germany and hated anything Nazi from his gut. So guess what made him accept the role, it's when he was told he would brutally kill a Nazi in every scene that he wore the uniform. This made him happily accepting to play the part of "Hugo Stiglitz". It's a little dark, but we totally understand his feelings. #shorts #inglouriousbasterds #didyouknow #moviefacts #moviedetails #quentintarantino

I freaking love that Til basically WAS Hugo Stiglitz!
Every German soldier knows about Hugo Stiglitz

@@dep7up that did his intro? Yes!

@@fieryphoenix586 finally somebody said what’s missing!!! 🎶 plus freeze frame NAME cue
Hugo Stiglitz is basically an irl doom slayer
Nah B.J. Blazkowicz.
@@Killerlizzerd97cant believe bro just made the claim that B.J. Blazkowicz is a human by the end of wolfenstine 2
@@Killerlizzerd97 seriously how do they not do Blaskowitz? Like, how can you mess up literally World War II Nazis killers in the guy in the original comment still chose the doom slayer. What the heck?!?!
@@Puppy_Puppington it's cause Blazkowicz is Doomguy's ancestor lol
Wolfenstein fits better
GREAT things often come from PAIN
It is not dark to kill a nazi. Dark is just a colour. It is a right thing to do.
Great things come from love too ❤️.
Bruh he legit looks like bj blaskowics if they make a wolfenstein movie he needs to be casted
He wouldn't mind killing nazis again.
He does but he’s told too old and too small
Bro fr
Everybody has heard of Hugo Stigletz
*power chord*
And the bear Jew!
@@maw4734tuh-nuuuuueeeooww!!!!
Hugo Stieglitz was the man in that movie even during his death scene repeatedly stabbing a nazi in the neck and head was one on my fav scenes him the bear Jew all of it
He would make a great B.J Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein
Dude yes he got that face
Til for a Wolfenstein movie
Perfect casting fr. He even looks like Terror Billy
I’m not even German but I would feel the same way.
I think the pants they used to wear is a real deal breaker tbh. Who the hell thought puffy horse back riding pants looked bad ass?
Free Palestine
@@dumann9142From HamAss?
And that is the problem
@@someperson9999that was officers that wore those
it's called "principles"
It's sad that Germans hate themselves now.
Hugo was a great character and got killed off too early
I’m cool with this 🤷🏾♂️
👍🏻
Every German soldier knows of Hugo ShhhhTeeglitz 😂😂😂
My only disappointment is that there's no spin off movie called Hugo Stiglitz. 😂😂😂
I don't know if this is true by the way. But a great film nevertheless.
It is true, Quentin Tarantino confirmed it.
😭😭😭
@@callumoshea6352 Yeah I heard he was not going to make the film until he found the right actor.
It's not a little dark its called being a war hero
Ngl He Looked Deeply Pissed Off Every Scene It Makes So Much Sense Now😂😂😂😂
Til Swagger 😂😂😂
That fist killing always gets me
Quentin Tarantino made a very big mistake in my opinion, by not giving Goring a main role in the film. He was so eccentric, his character in the movie could have been written so well by Tarantino
Hugooo Shhtiglitz
The only good Till Schweiger performance
But to be fair it was a really good performance
He trying to cleanse his past 😂😂
And then 15 years later Til plays a high ranking german officer in the Ungentlemanly Warfare movie💀
Crazy cause he played a nazi again in the movie “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare” he doesn’t kill any nazi in the movie.
I've played Castle Wolfenstein and killing in the game Nazis NEVER gets old.
Til Swagger, Til Swaydjer, man nobody on TH-cam says his name right...
I totally love this movie with my greatest actor, Brad, that he always shines ❤😊💯🔥✨️🙏😇😘🫶😉🙌👏
I named my bearded dragon Hugo after Hugo Stiglitz
that just makes him even more badass imo.
If only Til Schweiger had such a strong aversion towards the bottle as he has towards Nazi uniforms...
Till Schweiger is a freaking dork, I'm glad he didn't have too many lines in the movie
People are fickle. He would have no problem dressing up as a pirate, even kids cartoons have pirates. Pirates get a universal pass for r@ping, murdering and pillaging.
Not true. A pirate can be anything. A nazi is by definition assisting in genocide.
I get that you’re trying to be philosophical here but you’re comparing nazis who believed their race were superior and orchestrated the genocide of millions based upon that belief to pirates who were criminals for material wealth 🤦🏻
Hating and calling everyone nazi gets you more pretentious, woke cookie points.
That's so punk rock
Lol thats so SLC punk rock
He reminds me of blaskowitz from wolfenstein
Stiglitz instantly reminded me of BJ from Wolfenstein
Christoph Waltz 💀
Stiglitz is the forefather of Luke Steiner
Everyone loved Hugo
Just like me 1st gen Mexican descent in USA but absolutely hate the mex cartels n everything they do
Hugo….. He da man!
One of my top 10 movies.
✨*HUGO STIGLITZ*✨
Bro refused a hugo boss fresh clothes
He turned down the part of Steamboat Willie in Saving Private Ryan.
I believe Hans let the family live because at the end he is absolutely appaled that Aldo would break a promise
Terror Billy
The uniforms and the flag are actually the coolest in world history.....you people are just jealous haters.
He is and will always be my favourite basterd
Palestine
Hugo Stiglitz is a real life BJ Blazkowicz!
Thats not dark. Its fantastic.
Till Schweiger is considered one of the worst actors in german history but he absoluter killed this role
That's what the movie is really about. Sticking it to the nazis
They did their share of sticking.
That's dark? IT'S AWESOME.
Remember that there was a big difference between Nazi, German and Wehrmacht soldier
This has nothing to do with the video
Yeah. Stiglitz was a drafted German soilder who killed SS officers
Yea their names and pay differed
Real talk, if everyone in the German army heard of Hugo Stiglitz, how the hell did they last so long in the pub full of German soldiers?!
Yeah it also bothers me. Tarantino does this in a lot a his movies leave out things to let the audience make their own idea. My theory is that 1. The picture of him in the newspaper was small and didn't have good quality and 2. The Nazi officer that exposed and shot them was the only one in the bar to notice this and it further raised his suspicion but he couldn't just shoot them by simply guessing that he was him so he played along to eventually expose them
Just because people have heard of him doesn’t mean they know what he looks like.
Plenty of Americans gave heard of Doctor Kevorkian, Rodney King, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby and Timothy McVeigh. But I doubt many people would recognize them if they walked into a bar looking like they did when they first became well known.
I'm sorry. But the final scene in this clip, while shoving something in his throat. He could have scratched his eyes out. Shot was too wide
Hugo....😮
He is not german anymore he is german in dna not in soul
Respect
Imagine bj blazkowicz vs Hans landa
I'd be proud wearing that suit if i was German
This movie is actually sh*t
Hugo stiglitz is just like the main character in Wolfenstein game
Trump supporters least favorite movie 😅😂
"but get this"
You betcha... Nooorth DAkOTAaaaa
NICE!!!!
Fun fact on Germany history book its jumps from 1933 to 1950 like nothing happened
What?
What else is he going to say in this woke
PC era.......he's proud of his grandfather's
and the fatherland?
Bj blazkowicz for live action wolfenstein
There's probably 250 videos stating that fact..

I don't understand everything about this TH-cam channel, I don't understand everything about the comments on this TH-cam post, and I don't understand everything about the TH-cam channels of everyone that commented on this TH-cam post, no offense to everyone.
I think I lost a little respect for Til.
Hey balances the scales
I’m not even german and I’d love to wear the uniform 😊
Awesome
That's pretty nit picky
I didn’t notice until the clip but does he suffocate him with just his whole ass hand? The sleeping nazi I mean
He crammed his hand down the guy's throat I'm pretty sure
I don't understand his feelings. You're a fkn actor. You're not paid to have emotions.
Interesting
I dont
Do u guys believe this nonesense ?
Yes. Because it's true
Average Chad German 🗿
Stunning. Brave.
Soy!
Damm i didnt know creating a independent economic state makes you that evil in history
No I don’t understand his feelings
🤦 Till Schweiger couldn't just forget about this German guilt for the duration of the shoot!? Unbelievable...
This movie is so bad makes no sence at all
